(Please read text) If you think this deformity is truly a source of rejection, then do you really want to get with the girl who rejects you based on this? If you believe surgery is the answer then by all means go for it. This will (hopefully) improve your confidence in your appearance. Thus, in the meantime I'd recommend working on simply talking to girls, learning to read people, and most importantly developing charm and knowing how to use It without being cringe worthy or cheesey. The first part, I find works out at least 60% of the time. I know myself that I'm a good judge of character and I can tell if a girl is into me or not. In finishing and getting her home I'd say I've a success rate of maybe 20% overall. And what's your plan if things start to go south? (This is necessary in order to identify your strong points also.) Then you'll need to decide if you can and if you're willing to change those aspects of your appearance so someone else will be attracted to you physically.
