What does status look like? How do I get it? I'm in a good profession, doing well, all my affairs in order? My one missing link would be physically I could be in better shape. But for the most part I tick the other boxes.

I have money and can't get a date to save my life (almost literally at this point)

How I've always seen it is that all the things I have to offer after things you would see straight away, so money is a way to get someone interested enough to actually want to come over and spend time with me when I then have the opportunity to provide all the other things I think I could.

I guess they are saying 3-5 by 22 years old. That would be about one sexual partner a year from when it's legal. I know people who rack up those numbers in a few months. I think it highly depends on why. The circumstances are important, if that's 5 partners that you were dating that all failed? That's probably a red flag. If you got a bit carried away during a summer at college? Eh. If you need a sexual partner to be able to feel emotionally stable? Not great.

It's not that she said it it's that it happened.

Less effort for me than you and I'm amused by the effort you're putting into nothing. Typical old man

I mean I agree. I'm just saying that was her defence

I don't think there is any defending it. But as devils advocate it could be argued that if you so was fully committed to killing themselves and repeatedly tried to unsuccessfully, and you sympathised with them enough (caveat - as a grown up, at this point you seek professional help for them, as a child in a mindset as distorted as that of the suicidal boy however) you might begin to support them in their pursuit, seeing it as the easiest way for their suffering to end.

Seemed like he would have lost it anyway in time. Judging by just how far down the spiral he was - that said he could have been helped into professional help and made it back to earth eventually

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
