A divorced friend will tell her she is nuts and give her the phone number of her lawyer. "Promise me you'll just at least talk to him." As soon as she dials it's over.

Yes. Though I would say, "she needed a reason to hate you to justify her cheating."

Got two mushrooms for you: lions mane for neutral plasticity. A symptom of it working is noticable increase in ability to find the word you want more quickly. cubensis for PTSD.

Thank you for this level of detail. So many fascinating aspects. It also shines a light on why I should get some new shoes before dating.

You are correct. The real life comment which inspired my modified example above was uttered the night before I saw her text "I love you too!" to not me standing behind her.

She doesn't hate you because something you did; she hates you because something she is doing to you. Wow. That helps explain why she was digging up the most arcane, historic, meaningless complaints about me. "On that camping trip you insulted my brother." "Um that was a misunderstanding, we bro-ed up the next morning, and barely remember it now because it was twelve years ago."

I have not found dating apps very useful. Most of the women, even ten years younger, look like old ladies, look older than my ex. It sucks- I have to date old ladies now?? If I dip too far down in age then my female friends will be all, "what are you doing?? That will never work. You can't keep up. And She's not going to want to wipe your ass when you're both older." So they are resigning me to date only women that are as old as they are, else I'm not serious. Shit deal. I look & think young. I'…

Date anyone you like! We need practice recognizing and doing what we like anyway. The issue with age gaps only appears when you get more serious together- can you keep up with the others activity level demand, travel etc? And when you're 70, will a 40yo woman really want to hang out at home all the time, looking after you? Don't worry about that stuff right now. Date everyone. Make friends with the duds.

I got an ebike and ride it a lot as there's great trails and paths around. Maybe good for birding. I also carry a bt speaker and play it actually pretty loud, but since I'm in motion I only bother people for several seconds. With a little weed if possible it's the best I can feel these days. Always look forward to it. My puzzle is, where should I live and how do I find friends? When it was over I left the country that we lived in. It didn't occur to me that I would lose my way of life when it wa…

It depends where you are. In the city where I live there are no interesting prospects in the app (That's after cooking several times a week for a year) But visiting New York City... Totally different story. It's interesting to try in different cities when I travel they all seem to have their own peculiarities inventorywise (to use an app term).

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
