Still nothing was as hard as letting go of my beliefs. I was so utterly unhappy and lonely, disgusted by my “liberal” friends for their lifestyles and the way they handled relationships… felt sorry for myself endlessly (think victim-mentality) and suffered severely from the cognitive dissonance of wanting a strong and good man with great morals and loyal - but I HATED men.
