obesity is just one piece of a greater systemic issue, that being that the politicians of this country have sold us out to corporate scumbags. from there you can trace nearly every issue, including obesity and the breakdown of community and family. Switzerland is a country that still invests in its citizens, the US does not.

you're torturing yourself over nothing. she was a kid. she wasn't going to stay that way forever.

I mean that's fine but then just end the marriage instead of having an affair?

She didn't help you survive losing your marriage. She literally caused it, in cahoots with you. Sorry, but it's tough to feel sympathy here. Get your shit together.

right? why did he rent an air BNB for $800/week when he had an apartment? claims to act logically, plenty of signs otherwise.

you're doing number 5 from above without being married. you got it all figured out though, with your extensive experience of 3 years living in the real world.

that's some bs. if she clears her schedule for you for a first date, she's desperate AF and that's a red flag

I don't really understand how y'all can have kids with someone and pray for their downfall. There's no situation where that will lead to your kids having better lives. Hate the ex all you want, but my kids come before my pettiness every day of the week. What's better for them is better for me.

I've definitely said this to my wife about her mom. I guess it depends on what your mother is actually like.

who is they? bc it's not just one sex or the other. and behind every cheating wife, there's also a scumbag dude who knows she's married and doesn't give af.

There is really no evidence for that whatsoever

One interpretation would be that men simply have lower expectations of their partners than women do.

You never trusted her to begin with so it's unsurprising as to how it ended. That sucks though.

you don't have to say male, it's just patriarchy. the definition of the word itself denotes that it is a male dominated hierarchy

You'll come out of it mate. She was a major frame of reference, and now that's gone, you're having a bit of an identity crisis and that's to be expected. However, seems to me you're better off now than centering yourself on something that wasn't real. Your life is a blank canvas. Many would be envious of that. You aren't trapped into anything. You have total freedom to become whatever you wish. You'll get it sorted I'm sure.

yeah I agree. but either way it is a net positive. more marriages doesn't mean shit if they all end in divorce anyway, and everyone is worse off than they started.

yes, and that's good. divorce isn't good for anyone.

cringe af dude. you have no idea about this person or what ladies he can pull. I can tell the kind you'll pull, from this comment, and buddy, they aren't marriage material. "access" lmao. turn off the Andrew Tate.

I think you're taking it the wrong way. It's not an uncommon sentiment and there are a million former housewives out there that can explain why it's a bad idea. Maybe a bit harshly worded on her part, but other than that I see no foul.

Is she wrong? Are you willing to abandon your career and stay home with no income on the promise of your marriage? You get divorced in ten years and now you have a ten year gap in your resume and nothing in your bank account. Now what?

That's also possible. I guess my main thought or piece of advice here is that I understand this is deeply painful for you, but she may not be acting of sound mind. It sounds like there is something seriously wrong with her.

you should really look into the effects of childbirth and hormones on women. I knew a lady who came home from the hospital, handed the baby to her father with a smile, and promptly walked to the backyard and slit her wrists with her husband and dad standing in the kitchen. It's no joke.

Well maybe that's my answer then. I don't have the energy to keep this up, whether I want to or not.

Yeah I agree that I'm the one that fucked up. I don't think I said any different? I want to repair it, I just don't know that it can be repaired, and if I can't fix it, then there's no point to me being here?
