There was nothing wrong with how you reacted so stop beating yourself up about it. It would be weird if you didn’t react like that (as if - you expected him to give ridiculous answers to an interview? No that’s worse).

You can buy a teeth whitening kit with whitening strips (I got mine from Colgate). I used one and it made my teeth white enough and they stayed pretty white (with proper brushing) for 7 years now.

I have wavy/curly hair, so I brush my hair with a wet brush only when I’m in the shower. I use a sulfate free shampoo by L’Oréal and it’s been really nice, since it hardly dries my hair. I use whatever nice conditioner I have on hand. When I get out of the shower and dry my hair with a microfiber tower I apply some argan oil. I have a lot of hair so I put kind of a lot (like 12 drops). This makes my hair much more manageable when it dries. Basically sulfate free shampoo + using argan oil have be…

You made yourself sound boring in this post, but I looked through your posting history and you sound pretty cool. I think you just need to be more confident. (Well of course you should always learn new stuff and evolve but other people already suggested some good ways to do that ☺️)

It's a little hard for me to separate what my family thinks is best from what I think because I am pretty similar to my parents. Yeah my parents pay for my degree and since I already spent 2 years studying I might as well finish it I suppose. > Is it possible to set some money aside and pay for the medical costs of kids out of hand instead? I think it's possible. I should look into it more. > You could get pregnant while finishing up your education, and your husband (do you have one??) cover the…

I'm not married yet but I have a bf/partner and we do plan to get married. I also had this same plan lol but I guess life doesn't work that way. Thank you for the comment :)

Damn I'm happy for you! :) I guess part of my anxiety comes from being around people who get married and have kids young. My mom had me at 21. But it's true that a lot of people have kids later in life.

I had a kind of similar plan when I was 19 but that was because I never knew love from a man and was very insecure so my depressed and pessimistic brain couldn't imagine a future where I could have a loving family and not care about giving birth and the implications for my body. You definitely have to take care of mental illness before you have a child. By the way 21 is very young and most people I know haven't accomplished much by that age either. But realize that life is very long and no one c…

First of all, I think you should delete the dating apps... Not because of what you said about your appearance but because you are insecure and most people on there are not caring and will probably damage a girl's self esteem. I have your same body type and it has its advantages. :) A lot of guys like wide hips/slender waist and lifting weights your butt probably also looks good. :D Don't worry about it. If you are so insecure about your hair, you could try wearing a good quality wig while your h…

Is this the first time you will be meeting him irl? It's completely okay to be nervous. I felt very nervous the first day I met my LDR boyfriend (after a year of talking) but got comfortable after a couple of days. I don't believe that any displays of affection would be appropriate, even when I'm not in the presence of his family, as I feel like I would be disrespecting his home or giving a bad impression. You are adults, so I don't think it will be disrespectful to his family but that depends o…

I think it's important to take care of your looks but also I don't think you should stress so much about aging. My grandma will be 80 years old this year. She and her friends go out dancing 2-3 times a week, it's a 60+ kind of event. She likes sewing her own outfits, planning her makeup, which looks fun. She tells me about the men (their age, of course) flirting with her and her friends, and all the drama they have... It made me realize that life isn't over when you're older/old. It is important…

Thanks for understanding. :) He apologized for not doing something for my birthday, I think I just need to say directly what I want. I'll practice that for things like going out.

I agree with you that birthdays are important (it is how I was raised and I think it's good to have a day where you know you're gonna get spoiled). The thing with my boyfriend though is that his family doesn't celebrate birthdays and he was never given birthday gifts. The first time I gave him a birthday present and card he said it was the only time he ever got something. Therefore I understand that for him it is difficult to understand the importance of birthdays. So I agree with MetalDevils th…

I found that vitex helped with my PMS Sounds interesting, I'll check it out. I don't have an irregular period but I do have huge PMS. :( I'm sorry to hear about your experience, I see how experiences like this from childhood can shape our adult behavior. Thank you so much for the encouraging words. <3 <3

Yeah, I agree with you. It is not good and it puts a lot of pressure on my bf... I have a few friends, but I need to make more close friends in my area. My hobby is lifting but I kind of ditched it lately. You're really right and I have a lot to work on.

Yes, you are right. I felt awkward so I talked... should have STFU. Yesterday he asked if he could sleep at my place because his roommate brought his gf and he wanted to give them space. I said yes. He was still being pretty distant though. He also asked me why I love him which was a little scary(?). We didn't really talk much and went to sleep. In the morning it was a little better, I took care of him sexually (which he initiated) and then he left. Today I won't repeat the same mistake and won'…

Update: I went to study in the library and went to my bf, he was studying with his friends (we are in uni). I gave him a grilled cheese sandwich and a snack (this wasn't a big gesture, just what I can give him right now). He looked like he doesn't want to talk to me but he said thank you. I told him a little about how I feel about how I acted and went to study. He looked mostly disappointed/sad with me. I will try to focus on studying for the rest of the day...

I think I just got used to it because my friends and family always give me something for my birthday. But after the fight I realized how stupid it is to bitch because of not doing something special. Yes, it is hard for him. He tried to write me a card once (not birthday) and it took him an entire day and he said he diesn't know how to do those things. I was definitely acting entitled especially knowing he doesn't like those things... It is not a deal breaker to me. He treats me really well all d…

Yes. I have trouble controlling my emotions and they hit me like a truck. I really like your suggestion. Having a plan and sticking to it would have prevented me from hamstering so much. The moment I let myself do nothing my head starts making up stupid things and blowing worries out of proportion. I want to forgive myself but I feel really stupid. I also feel stupid for talking with my friend, who is a good girl but has no idea about relationships, and confiding in her with this. She said "yes,…

Yes, definitely, I missed my family and how they would always make me feel special on my birthday. His family doesn't celebrate birthdays much and he never had his birthday celebrated. He doesn't think it is something important. Thank you. Will do if he will speak to me again.

I wanted to talk to him this morning, but I decided to go to the gym instead (already went, it is morning here) and now I'm gonna buy myself some nice shoes for my birthday (which I was supposed to do the day before yesterday instead of wallowing in self pity)... I know he needs slippers so I will look for them too. When I get home I will make a plan and a schedule like some of you suggested. ❤️ He is the kind of person who doesn't like talking about fights we had, so I hope he will find it in h…

I don't reflect on my emotions consistenly, no. I really need to stick to that. I track my period, yesterday was my ovulation. I thought negative emotions were caused by pms though, not sure. I am happy that you were able to deal with it. I would really love to achieve that state. Thank you for the links! I will go over them when I'm on my computer.

First of all, thank you for your positive comment. It made me feel better. He is not talking to me right now. Would it still be in place to make a gesture? Should i try and talk to him tomorrow first? I like your idea of cooking for him. I will think of what I can make. 😊 He really likes when I give him a massage so that's a really good idea. I'm just not sure he will let me touch him if he is upset.

regarding your shyness. i think it really helps to just accept it. i don't mean say "ok i'm shy so i'll never go out of my comfort zone". i mean accept it as a part of you, because you can't magically just suddenly "unshy". so for example if you want to talk to someone but you are shy, say to yourself "yes, i am shy, but it doesn't mean i can't talk to them". that way you don't need to pretend to be someone you're not when you talk to someone, and it takes some of the pressure off. shy people ca…

I think that you should go. Your family and brother will be really hurt if you don't go. That's all the reasoning you need. I really don't think taking a week (?) out of your summer vacation will harm you in any way. You can study on the trip. I can understand your emotions, but yes your behavior is unreasonable. You should have honestly not said anything, just sucked it up and went. It's your family, they love you. Some people have bad families that abuse them in which case they don't owe them …

If you have little attention from men, chasing them will not help. Even if you get someone it will probably be just for sex. :/ How is your body language? Guys your age will usually not approach you if you look way too closed off because it looks like you will reject them.

this. I feel like your life with this particular guy can be very stressful. Are you sure it is worth it? You are 25, you are still young, if this isn't working, this is the time to look for someone more "stable" who is not around young girls who hit on him 24/7. I know if I was in your situation I would feel anxious every day. :(

I agree, this is what I don't like, is that it makes me feel pretty ragey. Like with the car situation I felt like I wanted to cuss him out and ask why is he picking on me. I really need to take it easier. Thank you. :)

It's okay if they look from far away or something, I just didn't like that he came up to me really close and just stood there looking. But it's true, one thing I learned from red pill is not to get upset when guys are staring. And to be honest I also stare sometimes I just don't make it obvious to not make them uncomfortable...

men who are not gentlemen do not deserve RPW treatment because they are not acting dignified themselves. That's a really good point, I will think of it this way.

You are right they are being rude so I should say something. I will definitely do it next time someone bothers me at the gym. Sometimes I just feel like they don't mean to be creeps and they just have no manners or social awareness or something, but maybe that's naive.

The guy with the car was at my university, he saw me while I was walking to the dorms. So yes, thinking back it was creepy. I'd stop and ask him if he needs help with something. I'm the kind of person who would simply say "please don't stare at me while I'm trying to workout, it makes me feel like someone watching me clean my nose of boogers" (or something more disgusting, depending on my mood), and this usually works. I'm not sure how to advice someone who is shy, tho. I think that's what I nee…

I watched the first and second episodes. I was expecting this to show women's progress and show how it improved their relationship, but the first episode is a woman who's husband still has a mistress (and she surrended 2 years ago!) and the second one's husband doesn't know if he wants her back. It just made me sad and I don't know man...

It sounds very disrespectful to me. I don't know what the red pill stance on it is but I don't think bonding with another female like that can be good for a relationship. It would make me feel really bad.

To be honest I had low expectations from people even before I read red pill, and trying to better myself actually allowed me to appreciate more people who act with kindness. For example I study with a girl who's married and she was talking about how she's not going to go to a wedding of her friend because her husband wasn't invited and she doesn't want to spend her only free day without him (we study pretty much all day everyday - computer science). It made me really appreciate her for caring ab…

My boyfriend comes from a background where he had to deal with mentally ill family members. But he learned to deal with it, and I am just bringing him down all the time. For sure, I always feel like some people I can't connect with because of what you said of them being "normal". I've been to a therapist, and tried anti depressants but they were really bad for me. So I want to stick with meditation and good nutrition and exercise before I go back to something like that. I'm sorry that my post ma…

He did give me one last chance but I don't have so much confidence in this. I just want to solve my problem and not be so miserable. I have lots of anxiety since I was little. But there are ways to deal with it and I'm not doing them. 😥 It is my fault.

Meditation is really good. It's really hard for me to sit down and do it but I'll have to find a way. The journaling is also a really good advice. Thank you. 😊 I have one, but haven't written there for a while. It's like something I don't feel like doing but really need to. I'm not on the pill, exactly because of the reason you mentioned. I am better off it than on it, but unfortunately not 100%. It is true that I can't run away from feeling bad. And to be honest every time I felt really really …

I understand how it is stressful for him. He said he doesn't want to worry about me on top of all the other worries he has. We made up (after I scheduled a private lesson to help me with a subject I'm bad at, and promising him to work on myself). I think he wants to have some time off from me and I shouldn't bother him too much right now.

Based on his behavior (exposed himself to you without any prior communication/knowing you're inexperienced) he sounds very immature. It doesn't sound like you've made a mistake breaking up with him. He didn't say anything about it. I will follow your advice and make sure to be warmer to them, because sometimes people feel like I am stand-offish if I don't talk. Asking them questions is a good suggestion. I can ask them about studies easily, since we're in uni together. Thanks! :)

I'm 22. XD I feel like I learned a little bit through social jobs and uni, but I'm still usually the most shy person in the room. I think you are right in that it's probably not a disaster if I don't talk a lot. And the more I stress the worse it is. I guess people don't care as much as I think.

I am pro marriage. I feel like it is something "official enough" to hold people together. It is much more complicated to divorce that break up, so I think it makes people better with compromises and thinking actually hard before breaking the relationship off. I know I've made the mistake in the past of breaking up with someone I love over something that wasn't worth it, where if I just took the time to think about the problem and how to solve it, we would be fine. That being said, I think it's i…
