Yeah but I recently found a barber in a new city after going to unisex salons my whole life and I don't ever want to go back. It's not that there's anything wrong with unisex salons, it's just that my hair looks better for cheaper and the place doesn't smell weird, or try to push product I don't want. It's just an old Chinese dude who basically knows what I want better than I do.

Yeah WTF is this? Sobbing on the couch from a brief flirtation and then the girl didn't want anything serious? Sounds like they hooked up once? Isn't that most of the point of this sub? Sounds to me like she dodged the bullet. OP needs to tell her friend to build a bridge over his river of tears and get over it. It's disappointing when something doesn't work out but if you let it faze you like that nobody will want to sleep with you, let alone be with you. If a girl wants something discrete that…

I usually just go for it. If they say they have a dude, I say something like "Well tell your boyfriend/husband/whatever that you still got it," which usually goes over pretty well. Respectful but still flirty, in case she's on the market next time I see her.

I just wanted to say I think it's pathetic how much empirical, methodical thought you weirdos put into something as natural as social interaction. Well that's a weird, visceral reaction. I mean, sociologists do it, why can't we? Can at least one person agree that hearing something that comes so natural split cue by cue is strange I have a linguistics degree, so that's actually pretty much right up my alley. Nobody thinks about language because they "already know it," but they don't understand th…

a virgin can't just hide in a closet watching other people fuck all the time. What do? Can't, or won't?

Yeah, I met a guy at the bar at the end of last year and he seemed really cool, so we exchanged numbers (no homo). Then we hung out a couple times the next week and he seemed really cool. I had a Seinfeld and Hernandez-level legit man-crush, but then came the texts. He would text me to hang out at least once a day. He would tell me more than I wanted to know about his feelings and pry about mine. He became friends with my roommate, he would watch for our cars and text us the minute one of us got…

You're missing an L (it's tumblr), so it's linking to some spam site. Hopefully. Is it doing that for everybody else or do I have adware? EDIT: Also, I realize that these guys are idiots (who the hell puts a rant about women on a dating site?) and a lot of them are really creepy, too, this blog kind of rustled my jimmies. I'm not a "nice guy" but seriously, she's just hateful, and fedoras are a perfectly acceptable hat. And while these guys are painfully misguided, I can count how many times I'v…

Pasta is cheap, easy as hell and you can do amazing things with it. Sautee some chicken breasts/shrimp/steak/sausage and make a white wine/alfredo/marsala/tomato sauce with linguine/angel hair/fettucine/penne. Throw in some vegetables and you're good to go. Peppers never hurt anything and they add color, too. It's easy as hell, Google it. If you're too lazy to make sauce, there are some pre-made sauces that aren't half bad. I've been into the Campbell's ones that come in a bag. You could probabl…

While I can imagine your surprise, what I'm saying is that you shouldn't be surprised. And I take that "not looking for a relationship" means looking for something new / nothing serious No, no, no. That's exactly what I'm telling you. That's what "I'm not looking for a relationship" means, literally, but I'm telling you that more often than not, it's bullshit. It's a really useful phrase for bitching about the opposite sex, get somebody off your jock, make yourself look like a "free spirit," jus…

When the night before "HG" says Ann isn't looking for a relationship If somebody says this, they're usually full of shit. Sometimes it's legitimately true but more often than not it's just posturing/delusion. I've never had any girl not flip out when I've said people don't mean this when they say it, but it's only gotten truer over the years (I'm 26, so I can only imagine this trend continues until my friends are all divorce age).

You're comparing the subject, "it" to a unit of distance "ten feet" but treating "it" as a noun and "ten feet" as an adjective. Though it's not explicitly stated, the sentence equates to: No, you're using the discourse particle "like." There are quite a few of them, and they're extremely useful. According to some grammarians and other folks who like being judgemental more than actually studying language, they're vermin and to be avoided at all costs (they especially hate poor "like") but they're…

Wow, the way you're talking about this makes you sound like a sociopath, dude. On the one hand I have no conflict of interest with them now, since I have secured my goal, but on the other, a person is never really "secure," and I would hate to lose any social proof that being the AMOG represents Your first hand is actually the only hand. What you call "scorned AMOGs" are what most people call "haters." The thing about haters is, they gon hate. Let them hate. Wave at them. "Hi, haters. Keep talki…

It should be "bear" here (bear in the sense of carrying, like bearing a burden), "bare" means you know, naked or raw.

Rick Ross is 1) a famous rapper 2) a millionaire If he was Joe Schmoe, nobody would want to suck anything on him. Not even his ridiculous beard. And I'm a big Rick Ross fan.

I'd say a lot of it depends on the size of your circle of friends and your location. I live in a city of 300,000 with a metro area of like 750,000 that's kind of a dump, and I tend to go after the same type of girls (hipsters, you might say). Consequently, it's really hard to find somebody to hook up with who isn't at least a friend of a friend. To illustrate this point, last night I hooked up with a girl who dated a guy I knew in high school until recently and knows my old roommate and a bunch …

Yet pulling someone within your friendship circle can cause a lot of friction between you and with others around and lead to awkwardness and complications (like relationships). It can but it doesn't have to. There are a couple girls in my circle of friends that I sleep with once in a great while. I actually dated one for a minute but we were horrible for each other (thank God this was a mutual realization), but man, when the stars align and we end up together... magic.

Well how has "I've got enough friends already" been working for you? Because I haven't even tried it since like freshman year of college. It's always come off bitter and needy out of my mouth.

Well ideally this should never happen because you should make your intentions clear from the start. Sometimes it's unavoidable though. If a girl gives you LJBF, laugh it off. Don't let it phase you. Don't say anything about "Hit me up if you change your mind" or "I've got enough friends already," those are both almost as cliche as LJBF itself. Just let her know that you're not trying to be a creeper and don't make a big deal about it, be awesome instead (or rather, remain awesome). A lot of time…

I have to wonder if this is a thing, because I'm no stranger to the water park succubus. I always figured it was the party vibe at the park itself, but maybe there's something deeper and unfaithful tramps are drawn to water parks.

What's your height/weight? I know fat guys who can seduce circles around me (which doesn't really make sense at all, but you know what I mean). For what it's worth, I've seen fat guys have the most success with being disarmingly forward, as long as they're funny and confident. Be a big fat dynamo. You could even make that your mantra. "I'm a big fat dynamo." Of course, like 99% of the guys on here, I'm more or less talking out of my ass.

This whole aspect of the story is kind of confusing to me. Obviously there's such a thing as a gay alpha, you don't have to be gay or even really have a lot of gay friends to know that. I honestly think it's because of OP's age. It was a good story overall but throw in the close-minded view of gay guys and it feels like I'm reading something from 20 or 30 years ago.

I'm the reason that women have their emotions guarded, and I'm the guy you'd punch out if you weren't such a little bitch. A little modesty goes a long way, and nobody should want to be "the reason women have their emotions guarded."

It's douchey, sure, but I think the point (if I'm reading it right) is that this guy is a douche. He's getting mad women. Wouldn't they be better off with you? It's a motivational character. Or maybe OP really is that douchey, but it still works as a motivator. I'm not taking back my upvote either way, but I hope it's a character.

Isn't the Mystery Kiss Close "Would you like to kiss me?" I thought the whole point was to turn it around on her instead of asking for permission, which I know from experience rarely works.

Nobody's going to say "Yeah, you really put the moves on me, greenmag. You had me wrapped around your little finger." I think this is less of a huge insight and more of a case of self-reporting being a ridiculously inaccurate way of gathering data. "Boasting" is only boasting when it doesn't work, "lying" only comes to light after the fact so unless she's a mind reader, that's a cop out, and "boring" is relative, but that's probably her only good point. Game pretty much boils down to not being b…

No animosity, mostly confusion. I'd like to offer you some insight in kind: when it comes to social interaction, everyone is always running a game at all times. Sociologists call it "face," but you can call it whatever you want to, it's a role and you're playing it, whether you want to or not.

Of course I'm a guy who doesn't believe it is a game and don't treat it as such. Then why are you here? Simply put, I have the utmost respect for women and am simply genuine and sincere with them. You want a medal? I think that describes most of us, but you can be genuine and sincere and still not get laid. I did it for a long time, then I got sick of striking out and decided to get back into the scene.

I've wondered this, too, and I'm hoping for some good insights from other people. I think it's a contextual thing, and sometimes people just have a really small personal "bubble," but at the very least it means she thinks you're not creepy.

Are you really that skeptical? It's not like when you graduate they take away your fun license. I was a commuter so I never was in that like "college bubble," but the hardest I ever partied in college was with a group of guys who were about five years older than me (I'm 25 now, so about my age... back then if that makes sense). You just have to find a good scene in your town/city. A lot of things about getting older actually make parties better. People dress better, do what they want instead of …
