Thanks for you advice and energy you put in your responses. I'm not part of the community so I wouldn't know about the history you have here. I'll own my shit on my own terms and maybe I'll grow from it.

I appreciate your response and I will internalize if I am truly being defensive about it. Some of the messages came off more like an attack than real advice, but as you said it could be my ego talking.

Dude suck my dick. Do you know the conversations works? If someone says something that's irrelevant or doesn't make sense, the other person will respond to it with something that does. Get off your RP high horse. What you and every asshat who gives unsubstantial advice does is go at lengths to justify what the last RP guy said that may have worked a couple of times. The world is changing and norms are different. You can't see the forest for the trees. Literally lol.

I'm sure. At least I put my weakness out there. Must be nice to look down from your pedestal knowing everything in your life is perfect. I'm still working on mine.

Firstly, you didn't give a pinch of advice in your response so there was nothing to dismiss. It was straight dickhead criticism masking as tough love. I understand you have seen this post a million times, but you are looking at 3 variables in people who have very different complicated lives. The same prescription isn't always going to work. Also, how can you summarize my 'low investment' in my life from a couple of paragraphs? Other than this issue, my life is awesome. I have no complaints. Clea…

You're so witty. Do you convince yourself that negative feedback helps anyone?

Thanks! I plan on quitting.

I see your coming from a place of wanting to help me and I appreciate that. Generalizing it saying it's affecting me negatively without a real reason is like me telling you reddit/social media is killing your brain and affecting how you lift. You can't force a connection because you feel like it's true.

Thanks, man. Def going to take a break from it. I lost my son and I'm trying to work with my wife to get individual therapy but she's being stubborn about it. Weed was my outlet in this whole thing and it's going to be hard letting it go.

I had to read this a couple of times to fully absorb it. Your right on a lot of points. Approaching Women - I was very good at this 5 years ago and it took a lot of effort to get there. That skill may have disappeared over these years because of weed, wife, insecurities. Settle In-Frame/Being My Own Judge - This I am not. I'm starting on the sidebar and going to re-read past books. Pushing Myself Every Day - I depended on weed to get into a creative flow and I realize that. I hate the tension in…

This is solid advice. The general consensus in this thread is just stop smoking. I hate that it's so easy to make me feel better but I'll always be on the low ground of that moral superiority in any fight or conversation.

I appreciate your advice. In comparison to your friend, I don't drink and I try to focus daily on building myself up through exercise and reading (now RP books). On the other hand, I could be so addicted that it's skewing how I see things. I'm starting today to look inside and I'll take a break from weed for a while. I'm really trying to figure out if I should stick with STFU or discuss what happened with my wife.

You are using weed to cope with the fact you hate your wife? Jesus. I really hope subconsciously that's not the case.

Could be better. Lifting a plate and a quarter but moving up slowly so I don't throw my back.

Thanks. Definitely going to look inside to see what's going on. Do you think I should stick with STFU or try to reconcile this?

I really feel like I function like the new you. I just can't convince the wife otherwise. I like weed but I feel like me not being alpha about it has caused her to chip away at the desire to enjoy it. Your living the dream man.

I was always hesitant but I'll give it a shot. Thanks!

You either get another person to agree with your wife that you need to fix your shit (not helpful) or you get another person to agree with you that your wife needs to change (she will not accept this and will insist in changing counselors - and she will be resentful on top of it). Thanks for this. I've been doing it for 3 years. I feel like the purpose was to meet halfway but it's been more about me changing than anything.

Yes, It does. I don't smoke recreationally at all even with friends who do. I could understand the stoner stigma of it since it's been programmed in your mind like blue pill theory. I appreciate the rest of your advice and I will look at myself first.

I'm also a fan of the power of now. A part of me always wondered if you appreciating the present then why disrupt that by approaching a girl? All your happiness should be where you are at that point, you don't need to do anything to increase it.

Yeah I'm trying to figure out what to do on these cold and rainy days when I find every excuse not to go out.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
