After 25 years together, my ex was talking with another guy within days. The group of men on r/Divorce_Men are life savers and some of the best dudes on this planet. In all seriousness, finding this group on reddit probably helped to save my life. The first year was tough and I wouldn't wish the pain that I went through on any other human. Looking back in retrospect, its probably the best thing that could have happened to me. Its coming up on two years since the two of us separated but I find my…

I'm an average looking guy and only about 5'8, who knew that I would be twice as popular at 50 and divorced than I was at 25 and single. I have over 100 matches on various dating apps and could date a new woman every night if I wanted to. It really depends on what you are looking for. I became quite a man-whore at first, I used sex as a crutch to help mend the part of my heart that was broken. I have always been careful and have been able to avoid std's so far. Many women at this age are just ho…

I'm sorry to read this brother but your marriage is over and she has already mentally left, she just doesn't have the guts to tell you. Please take the advise from the guys on this thread. We have all literally been through it. It sucks a big one. Many of us on this page were in denial just like you. Many of us thought that it would never happen to us. The guys on this thread are literally life savers. It really scares me to think of how much worse off that I would have been if I had not found r…

r/Divorce_Men = Greatest group of dudes on the planet. You beautiful bastards are life savers!! I'm so thankful that I found this thread last year when my 25yr marriage fell apart. Since, I have been single and dating, its amazing how many women that I have met that are walking away from their marriages and literally give zero fucks. I make is a mission to try and bang them and then never call them again. Is that petty? I hope so!!

Imagine her doing all of the things that drive you crazy. Imagine her in every position, taking it from every angle. Imagine every disgusting thought that your heart and mind can conjure up. I read this once in a thread as I was going through a very similar situation when my ex and I were first separating. I know this sounds weird but it helped. It was like, after I tried thinking of all of the ways that it would hurt me, my mind got tired and numb the the various scenarios and actually just sta…

25 years for me my friend. The funny thing is, our agreement at first was no child support and then she went full nuclear. The way that she acted was completely uncalled for. When child support was brought up, I told her that I was actually paying her more than she would get from child support. Her reply was that she didn't want to have to contact me every time she needed something. I said you don't need to just tell our 16 year old daughter to tell me what she needs. My daughter has a checking …

Marriage should be illegal with the results its producing in todays market. Its old and antiquated and extremely outdated. That being stated, the reason that I will never marry again is because of marriage #1.

Yes - My child support is garnished by the state.

I remember those feelings, I remember that pain, I remember the horrifying quiet and how alone I felt. I remember how much shame that I felt and somewhat still feel for not being able to keep my family together. Its been over a year now and divorce was just finalized two weeks ago. I would love to be able to tell you that I am better and completely healed but that my friend would be a lie. On a positive note, the pain is more isolated now. The quiet time is less haunting than it was at first, in…

Men sacrifice their happiness for the sake of family. Women sacrifice their family for the sake of happiness!!

This was a subject that I just came across yesterday. It's covers exactly what we are talking about. Interesting all of the people that chimed in about Male Isolation. It's tough out there for our species right now!! link: Starting about 4 comments down, check out all of the comments on male isolation. https://www.reddit.com/r/AskMen/comments/19ashr5/what\_do\_you\_believe\_is\_the\_most\_significant/ Somebody on the thread posted this you tube video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQqBh3q9sHY

Get ready to embrace the stress and pain my friend. Nothing will ever be more heart wrenching. I have buried best friends with less tears!! I hope that time will help to heal this wound but I'm only 6 months in.

After 25 years- I couldn't put into words my feelings on the subject much better or more eloquently. The pain at some points in unbearable!! I'm not for sure if I will ever understand. It's like I was married to a complete Sociopath!!

What's crazy is none of the people on the this thread had ever heard of this shit until it happens to them. How are we not more aware of this as a male species? I feel like giving seminars to boys in college. If the goal is to accumulate wealth. Then don't get fucking married!! Step Fucking 1.

25 years together - married for 23 years....Same exact story!! Like an idiot, I keep thinking that there is a way to rationalize with the woman that used to resemble my wife. The guys on reddit are completely correct, these efforts are completely futile. She has left the reservation and the woman that is left does not like you!!

Hey man, I was with my wife 25 years, she started screwing some loser with 7 kids and no real job within about 4 weeks of announcing she wanted a divorce. She's a real piece of shit!!

25 years total and 23 years married. It only took her a few weeks to start a relationship with one of our daughter's friends dad... Real classy lady!! The pain cuts like a knife. I myself have never felt pain like this. I thought that we had an overall good marriage. Very soul crushing!! Here is hoping for better days ahead.

There is no reason for a modern day man to get married. Zero!!!! Don't fucking do it, Bro!!!! After 25 years - My wife completely shit bombed our family. Moved away from all of my friends and family to start a new life in the Pacific Northwest. Great job, making great money. Bought her dream house, remodeled, added hot tub, just got things the way we want them and boom....She's not happy and can't take my shit. She filed for divorce and within two months, she is in love with one of my daughters …

Gattsama -- Thank you for this!! This is one of the best written explanations that I have ever read. Thank you for posting this, I actually printed it off here at work and somewhat passed it around, I would upvote this 1000 times if I could!!

Get Tender.... Your going to need 2 dicks!! It's amazing what it feels like when 30 different women all want a date. This may not be great advise for everyone but for me, I went from sobbing on the treadmill while working out to feeling like a man again in a very short time. All the anguish, for me seemed to go away. Hell, it even felt good talking with women that I knew were scammers. Working out helped and exercising helped but for me, realizing that I am wanted and very popular with women w…

After 25 years...Same exact shit!! We should start a shit husband club!! There are millions of us just in the united states. I'm not for sure if my ex had ever made a mistake, I know in 25 years she never said sorry one fucking time. According to her I had it coming for something that had happened in the past. Modern day women are fucking delusional!!

I feel the same way. Just bought her dream house, completely remodeled it, new paint and flooring, we still owe 15K on a hot tub that was bought 5 months back. I just paid 15K for a new 30 yr roof 2 months back and a few months back she bought a picture of a poem to hang above the fireplace that spoke about "Our Love" lol. I have read that most guys are completely blind sided when the wife walks away, I 100% fall into that category. I thought that we had a pretty good 25 years, it blows me me aw…

I know that this day is rapidly approaching for me also. I am truly not prepared to see the woman I still love with somebody else!! I get sick to my stomach to think about it...... I'm sorry that you are going though this!! I hope, like many of the others on this forum, that one day we will look back at this as a positive experience. For me right now it's hell on earth!

I feel ya bro!! After 25 years, walk away wife syndrome!! I had never even heard of this term. I guess its much more common that I ever knew. After 25 years, it's like I am living with someone that is a complete stranger or even worse borderline enemy. I am still having trouble wrapping my head around it. Together we bult an incredible life, or so I thought! She say's that there is nobody else and I actually believe this due to several reasons, but it would almost make it easier if there was.

Everyone on this thread has been awesome. Starting over myself after 25 years, I am terrified and excited at the same time. A huge thank you to all of you!! The comments and opinions expressed on this page has been more helpful than just about anything else over the last few weeks.
