Yes there are a lot of people who seem to hate cats in a very vocal about it. They are also a lot of people who hate pigs and are very vocal about it. There are a lot of people who hate birds in a very vocal about it. Who gives a fuck. Trying to infer a character trait about somebody’s belief about animals gets really sticky because people have these beliefs systems due to cultural religious or even legitimate personal experiences. Sometimes they’re just shitty people who hate animals. I’m speci…

LMFAO well then you need to scroll up and read this whole thread because it’s filled with nothing but women who are doing exactly that. Taking an opinion/preference/habit and acting like it’s an objective fact and projecting that not only to the men that have clearly been low value man for a ton of other reasons but women who are disagreeing with the idea of having a cat in their home. I’m sorry but this whole discussion is trash because we all know what makes a low value man. It is in our handb…

Sorry but no this is a bad take. If there is a guy who hates all animals on principle and this translates into them being abusive towards the animal, then yes absolutely run that’s a red flag. But disliking an animal alone is not enough for it to be a red flag. People are allowed to have preferences in terms of what animal they like to have in their home. And in this thread it is obvious that a lot of you guys are huge cat lovers and see people who do not like cats as a personal affront. Some of…

To him, and many in the black community it is an accomplishment. While I despise this way of thinking, I understand it as many black people, men and women, feel like it is a godsend to have a black man who is not in jail, doesn't have baby mama's, and not homosexual as black women tend to to outnumber 'available' black men. I acknowledge that many black people live in the shadow of the stereotypes of african americans being the bottom of society and feel pressure to be overachievers and successf…

I dont give two flying fucks what a man thinks about how I dress, I dress for myself in that I wear the clothes that make me FEEL beautiful and confident. My wardrobe is varied sometimes I like to wear sexy elegant clothes, sometimes I like to wear modest clothes. The type of men who aggressively only go after women who dress a certain type of way are not on my radar so I don't spend my valuable brain power trying to decipher the motives behind those pheasants and their pickmeishas. The HVM I am…

Starter comment. This guy bragged on Twitter back in February about how he is the prize now because he is a straight black male who has a degree and no baby momma drama. He is now getting flamed as he just posted a few days ago that he did not in fact pass his bar exam. Twitter hilarity ensues. As a black women in medical school I have encountered this same attitude from my black male classmates and it is baffling to say the least. I don’t think you were trying to shit on other black women truly I don’t. I also agree with you that that stereotype does exist in our community, I just took issue with you making the statement that black women were dressing like that as a way to get attention because I feel like that’s not necessarily true either. I don’t think we can truly know why a man is being low effort towards a woman. It could be because of his religious views on all women in general, it could be because his father repea…

Im sorry but this whole post screams l’m not like other girls’. I completely understand about the natural hair aspect as I’m a black woman as well, but first of all why would you want to date somebody who thinks that you wearing your natural hair is inherently low maintenance and being lazy. Natural hair is gorgeous and beautiful and while you may not think that other people can see it there are plenty of people who do and those are the people you want to date. Second of all I promise you a man …

I am a black woman so I understand the dynamic perfectly well. However I think that OP is using this dynamic as a way to posit herself as ‘not like other girls’ As her excuse as to why men don’t give her the attention that she wants while black women are aggressively pursuing that attention by the way did they dress. This is inherently harmful because one it is also a stereotype that black women are dressing that way to get male attention. It is more nuanced than that. I’m an educated black woma…

Can you pleas explain the comment on ‘black women especially’ feeling like they have to dress a certain type of way to receive attention?

That’s generally how I feel I don’t have an income requirement per say in that I have no issue dating another profession, it’s just that they get so weird when I mention I’m gonna be a doctor and then either go on a long rant about their salary or outright try to prove how good their career is but in an off putting way

If they are residents then they’re not making more than $60,000 give or take depending on the region. It’s not until after residency where you see the $$$$, which can be up to 8 years after medical school depending on the specialty. Also realistically speaking even though I will be making that much gross wise, After taxes and student loan payments I’ll probably only be working with a quarter of that lol. I’ve dated some doctors and it’s nice cause where I live there are a lot of black doctors ca…

I read it before knowing about FDS and it was spot on. All of his material is golden honestly

Can everyone please go to his website farfrombasyc.com and read all his articles. This man has been spitting FDS facts for more than half a decade and I have been following his stuff faithfully. That’s why I was so drawn to this subreddit as it had a similar ring to what he calls ‘Being a spartan’. This man tells it like it is point blank period!

I can honestly say as a black woman many of us were raised to explicitly date black men. We were given warnings about not being loved/treated well by white men and their families which the family part being often true sometimes. I say this as a woman who dated a white man for 5 years whose family adored me, but I was understandably nervous before I learned that. That is only one reason why we have been conditioned to think that.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
