The other side of this is that exposing the paternity lie would create more single mothers and/or less stable families. Also, women would never support any mandated paternity tests, as the alpha fucks/beta bucks is the basis of their reproductive strategies. It's good for both the alpha who wants to fuck and not invest in children and in the women who need someone to raise the alpha's children. Also the beta male who has the bad gene gets to have the female companionship they seek and the illusi…

Agreed that it's not the 'main pursuit' of meditation. But it's a bit like saying "The point of lifting weights is not to gain the ability to lift heavy things, be physically attractive, alleviate medical conditions brought on by a sedentary lifestyle, etc. The main pursuit is to be fit". Being physically fit would be useless if it weren't for the 'collateral' advantages that it brings you, right? What would be the point of knowing your mind if you couldn't use that knowledge to create distance …

When I started I couldn't do more than 5 minutes a day. It took a while to be able to do 15-20 minutes. Just showing up is half the battle. One bit that helped me was remembering that there's rarely such a thing as an unsuccessful session, just showing up and flexing that mind muscle is helpful, no matter how much of a bad monkey my mind is being.

I generally have a 45 minute bus ride in which I can do a meditation session (15 or 20 minutes). After a few months, I started being able to do it on the days where I'm driving instead of busing. It's definitely not as easy, mostly because I can't close my eyes, but it's super helpful to not get irate when stuck in traffic, and to help stay longer in that mode when I'm done and the world assaults my senses again.

Agreed. I've been using the Headspace app daily for the past 6 months, and it has really helped my ability to concentrate and be more in control of my emotions. Would highly recommend picking up a meditation app and finding a way to fit it into your routine. I like doing a meditation during my commute, or before a gym session/Martial Arts class. Edit: if you can do meditation the whole day without finding it hard or feeling like there are obstacles, you're probably doing it wrong.

Great post. This reminds me of this episode on the art of manliness podcast about how compassion for your future self and others is much better than willpower as a motivational tool.

In my experience the best way to get over the fear of failure is to fail over and over again. Once you come out the other side, you'll see that there was not much to fear. Knowing your limitations is not necessarily a disempowering feeling.

Taking on the burden of his father voluntarily is psychologically freeing. Before that moment it seems that he felt trapped in his obligation to help his father. Now he voluntarily takes on the pain and it doesn't feel like being trapped anymore. Therefore he is now more free than before. Not taking care of his dad while still feeling like he has that responsibility would not make him more free, it would trap him in guilt.

she says society is brainwashing us into these roles This is the key here that tells you about her underlying belief. My point is that it is NOT society brainwashing us into these roles. It's our relationship with testosterone. Testosterone-driven people are more likely to be assertive and risk-taking. They're more likely to be leaders. Since men are the more testosterone-driven gender, it is then expected that society would push for men to be the best kind of testosterone-driven people they cou…

Here's my way of thinking about this: It's not about male vs female, but it's about testosterone vs estrogen compulsions. If you're going the testosterone route, you're better off being bold, strong, decisive, leading, etc. If you're going the estrogen route, you're better off being agreeable, intuitive, emotional, etc. Whether you're male or female, you probably have a tendency for one or the other, and you're probably better off min/maxing your behaviour to adhere to the hormone that you're le…

I think the basic message of JP's book is OYS, so I can see the argument being made to make it to the sidebar. But I agree that the argument needs to actually be made by OP if he hopes to get anywhere with his desire.

OP never mentioned "getting back at his parents". He literally says "Obviously I have to obey my parents, but I should have a say in what I'm affected by.". This is about being assertive and stating his own desires, which an ideal parent would welcome and handle better than flying off the handle. This is what parents should train their kids to be, imo.

The question seems odd to me. Hypergamy means that there is no distinction between genuine attraction and status seeking. Physical attraction is only a part of genuine attraction, and plays a role in status-- especially in a club setting where the biggest indicator of status is physical attractiveness.

None of his reasons are selfish reasons. Both of them affect all RPers who use the theme. He has a very valid point that the big banner very much goes against the "don't talk about the red pill" mindset and that good subreddit design should facilitate function before form. Accept things as they are is all well and good for your stoic inner mind, but you should also strive to make the world for the people around you better, which is what he is doing.

Facebook use has been linked to increased depression. I keep my account activated but I never go browse feeds or anything like that. I just use it for the Messenger app in order to keep in touch with acquaintances.

I agree with /u/quicklogaccount , I think you're shooting yourself in the foot by trying to do that. My impression is that you don't actually want to start seeing other people, but are instead trying to illicit a reaction from your spouse without really having to go through with it, which imho is actually more dishonest than going through with your stated goal and taking off the ring in order to see other people.

I disagree with this. The introduction to PUA is like this, but it's really only to let you develop your own style and your own approach. The "cheesy lines" only work because they boost the person's confidence. Afaik, PUA also advocates for getting fit, dressing well, taking charge of your life, etc. To me, it's like the technical side of TRP, whereas the core of TRP is more ideological.

Not much to do. Nothing to be hurt about, plates are not LTRs. Never think that if you're spinning a plate that means she's exclusive to you. They're not yours, it's just your turn. Simply go spin another one instead.

There's never a moment where I feel "okay, I've now achieved manhood". It's a constant road I'm on toward more investment in myself, more rewards and more self-confidence.

Do something instead that is a self-investment. Work on a hobby, go work out or hang out with your friends. You don't want to seem that you're relying on her to have a good time. Show her that you're not perturbed by her dropping your plans.
/r/askTRP17/04/16 10:55 PM

Always be honest. If you're confident that it is okay to have plates, don't hide that from her. If she's not okay with that, she'll let you know. Don't hide yourself because she's a good/hot fuck.

It's not a problem. Just stop relying on her so much and get closer to your male friends. Find things for you guys to do together. Go play some sports together, or go to the gym, something that boosts your energy and that you usually can't do with girls. If they don't seem to want to do those kind of things with you (like if they just play vid games and smoke weed or something, as a large majority of guys do these days), then find some people that do. You'll be way better off for it. Join a club…

the kiss shouldn't be a defining moment imho. You should start with light kino and progress all the way to sex, with kissing being a natural progression from the first touch. It shouldn't be a surprise to her.

I think that once you've swallowed the pill, you either step it up and raise your SMV or you give up and go MGTOW. Not saying that the two are mutually exclusive, but I've seen some people start trying to get fitter, have abundance mentality, all that stuff and not being able to. They end up kind of giving up on women altogether and now just play video games/do stuff on their own with zero expectations of ever having sex again.

She has a red pill mentality, supports me in my mission, and I help her be the best wife/mother she can be. Oneitis is when you rely on her to give you value. The Way of Men talks about how men need to be in a tribe/gang system in order to function optimally. He argues that values like courage, strength, mastery and honor are about how men see/judge each other, and that being able to connect and engage well with other men are what brings the balance in an LTR. A lot of the needs that the blue pill promises to fulfill are actually fulfilled by your relationship with your gang of male friends. Good book, I highly recommend it. It was last month's book o…

I want to chill out more Funny post, but I'd be scared that you're putting too much of your validation on these girls. Not on an individual girl per se, but on your general ability to get women. I personally get this feeling of wanting to chill out more when I haven't hung out with my group of male friends for a while. Learning how to connect with other men was definitely something I had to learn how to do better once I swallowed the red pill. Just a thought.
/r/TheRedPill20/02/15 02:15 PM

I disagree with you. To me, this looks like a woman ready to swallow the red pill. She understands that she is misunderstanding gender dynamics, and takes steps to try and learn the truth by gathering data. This is very similar to what TRP/RPW is doing.
/r/TheRedPill20/02/15 02:01 PM
26

The opposite is true too, when i first swallowed the red pill I started lifting, ate better, worked harder. Then once I started getting pussy regularly I stopped all of this because I got the gratification I was looking for. Of course a year later in an LTR I lost my edge and had to start all over again but with a more internal method of validation so that it doesn't happen again.

I don't think that some women are unicorns. I'm saying that calling women whores sounds like a frustrated beta. Learn to manage your woman and she won't be a whore. /r/TheRedPill21/01/15 01:12 PM

I disagree that all women are whores. We as a society have lost touch with the balance that's needed for men and women to work well together. If all women are whores, then all men are weak betas.

I agree with this except for the fall in love part. To me being in love is having the right dynamic with my LTR. It's not a source of emotions but a result. If we support each other the right way, learning and traversing the TRP and RPW mindset to make our lives stable and passionate, we can consider ourselves to be in love with each other and with ourselves. It just means as opposed to an object for your pleasure. To realize that there's a full-fledged being behind the skin.
