Fully aware - my point is soldiers only need to follow the orders they’re given. Stripping them of their identity is treating them as though they’re not human.

That’s not true. Soldiers do get to be themselves whenever they’re not actively being told to do something. Do you think they’re robots?

Where did I say that at all? Soldiers are individuals so, being able to be the person you identify as doesn’t mean doing whatever you want while serving.

I don’t agree but I also don’t believe that’s related. Treating soldiers the same as prisoners shouldn’t be okay.

Soldiers aren’t prisoners. They’re not meant to be stripped of all sense of individuality/identity.

Not only women are raped though. Many children and men choose to not come forward due to social pressure.

A lot of feminists actually push for recognition of gender related issues that men face though

Regardless of your opinion on non binary people, they/them is a pronoun. The dude answered the question but because it reminded y’all of non binary people you got upset and downvoted him lmao. Stop being snowflakes

Getting downvoted for answering a question correctly is the pinnacle of this sub

Totally undermines the emotional weight carers have to carry. Realistically we should just leave it as both are extremely under appreciated jobs filled with extremely hard working individuals.

The issue is shown in posts like this imo. Yes the wage gap is because of differences in career choice but what the poster should be saying is that women can get those jobs too. Instead her point feels like “respect men as they work harder”. Whether we like it or not, there are still underlying social norms encouraging women to go for certain jobs and men to go for others.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
