OP, read this comment, it’s spot on. You are in an abusive marriage. I was in an abusive marriage. He doesn’t have to hit you for it to be abuse. I separated from my STBXH (the plan was for one month, to decide what I wanted) and within days I felt so free I knew I was never going back and I didn’t. Just waiting on the divorce to be finalized. I still have days where I cry and miss him and wish this wasn’t my life, but the overwhelming relief and peace I have without him outweighs the sad moment…

Currently vetting a mid 30s man who revealed to me yesterday he hasn’t been in a relationship longer than 6 months and has never been in love. He was significantly overweight (300+ lbs) for most of his 20s so starting dating late in life. This is the first potential red flag, but I’m not sure if it is or if it depends on why his relationships haven’t lasted (bad luck/no connection vs pornsick and unrealistic expectations of relationships.) Thoughts?

I was being bratty/not doing what he wanted during sex at the time so he broke the bedside table by swinging it into the door. It ruined the door, table was totally smashed, and my glasses were sitting on top of it, so they broke too.

My STB ex husband was all for polyamory—as long as he could pick the other men and I couldn’t do certain sex acts with them. It’s just another method of control disguised as “freedom.”

I saw this shared by a friend on Facebook as the ultimate “friend test” but it can go way further than that. So far, I can only think of women in my life that would get a double yes....and certainly none of my ex’s!

I just read that book in two days and my whole outlook on my marriage has changed. Going to find an individual therapist because I don’t trust my instincts anymore. (Gee...wonder why...)

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
