Absolutely, it’s obviously not going to be applicable to every instance. Just a validation of tendencies of how each gender is more likely to behave in the situation.

I’ve linked an article that summarizes the findings of the study, but actually it doesn’t appear to work the same for men and women. When men “date up” they basically do more towards their partner and contribute more to keep them happy in the relationship. When women do, the study points to it leading to insecurity which then causes them to tend to focus heavily on going to the gym and dieting, which isn’t the same behaviour at all. I’ve [M] found similar in personal relationships, when it seems…

I saw a poster for this awhile ago in stores and it was the last time I shopped there. If you want to treat me like I somehow matter less, you’re not going to get my business. Thankfully Shopper’s already overprices both their pharmaceuticals and normal retail products compared to pretty much every other retailer in Canada.

I’ve linked the study, but women who are married to less attractive men did tend to be happiest because the men would be more motivated to be better partners and do more for their wives when they felt they were getting a “good deal” attractiveness wise. Hilariously, when women dated more attractive men, they tended to not exhibit the same behaviour and instead of trying to make their partner happier, they become more obsessive with exercise and dieting, likely to combat some level of insecurity.…

I have personally tried to “date down” in an attempt to get something closer to 50/50 input from my partner, but that is absolutely no guarantee that it will be provided. Most women aren’t even aware they’re dating up (especially younger women because of obvious SMV), and even the ones that are are more likely to just be paranoid and insecure in the relationship (which makes your life far worse) instead of trying to be a better partner. Not a great strategy. You’re much better off just communica…

First off, congrats on being a girthy boi. There are girls fully convinced that fast motion while also being heavy on the teeth feels good, which makes blood an actual reality.

Men frequently (though less frequently than women) also don’t have orgasms regularly from bad sex. Women putting high expectations on men for “performance” in what is supposed to be a fun experience for both people alone is a common cause of bad sex. To go further, I don’t think you’ve ever had your penis broken with a month recovery period from someone riding improperly, or painful erections for a week because someone literally made you bleed from a toothy blowjob or bad handjob.

Haha that is undoubtedly an excellent point. Maybe if the man had some preconceived notion that there was some core differences or something that couldn’t be overcome between them, then she tries to reshape her image or show that she’s somehow different from what he believes? I think that could at least make a rom com with enough filler.

I mean, if a quiet, shy, unassuming woman suddenly went out of her way to shower a man with romantic gestures and try to essentially court him, I would see the appeal in that. It just doesn’t happen in the real world.

Super loose vaginas, women who are unresponsive, women who have no ability to give head or even give painful head, women who don’t know how to communicate their needs, women who do nothing but lay there, women who contribute nothing to foreplay. All of these are also pretty frequent and can equally result in bad sex for both partners. Responsibility lies on everyone.

Oddly I don’t think the goal, or at least primary goal, of most modern relationships is creation of babies, but if that exchange works for you, power to you! Though even then your definition of women as “someone who can provide reproductive labour” is a bit close minded.

I feel men really do want true love and romance, but the reality is that is pretty much non-existent for even traditionally high value men. Think about all of popular media and how almost all romances are centred around the female with an appealing man doing everything in his power to chase this woman, fully commit to her, be completely loyal to her, and do whatever he can to make her happy. That’s not a fantasy for men because the reverse pretty much doesn’t exist. Women want romance, but do al…

Oddly I think the reason bisexuality is less accepted by women is it then presents the fear that the man is closeted gay, or at least that he may cheat with another man. Somehow it’s hard for women to accept that men can have interest in other men, but still be attracted primarily to women apparently. I’ve told past partners I’m bisexual (very lightly so at that), and while about half of them were supportive and saw it as a fun opportunity to use more toys (lots of girls do love pegging), have s…

As some counterpoints: Society tends to put the responsibility of both people’s pleasure on men. If the woman doesn’t have an orgasm it’s the man’s fault, and if the man doesn’t have an orgasm it’s the man’s fault. This both adds pressure on the man and requires more effort, whereas a woman essentially doing nothing in bed is pretty commonly accepted. There’s a societal expectation that men always want sex. This means that whenever a male doesn’t give consent because they don’t want to have sex,…

As a conventionally attractive male, it’s relatively easy to enter a relationship with a conventionally attractive female. That however has absolutely no correlation to the actual quality of the relationship in pretty much any form. Some of the most attractive people I’ve dated have been blatantly abusive and manipulative, or insecure to the point they have to control my entire life. Even in terms of sex, being with an attractive person largely does not mean you’re having having quality sex or g…

To further this, the experiences I’ve had dating people with some pretty unhealthy habits when I wasn’t smart enough to leave usually lead to me developing a lot of those unhealthy habits myself.

I did not film her throwing knives at me. It’s not realistic to assume you can capture the worst of these moments on film. She can easily create her own marks is she wanted to claim domestic abuse. Even just from having sex people get bruises. I think you’re really misunderstanding the difference between “getting arrested and suffering social consequences” and “getting arrested and found guilty of whatever you were accused of”. It takes zero evidence past a relatively believable accusation to ma…

Believe it or not, filming someone while I ask them to leave my house will not clear my name or prevent police from arresting me if she makes a rape or domestic violence allegation. I’m not saying I will actually be prosecuted and found guilty, but you don’t have to be to face social or employment repercussions.

I wouldn’t quite go that far. I’m not here to hate on women, and most aren’t going to behave like this and go to these extents purely to maintain control or hurt me. There’s definite steps you can take to filter out people with poor intentions. As for this specific one, even though she was incredibly nice towards me in our early relationship, it was clear she was quite consistently angry towards other people in her life, and was perfectly okay with going out of her way to harm them/make their li…

Maybe not rape, but marks of violence aren’t difficult to fake whatsoever, and as explained above, they’re going to believe the small blonde girl over me if it comes down to that.

Okay, now I have a very angry, confrontational woman with a history of aggression, making a scene, and damaging my property locked outside my house with part of her belongings there (at best). Not only is it likely that she’s going to damage my car, windows, etc. but all of my neighbours are likely going to see this and probably call the police, which may or may not go in my favour as explained before. Even in a best case scenario, that action is probably going to have some fallout. Kind of need…

Was dating a girl who I eventually broke it off with. She refused to leave my house for a period of two months, essentially not accepting the breakup. Keep in mind she did not live with me prior to this, she just decided she was not going to leave my house. Hellish 2 months of constantly being yelled at and having my belongings broken ensued. Breaking point was when I was directly threatened with a knife (after she had already thrown several in my direction) after refusing to have sex with her. …

I think they see not wanting to wear a poorly fit condom as an invalid reason to change your mind about wanting to have sex, and therefore an invalid reason to remove consent, which is really, really messed up logic. Then I further have to assume that the people who aggressively attacked me for holding such an opinion on Reddit see it as a way to pressure someone into having unprotected sex (I believe that’s why the mods called me a rapist), when in reality, I’m perfectly happy with walking away…

Isn’t completely related, but worth mentioning. I really struggle to have sex with condoms on due to a combination of light nerve damage and having foreskin, and I’m oddly wide so if I do have to wear a condom, I pretty much need my own special condoms or it isn’t going to be fun for me, and more than likely painful. In unexpected casual encounters, if I don’t have my own on hand, and they are not okay with having unprotected sex (I get tested frequently, but I still understand the very present …

If you’re finding you’re getting attention on the streets, but not on apps, you may just need to spend some time tweaking your profile. Eventually if you have a large enough selection to choose from, you can eventually find some people with legitimate appeal and good intentions with some effort. Just again, it is definitely a taxing process even if you’re lucky.
/r/MensRights24/03/21 09:53 PM

Either really take your time vetting any potential interests to verify they have good intentions, or make yourself more successful and appealing to the point women start making an effort to get your attention. To be quite honest, dating as a man probably isn’t worth it for most guys in the modern dating scene. Most women will expect you to provide everything and make every effort with essentially no reciprocation, which isn’t at all going to be beneficial for your own happiness.
/r/MensRights24/03/21 09:47 PM

Exactly. The comparison I like to draw immediately is “teach black men not to rape”, and immediately people seem to recognize that saying that is awful because of the obvious implications. But somehow the thin line between those two is where a lot of people differentiate “perfectly okay” and “complete bigotry”.

I’m 6’ and about 245lbs. I’ve been threatened with a knife, had personal belongings smashed, and was called a series of derogatory terms because I didn’t want to fuck my 4’11”, 95lb blonde ex who refused to leave my house. She would openly laughed at me when I threatened to call the police because she could (and likely successfully) just accuse me of anything I accused her of and be believed by the authorities. Validation of principle given. I don’t even have a large social media following, but a fair portion of it is people I’ve met on dating apps and have a loose connection to. Just having several comment or leave compliments on posts has seemingly done wonders for how much effort other women are willing to put into pursuing me.

To make things even better, even if you do fall within that group you’re still expected to hold her on a pedestal and treat her like an absolute god to have a semi-functional relationship.

Okay, I agree with that, this was more so a texting or at least non-dating app strategy. If you’re only messaging people once a day on a dating app, yes, you’ll likely get buried in their messages. This is intended for after you move to something else.

If you’re finding specifically girls who are obsessive with you, yes, but that’s not really frequent, and again, it’s also not something I want to spend most of my day giving attention to, especially if it’s just for something casual.
/r/seduction12/02/21 12:57 AM

Yes, this strategy kind of falls apart if you aren’t at least messaging daily. Nothing for a few days seems either suspicious or like your really don’t care to most people still.

I think some girls are just like that. Especially over the last year because of Covid, most times I’ve met up with people, it was after a week or two of messaging once a day. I have a life too and if you’re trying for multiple people, it’s unsustainable to talk to 3-4 people constantly all day.
/r/seduction11/02/21 05:47 PM

I will frequently message people I’m interested in at very slow rates. People have their own lives and likely aren’t just messaging you, especially early on. Be patient. There is nothing more unattractive than someone who is too impatient to wait or criticizes someone for messaging slowly.
/r/seduction11/02/21 05:03 PM
26

Sounds kind of counterintuitive, but something I’ve found that helps consistently is try to match their pace of responses or a bit slower. People get socially exhausted pretty fast these days, and if you’re the dude who bombards her with messages, it’s probably going to seem like too much effort for her, especially in the early stages of talking before you’ve met.

As someone in a somewhat similar position, I can relate, it never hurts to look around though, just get good at hiding your wealth. There are legitimately good women out there who can benefit your life. It’s just takes some time to sort through the trash while also protecting yourself.

I am a man and I absolutely know a rapist. She decided to put my penis inside of her while I was fully asleep after having a few too many drinks. I discussed this with our general co-friend group and they all assured me I was overreacting. And yet, I certainly know a rapist.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates05/02/21 06:28 AM

Exactly. It’s not at all necessary to include groups supposedly perpetrating these crimes, but doing so always has the implication that everyone in said group is a promoter of said behaviours. It’s literally just continuing the stereotyping that if you are a man, you are a rapist. You can tell women to be cautious of strangers and this is just as, if not more effective of a PSA.

There’s even further caveats to this claim including men work significantly more dangerous jobs (almost all workplace injuries and deaths are men), more likely to work outside, take more overtime, take less time off, take less sick days, and are more willing to choose careers that pay well under expectations they are responsible to be a provider, as opposed to jobs they’re interested in/want to do. But of course none of that is ever mentioned.

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing a single mother for any amount of time, even if it isn’t biologically your child, it soon becomes the expectation that the child is now your financial burden as well, even if you’re only casually dating (expectations of chipping in for a sitter, paying for meals or excursions for everybody, etc).

Women literally promote other women to take actions like these and call them empowering. She’s obviously the victim (because she’s female, she has to be) so any illegal actions must be justified.

If you’ve ever spoken to a feminist, it’s because that’s the only movement they see as fighting for gender equality, and anything else must be bigotry which they’ve vocally made everyone aware of. Most are somehow even deluded into thinking feminism actively fights for men’s rights too (despite the staggering evidence against this), which is why no other movement is ever even justified to exist to them. Somehow after years of promotion, this also seems to be what both popular media and academia …

Government of Canada stats on domestic violence in same-sex couples to point out that it can’t be rare in women or somehow caused by men when it’s so prevalent in female-female couples: https://www150.statcan.gc.ca/n1/pub/85-002-x/2019001/article/00005-eng.htm

I was pretty confident I’d get banned based on the atmosphere of the group, yes. Again, I’m providing stats that occurrences of abuse are proportionately highest in female-female couples. Yes, the frequency of women abusing men is statistically less than the opposite, but it’s still pretty significantly prevalent, and again, that’s after you ignore the fact domestic abuse of males is underreported, but that’s hard to prove, especially to someone who wants you to be wrong. The point I’m trying to…

Damn, I’m sorry you’ve been affected that personally. I’ve both been in it and seen it. I fully agree, if anything it doesn’t seem to affect men as much because society doesn’t give us options to either reach out for help, try to escape, or even report it. We’re just expected to accept the abuse because that’s what we’re told men should do, and society attacks anything other than that.
/r/MensRights18/12/20 11:47 PM

Oddly even “lower level” forms of physical violence were highest in female-female couples. I also have a knee-jerk assumption to assume most physical violence against men either gets underreported or laughed off when it is. I’m a 245lb bodybuilder type and I’ve consistently had a 95lb ex who would throw plates and cutlery at me so this one hit a bit close to home.
