9	Hmmmm..... The majority of legal definitions of rape do not require force but rather a lack of consent or inability to consent. While rape may often involve force it is not a defining feature. I have seen a few cases with a higher minimum tariff and there is a "whole life tariff". Very likely she will do 35+ years and when she does eventually get out she will spend the rest of her life on licence (parole). She had claimed it was in self-defence since 2015 but she in fact threw acid on him as he was asleep, rendering him paralyzed from the neck down We have something called a whole life tariff which means you spend the rest of your life in prison with no possibility of release(only about 50 people have been given this sentence I believe). In the UK her release will be decided by a parole board and not a judge/court. It is really hard to get released and most end up doing years more than their minimum tariff. She needs to first admit guilt, then demonstrate remorse, then complete any rehab, be of good character while inside etc. If parole is denied she will have to wait 2 years to apply again. She will spend the rest of her life on licence (I think) any infringements will land her back inside where she falls back into the 2 year parole cycle (someone with more knowledge can correct me if I am wrong).
