That's the key, go go go! Maybe I'm in a special category because the social network I'm talking about is the Burningman Community. They're world-wide freaks, usually good looking, usually young and affluent, and always creative. If you haven't gone to the festival and it could be your cup of tea I highly recommend giving it a run for its money.

Extra credit for managing habits. The more cruft we let attach to our lives, the tv shows we have to watch, the movies we have to see, the games we have to play, the less time we have for things that really matter: people, ourselves and other.

The #1 thing that helped me hook up is to have a healthy and constantly growing network. For me bars and websites are dead ends. Not counting my sporadic list of hookups in foreign countries my last half dozen longish term relationships have come from my social network. I'm not talking about Facefriendbookspace. I'm talking about groups of people that meet frequently to do something in a shared enthusiasm.

Hetero Guy, 35 y/o, here. What works for me is if a woman points and me, looks me in the eye and says "I want you." A woman that says what she wants usually gets what she wants, at least in my book. No need to, ahem, beat around the bush. You laugh, but it's happened several times. Each time with a rousing success.
