Oh it's NOT that I think guys like Dave don't exist, I absolutely know that creepy shit like this happens. The reason I personally think it might not be true is that she's meant to have written this entire post while he was awake but too hungover to talk, and she is supposedly in shock but she describes it very flowery and lucidly. It's the style of writing that seems fictional, it's not that the events are unbelievable.

I'm glad someone else thought this. I don't think this is real, a lot of horror writers see reddit as a good place to create online urban legends. It's not that things this creepy never happen, but the tone of writing is pretty story teller. She's supposed to have written all this while the guy was still hungover the morning after, and she was still in shock. It doesn't seem real to me.

Red flags red flags red flags. It sounds like you're already a bit uncomfortable with it. Offering you an iphone and telling you he's going to buy you a souvenir in the distant future (thereby checking whether you're intending to be with him in the distant future) is scary shit.
