I can tell you, I'm a guy who doesn't do these tricks - and subsequently has a lot of trouble meeting women! All I want is a way to grab the interest of a woman to the point where I can have a conversation, but unless you do some of the things listed there - I won't get that chance.

Piercing the body is not medically necessary and, depending on the part of the body pierced, causes irreparable physical damage. Many children have their tonsils and wisdom teeth removed even if it's not medically necessary - and we still don't even know what tonsils do. What's the actual damage done to the individual? I was circumcised - no damage done. Which is worse to the child - circumcising them or raising them to be racist?

Phrasing it in terms of mutilation is what makes it unacceptable to you. Parents have the leeway to raise their children with respect to many different variables, from home schooling, social exposure, piercings, surgery, orthodontics and so on. All of these items can be phrased with highly loaded terms such as brainwashing, extreme isolation, and again, mutilation. If parents are allowed to raise their children within the church of Scientology or teach them extreme racism, are permitted to withh…

Children belong to the religion their parents bring them up in. If a parent fully immerses their child in a religion, exposes them to media, material and a community which exclusively practices that religion, then you probably have a >80% chance (Made Up Statistic Alert) that the kid will end up following that religion.

Actually, increasing_entropy said that s/he was against adult circumcision. He said: "Unless you happen to to have a medical condition that warrants it, there is no reason to even consider circumcision." If he meant that "Unless your CHILD happens to have..." - if so, he should learn to speak clearly.

entropy said: "Unless you happen to to have a medical condition that warrants it, there is no reason to even consider circumcision." There are many reasons I can choose to have a circumcision. Saying that a medical condition is the only valid one is extremely short sighted.

According to YOU there is no valid reason to consider circumcision aside from medical conditions. Please do not project your values onto others. It's my body, and my choice to do what I want to do to/with it, based on MY values, not yours.

You keep throwing it out this 60% number, and are comparing MGM to FGM. 2 points to consider: - Of this 60%, how many object? How many lives are ruined (very few?) Personally, I'm glad I was circ'ed when I was young, and didn't have go through that when I was older. - FGM has terrible, horrible side-effects. MGM does not.

Totally agree with you, especially on points 2 and 3.

This. If the woman doesn't want the child, and wants to give it up for adoption, I bet the man would have a hard time taking custody - the child will go up for adoption. OR, if the man does keep the child, the woman will likely have no future responsibilities for the child. If the man doesn't want the child, and wants to give it up for adoption, the woman can say too bad, and keep the child. And then the man may still have future responsibilities, according to the pleasures of the court.

I'd X-post this to a different subreddit, you'll get a better conversation going, something like /r/relationshipAdvice.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
