They're not interested (enough), right now. I let those conversations die but don't unmatch. Sometimes they reinitiate a few days later. If not, I might send a message like 2 weeks later and if nothing happens from that, unmatch.

Sometimes, 'no' just means 'not yet.'

If she cheats, shame on her. If he takes her back, shame on him.

Advising people to have some integrity is now 'virtue signalling.' Leading girls on is now 'alpha behavior.' We'll have to agree to disagree.

Drop 'em, sure. But do it with your dignity intact. "Quietly demoting back to plate" is untruthful, slimy, manipulative behaviour. It comes from a place of insecurity because you're afraid that if you're honest and up front, you're going to enter a long dry spell. Also, "an eye for an eye" eventually leaves the whole world blind.

I have experienced a very different reason for blocking exes than other replies are saying. In principle I agree with you; immediately blocking an ex and generally just abrubtly cutting all contact comes across as childish butthurt vindictiveness. So about 3 years ago I ended a 1 year, committed LTR. It was the relationship where I first started applying TRP and I managed to uphold a decently strong frame for the most part. As I ended it I calmly explained my reasons, answered her questions, gav…

No. "Pushing her away" vs. "pulling her back in."

You probably want to communicate something like "Eventually I hope to find someone to grow old with but I'm not in a hurry, and meanwhile I'm open to new experiences." But reword it in a more cocky and funny way... Would love to hear some suggestions for this.

This guy may be a troll in general but I'm interested in some suggestions, too.

This has potential but definitely needs some improvement. The sound quality is just terrible. Maybe it's because I'm not a native english speaker but I couldn't follow IM's story about his psychopath friend at all. Something about it being a cold New Year's eve and the friend stole something but I couldn't understand what, exactly. Turned it off at that point.

Ok yeah that sounds like enough reason to permanently shut the door, but even in this case it would be more satisfactory to eventually have them come crawling back groveling, and then throw "remember when you said X and Y about my parents?" in their face. Only a very tiny chance of that ever happening, but I'd still go for that. That might just be me though.

Not putting up with their bullshit is indeed the right thing to do, though I'm not sure if calling them out on it, and burning any (current or future) bridges in the process was the best way to do it. Soft nexting them, creating a little distance by not engaging in the groupchats unless being spoken to directly, but still indirectly letting them know how much your life is improving (for example by facebook status updates) might have turned things around. When they see you start dating cute girls…

You already know. Start regaining some self respect by kicking her to the curb, then sit down and take a long hard look at yourself and figure out where and why things went wrong. No contact, she no longer exists in your world.

do the social 30 day challenges What are these? I googled and got lots of results, but nothing that seemed even tangentially related to TRP. Got a link?

Ignore the couple of try-hard comments doing their best to sound cool on the interwebs, this was a helpful post for the kind of guy that is the typical shut-in that I was, and a good reminder for me and others for whom it still requires conscious effort to do this.

To stop smoking weed seems a lot more daunting than it actually is. You'll lie awake for 1-2 nights and sleep terribly for about a week, week and a half. After that, the quality of your sleep will skyrocket and you'll start having really vivid dreams like you had as a child, it's amazing. Just make sure to stick to a proper 8-9 hour sleeping schedule lying awake schedule for the first week until your body adapts and starts following that schedule automatically.

Those few seconds where he hesitates putting the key in to the lock... The things going through his mind at that point, his daughter, the impending divorce, where he was going to sleep that night, how the guy would react. All done and dealt with the moment he slid the key in. Well played.

The fear of rejection is one my biggest fears, any ideas to overcome them? By getting rejected. It really isn't that big of a deal. "I see. Well, enjoy the rest of your day/night/weekend!" And walk away head held high. Being able to take a rejection in a graceful way is actually a demonstration of high value and could, at least in theory, increase their attraction towards you.

I like watching chick flicks with girls because I'm not interested or curious about the movie at all, so I can focus on escalating kino. If I'm not horny or it just isn't the time or place, I try to enjoy myself by ridiculing events in the movie ("Oh he's serenading her? Yeah I'm sure that works in real life too...")

Lots of guys on this sub feel the need to appear like a tough guy on the internet for some reason. Just laugh them away like the silly children they are.

What's wrong with a long term fwb? Not trying to be argumentative, I just managed to set up my first ever fwb a few weeks ago and so far I'm enjoying it, so logically I want to drag this out for as long as possible. To be honest I can see the first cracks appearing, she's trying to get me to do "couple-y" stuff with her but I've dodged that so far. Assuming I can keep dodging, what's wrong with keeping this arrangement going for as long as possible?

The positive outcome is that I had a date off Tinder last night, was great fun but didn't seal the deal however as we speak I'm getting nudes, apologies for being a prude and questions about what I'm doing saturday. My physical SMV is low, but TRP combined with the experience of growing up with a little sister has made me understand a little bit about how to talk to women in an easy going, fun but dominant way. With some women that's all you need... I'll admit she's no 10/10 but she has a nice b…

This is probably the only situation where being a former teenage incel beta kinda works in my favor. When you're not getting any action (and think that you don't deserve it either) you throw yourself into other hobbies. For me that was computers. A lot of gaming, etc, but I also taught myself how to code. Now, decades later, I'm turning things around when it comes with women and tinder makes it almost too easy. I wrote a bot that just swipes right on everything, send an opener when there's a mat…

Hung around a bit on several TPR related IRC channels a few days ago. It's mostly people talking about how much they agree with each other. Then I had to leave my PC for a bit and when I got back I was kicked. Oh well.

No shit testing or comfort testing of any kind means she has already mentally checked out of the relationship.

I'm very curious about this too... Takes a lot of balls to offer a hookup to your beta bucks boyfriend's brother. I wonder how she thinks she can get away with that.

Don't put energy into ignoring her. Put energy into interacting and paying attention to other people. The ignoring her will come automatically.

The "k" would imply at least a little butthurtedness, I think. "Good idea" or "I agree" seems better to me. Or go full Machiavellian: "I'm glad you said it first."

She: "I just don't get it! I wish he would be a grown up. But then again if he were we might not be divorced. ;) " I interpret that as if she meant "I'm actually kind of glad that he's not a grown up because we wouldn't be divorced and I wouldn't have met you." Which isn't a bad thing at all. But maybe I'm reading it wrong.

I guess that would be the typical "badboy" costumes. Prisoner, biker, etc. If you're a top 5% guy, you could take it to the opposite extreme for laughs. Imagine a super swole hulk looking dude in a ballet dress, or skirt or whatever it's called.

Before the first actual date, while flirting with her, busting each others balls, etc., I playfully tell her she's being mean but she can make it up to me by buying the first drinks. Great way to bring up the subject of a date.

As someone who only recently swallowed the pill, the first response that comes to me is something like "You have to be prepared to go all the way before you're allowed to tease me." I'm not sure if that would play out better than what you did, though. So I'm curious how more experienced RPers would handle it.
