I don't think it's the anger phase talking, though. My description above just acknowledges the extreme dangers of buying into the blue pill version of the world. Lions are nice to look at, but they are inherently dangerous and unpredictable, so beware of getting mauled. You can acknowledge all that with no trace of anger - it is just their nature. I'm just wondering, is it unreasonable for us to lament that Cecil the lion can't pair-bond with us humans, when we TRP humans equally can't trust Cec…

The point isn't to cherry pick the few exceptions where NAWALT. It's not to expect she will stay with you. If you expect and prepare for the worst of human behavior, you can only be positively surprised. This is the last line in the OP: I'm not saying that she will leave you when you get sick, because some women stick to their men, but you won't know for sure until it happens. Be prepared. Don't let yourself be blindsided like Broken Hearted Boy.

I've noticed that most of these questions fall into one of two categories: her trying to attach a label to you, and her making a statement about herself (usually for LMR). For the first type of question, you can play around with time frames/segments, and for the second type of question, you can parallel/reverse it on her. This way, instead of trying to remember a "best" answer for each question, you can easily pull out either type of stock answer. I personally find it easier. By the way, I take …

Before I found TRP and threw the soulmate concept out the window, I had this handy trick that may help you get over "soulmate rejections." If you were your "real self" and she wasn't as enthusiastic about you as you were about her, then she couldn't have been a soulmate. By definition, a true soulmate would be just as crazy about you. The "click" has to be felt on both ends for it to count as soulmate. So, no double sided "click" = not a soulmate anyway = no big loss to you. Not worth agonizing …

Has anyone had experiences with women who are at the low end of the social validation-seeking scale? Keeping AWALT in mind and all that, were such women, on the margin, better or worse than those who heavily sought social validation? Better or worse in terms of the degree of typical womyn behavior they pulled.

Your explanation actually fits nicely into OP's statistical framework. If you have no other information except women's actions, the only thing you can do is plot them on a one-dimensional line, which gives you a standard bell curve. The outliers on this bell curve are interpreted by OP as "a handful of women are not like that but AWALT still generally applies." But if you incorporate the information about circumstantial factors that increase the cost of hypergamy, alongside the observed behavior…

Many will drop off over time and revert back to beta when meeting a chick 2 notches above their previous best. Exactly. I ran some RP-ish techniques on this girl and they worked like a charm. (I can't call myself RP yet, as you'll see later, but faking it for now.) Was surprised because she was significantly above my previous best, as you said. That, coupled with the fact that she seemed sane enough, made me lapse into trying to form a meaningful relationship with her (based on, you guessed it, …

Like the general idea but seems unfeasible. Low n-counts, in this day and age in the US, usually go with her being unattractive. Highly educated people are also more likely to value their careers and other non-kid stuff. Trying to find a woman in the US at the intersection of these 4 attributes (attractive, low n, highly educated, values kids over career)? Good luck

Do you think someone who lives as you've described can only make a relationship work if their partner is identical (financially independent, has their own goals, enjoys solitude, cares not a whit for what society thinks)? Or do you really believe there does not exist one sensible girl, as you put it, with whom you could make such a partnership work? In my view the main obstacle to such a lifestyle is the girl's need to compare and one-up her friends/peers, but if people who disdain that entire c…

My takeaway from that top comment was: "you can't stop them so make sure you source your self esteem somewhere else".

Even though I found TRP and learned that AWALT a while back, it was this comment that made the "why" click into place. Why do women have a vested interest in propagating the soulmate myth? Because they need to believe that they are special and unique, and that by extension, all other women are special and unique in their own way. It's a very human failure of thinking, and a cornerstone of how we derive our identity, the idea that we are each unique (men are equally susceptible). But empirically …

This explains why most women will find the concept of AWALT utterly revolting and stomach-turning.

To be honest, I don't quite know that there is a dominant anti-Trump strategy here. A lot of the suggestions in this thread are very plausible but I can see Trump side-stepping them anyway. The Sun Tzu quote from u/theultmatecad abstracts a lot of the specific suggestions and makes a lot of sense, but I think it's still imperfect. The contradiction is that being RP involves not really giving a fuck about what others think and just doing your own thing, but in a political competition (and in some…

I believe most of those tactics (attacking his company bankruptcies and Democratic leanings) have already been tried, but each time he masterfully deflects/shrugs them off in true RP style.

I think what he has done on immigration is a great example of creating/holding frame and making his competitors step into his frame. In this situation it seems like there is huge first mover advantage/momentum to the immigration frame Trump has created. I don't know if trying to create a separate/tangential frame and convincing people to step into yours will be that effective of a response. The challenge here is how to respond to someone who plays the RP game almost perfectly, once you have fall…

The lesson this woman will take away is: the next time you find an alpha that you want to LTR, lie about your history. For the top 20% of males that are able to be picky about a potential LTR woman's history, I wonder how many of those women truly have a low n, and how many have successfully hoodwinked their alpha (like this woman undoubtedly will try to do going forward).

"The nature of promises, Linda, is that they remain immune to changing circumstances." -Frank Underwood, House of Cards That quote just takes on a whole new meaning when seen through RP lenses.

While all this may be true, it doesn't seem very helpful because your face is about the one thing you can't change

I was referring to the first 3 or so articles from the theory sidebar on the main TRP sub. They basically implied that men want to find a woman he can feel safe and vulnerable with (i.e. replicating the maternal unconditional love), that men are the true romantics, that they wouldn't WANT to cheat. Whereas women are opportunistic, hypergamous etc. So it's much more than an accessibility issue that the theory implies.

But the argument is that men and women have evolved psychologically different approaches (even different definitions) of love, hence the phrase AWALT. It implies a biological difference that is independent of the power dynamic.
