When I was teaching, I shared a classroom with a very attractive male teacher. His students were 9th graders, and he'd recently been teaching 7th graders at a different school. The rate my teachers posts about him were heavily tilted towards young girls talking about how hot he was. He was a stand up and self-aware dude who had no interest in fucking middle or high school girls, so it worked out. But, boys aren't the only ones who get hot for teacher.

I guess diversity means black Given that their workforce was 2% Black in 2016, yes. If their workforce contained only a small sliver of White people, then there would be a solid argument for targeting potential White employees under their diversity program.

Glad to hear that you've gotten help. Stopping the cycle of abuse is really fucking hard. Your therapist may already have you doing this, but if not, I'd recommend adding mindfulness meditation into your routine. It's helped me a ton with my temper, because I'm more aware of my physiological responses to things and can kind of take a step sideways and focus on calming my body (which helps calm my mind). Best of luck to you, cheers!

Getting in shape, dressing better, being forward While these are things that TRP recommends, they aren't really things that I would consider as being "TRP things." By that, I mean that they are pretty common recommendations to someone looking to improve their dating success are not part of what I would think of as making TRP different from any other approach to dating.

I've never thought about it that way, but that actually makes a ton of sense. I would add that I think that a big part of why we're seen as being so much more emotional than men, stereotypically, is related to that: we're socialized to express our emotions whereas men are not. I have typically found, though, that the men with whom I have been involved are both more emotionally reactive and emotionally needy within the relationship than I am, but I am kind of a robot, so....

When I first got into gender dynamics, I read purely redpill stuff and took it all to be true with little convincing. And boy, did I just feel angry. And suddenly, it occurs to me that TRP is the Fox News of gender relations. http://www.reactiongifs.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/mind_blown.gif

How did I end up in a corner of reddit where someone named CrackheadHamster is the voice of reason?

I think he was referring to one's physical safety. Rarely will a man find himself in the position where a partner of the opposite sex would be physically strong enough to overpower him. I could be wildly misreading that line, of course, but that is what I took OP to be saying.

Yeah... he was kind of special. We honestly all thought that he was pretending to have such unrealistic expectations because he was gay and just afraid of coming out (like, to the point that some of the guys in our group actually took him out on a guys night one night and were like, "Dude, really, it's okay. Nobody is going to shun you. Nobody is going to give two shits, really." I've heard it was an awkward night). He eventually grew up, started taking care of himself, and found a nice girl in …

Hah! No, definitely not skinny. Just proportionally small-waisted (i.e., whr of less than .7). And yeah, people who work hard to stay fit who find other people who work hard to stay fit more attractive? Hardly an unreasonable preference. Now, a buddy of mine who was a pasty potato but only went after girls with a 23" or smaller waist b/c anything bigger than that was "gross?" Yeah... we all gave him some shit for that.

As other commenters have said, it probably has a lot to do with insecurity on the part of the people making those comments. And, he is also probably being (from the sound of things, unfairly) lumped in with the guys who expect women to put in a ton of effort to maintain a slim figure while not being willing to put forth any effort into self-maintenance. The women who give you shit about your figure, though? Fuck 'em. They may well be envious (as someone whose general shape trends toward looking …

Dude... ...dude. Nobody should have to accept a "steady stream of low-level abuse" in their relationship as the status quo. Mature and loving relationships should be predicated on building each other up, not tearing each other down.

"10 men to have sex with before you marry" articles are common, but people who frequent TBP are unlikely to be their target audience.

More recent studies have implicated a likely link between older men and fertility/birth/development issues as well, although the area of study is still fairly underdeveloped and not yet conclusive. Overall, it looks like you guys have more time before the shit hits the fan in terms of fecundity, but not all that much more.

I'm sure some would, just like some people see OP's relationship as normal. However, if any of the women in my social circle were to start dating an 18 year-old, there would be some heavy "wtf do you think you are doing; you are old enough to be his mother; he's still basically a child" judgement and/or shunning going on.

Tough call, since if I were a man there would have been major differences in how I was socialized and in my life experience. But, if I were to just wake up tomorrow with XY chromosomes instead? I am pretty germaphobic (MrPantzen holds the distinction of being the only person I have ever been so into that I could make out with them w/o getting at least partially grossed out by the bodily functions behind it), so I would prefer to just go home and jerk it than pick someone up for a one night thing…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
