I'm sorry but I'm not buying it. I don't see how anything could be less hygienic than living among people shitting, pissing, puking, and injecting themselves on the street. There are billions and billions of dollars being spent on this problem. Much of it is wasted and being funneled to beaurocrats in govt or corrupt non-profits. It's not a money problem. It's a management and enforcement problem. Giving cities the ability to enforce and clean up the streets is an excellent start. https://www.np…

Homeless camps are a blight on communities. They attract crime of all kinds. It shouldn't be normalized. I don't know the statistics on the gender side of this problem, but make no mistake, it is a problem. Setting up a tent on a city sidewalk shouldn't be acceptable. There are shelters, non-profits, and other resources that support people that are homeless. Nobody in that position should be given a choice on whether or not they are going to take advantage of those resources or just decide inste…

Please don't strip the humanity of your sons away by referring to them as "males". They are boys, sons, or young men. Referring to them as "male" has a dehumanizing effect.

I lead a team in corporate America. I can tell you right now an investigation would absolutely be opened and the offending person would feel very uncomfortable. They probably wouldn't be fired, but they'd more than likely be removed from working day to day with the person they said that to. Probably have to take some training and be issued a first and final warning. HR is there to protect the company, and letting someone degrade someone on the basis of their gender is absolutely creating a hosti…

Particularly concerning to see the "trades" suggested as some sort of panacea. There is a school of thought pervasive in academia that it's perfectly fine for women to pursue higher education and traditionally white collar jobs and that boys and men are really most beneficial for society when they are using their physical labor to support society. I spoke to a student pursuing her doctorate at Yale and she casually explained to me that women are better suited for "thinking" and men are better su…

They identify a problem and manage to blame the victims while ignoring the underlying cause. The West has abandoned, abused, and maligned what it means to be a man. These young men are treated like dysfunctional girls the second they enter the world. No wonder they are checking out.

Would love to see some primary sources on this nonsense. The TL;DR of this drivel is that men are to blame for women not rising to the highest levels of competitive chess. That's hilarious.

This is hilarious. You can try to frame and influence a narrative if you'd like, but the assumption that people are sheep merely looking to be manipulated is deeply cynical. I doubt very much it will work here of all places...

It's not really crazy. Men and women naturally self select their occupation based on preference, and despite the narrative that there are no differences in the sexes, there are. That's also why you see more women nurses than men...

Most women that self-identify as feminist don't hate men. Most women that self identify are so brainwashed by the marketing they fail to recognize the misandry. That's the obstacle.

You're either dumb or deliberately failing to acknowledge the points being made in the post and the comments. Nobody would argue that discrimination should be legal, condoned, or encouraged. The devil is in the details. Take the boy and the girl modeling clay heads as an example... Equality would be encouraging the girl for her success at replicating the model and following the teacher's instruction. It would also be recognizing the boy for his creativity, spontaneity, and willingness to explore…

I'm out of the dating world but when I was dating I ran into a very similar situation as you describe. I make good money but going out a few times a month was starting to add up. I started suggesting that we grab a drink at a restaurant I wouldn't mind eating at. I would say "hey, how about we grab a drink at xyz place and see if we both would like it to turn into dinner?" This works on a few levels... It's low risk and gives her an out. More importantly, it sets up a paradigm where you're on eq…

You understand the sub you are in, right? The whole point of this sub is to point out how society has set up social and legal systems that disenfranchise men while keeping its heel on their neck by telling them how "non-vulnerable" they are.

Interesting take. I disagree. Virtually every space/institution/club for men to be men among men has been dismantled over the last 50 years in the name of equality, inclusivity and defeating MiSoGyNy. Barring men from gyms is discriminatory and would absolutely not be tolerated if this were the other way around. I don't really see much sense in arguing the point with you, though - the CT Supreme Court just said so. As far as men treating gyms like a meat market? Maybe you need to frequent more g…

Disagreeing with someone's view isn't transphobia. This is the problem with the trans community...they're out to label anyone that doesn't tow their party line as some kind of bigoted monster. You're entitled to your view, just as Dave Chappelle is entitled to his. Regardless of how you feel about how sex and gender are or aren't related, the reality is that every human on this earth did come from people that own vaginas. And vaginas, for the vast majority of people, are associated with the term…
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates15/10/21 07:01 PM

Yea...the word transphobia has an actual definition. Per Webster: irrational fear of, aversion to, or discrimination against transgender people. Dave doesn't express any of that. What you are describing: "Dave doesn't think Trans women are women" isn't 1. Accurate based on what he says in the performance (maybe you should watch it). 2. Isn't transphobia. Calling him a "Boomer" makes you sound like an idiot.

Nah. He's none of those things. He's a brilliant comedian whose relevance has endured for twenty years. Those that take themselves too seriously to the point where they can't find humor in the human condition are missing a lot of what life has to offer.

While I will acknowledge that the worst in people seems to come out on social media, I'm not sure I accept the assertion that these people don't represent their community. They're loud, visible, and widely followed. Absent condemnation from other parts of that community en mass, silence implies acceptance.

It was absolutely hilarious. Dave is an equal-opportunity roaster, which all good comedians ought to be. Its observational commentary on our culture, and He spent quite a bit of time debunking the narrative from the trans-community that he is transphobic. The great irony here is that his critique primarily centers around the oversensititvity of that community...which is exactly what we are witnessing. I find it hilarious that folks are weighing in without having spent the hour to watch it. One o…

Thank you for weighing in. Interesting stuff. Pro choice is an interesting topic. I wonder...is LWMA supportive of men having a say in that discussion? How does LWMA feel about the right of men to weigh in on whether an abortion ought to happen or not? It's an interesting question...whether or not r/Men's Rights is right leaning or not. I can tell you that I identify as more right-leaning than left-leaning politically, but I'm not sure whether or not that has anything to do with the experiences that have led me to feel there is a need for outlets that discuss men's issues. Maybe it does though. Another comment here asserts that this sub is more open to diverse sexual orientations and perhaps more trans-inclusionary. I don't really agree becaus…

We're all oppressed in some way on some level at some point in our lives. It's not helpful to define yourself as a victim. Better to acknowledge racism exists, teach history, and educate about its ills while propping every person up and emphasizing the ability of the individual to rise up and above it. We learned about slavery in school. We did multiple modules on it over the years, and it was always in the context that it happened and it shouldn't have and we know better now. CRT claims it's st…
/r/AntiFeminists12/09/21 04:31 PM

Part of the problem with critical race theory is that it enables victimhood. It teaches people they are oppressed through no fault of their own which opens the door for it becoming a crutch, or an excuse for their inability to succeed. What benefits people, regardless of their color or socioeconomic status, is an emphasis on their own self determination while stressing the importance of developing competence, discipline, and accountability.
