I feel like I see a lot of virtue signaling on Reddit and in public, so sometimes people seem dishonest. Like on Reddit there are threads where the majority of men say they aren't desperate for sex but there are surveys where 75% of men said they sleep with an attractive woman they just met on the spot no questions asked. It feels like people aren't being genuine, and they end up producing a distorted view of reality that others may latch onto. Then a man may feel out of place for just being hon…

I agree with you completely, women can see through their BS and they play victim instead of having a growth mindset

I'm sure that's true for you personally, but in my experience most women don't find it sexually attractive. Every guy I know has ended up in the friendzone with women that seemed great from a compatibility aspect. Why do you think so many men who are highly compatible with some women still end up in the friendzone?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/24 06:59 PM

I don't think those are feminine behaviors, I would just say that women need to lean into their masculine side when they need to be confident, especially in the workplace. This is why a man who can't lead is so unattractive to straight feminine women, it's like dating another women. A lot of women will be masculine at work, which is normal and then on a date they won't want to make any decisions, they'd rather the guy leads. That's because being indecisive & following is feminine, and leading & …

All of that is important for a healthy and fulfilling long term relationship, but I would argue it doesn't affect sexual attraction. Like 2 people do always need a bond but it could be so much more shallow than that and work out. A guy could be a 10 in all those categories but if he doesn't look and behave in an attractive way then he's going to the friendzone everytime Men do the same thing, a woman could be his perfect match but if she isn't physically attractive to him then shes just a best b…

It's masculine behaviors, such as confidence. Women like men who are decisive, strong, assertive, socially intelligent, ambitious, etc.

I know plenty of below average women who get 99+ likes on Tinder and they also shame people (especially other women) for trying too hard when it comes to dating. Those women would tell men that dating is easy if you just be yourself and stop trying so hard. So if a guy takes that advice and never makes the first move, how do you think his dating life is going to go? People tell you life isn't fair in the context that you need to work hard to make money, but I've never met anyone who said it's a …

I think this sentiment is somewhat common amongst young people but people are usually good natured once they meet you. So even if there's this resentment, it vanishes as soon as you chat for a bit.

I think that's a reasonable start and the only solution is to keep improving yourself as a man. Personally I would also want to hear the reality that it's tough and it isn't fair so don't compare your dating results to women.

Because both are true at the same time. You usually end up with someone who is about as attractive as you are and if you try to force something with someone who is more attractive it will never "feel" right because they know they could do better. They won't match your energy and you'll both know something is off eventually. Usually the "right fit"/chemistry is only even possible when that mutual attraction is on point and you both open up fully. Basically if you're not very aware of your own att…

There are ugly dudes who shoot their shot with 10/10 women, and sometimes women respect the confidence actually. Men usually try to date someone more attractive than themselves just like women might go after the leader of the group etc. All humans try to get the best "deal" they can find. Women who are overconfident and just become FWB with guys they wish they could date are probably way more stuck then they understand which is its own kind of sad.

I think blackpill men would argue you and your bf are unicorns, I think that's who you really meant to target in this post, not red pill. I think RP would argue that your bf makes up for his looks by being a really masculine guy with great traits and resources (for example him having a car), and that's why your relationship is working. RP (at its best) is for men to know their worth and be masculine which isn't incompatible with being an attentive partner as long as you're reciprocating and it s…

She is a good female partner by RP standards. She works in tech and she's very pretty. Shes passive, timid, and feminine, but also independent and could take care of herself without me but she clearly loves it when I take charge so she can just have fun. I'm like 50/50 RP/BP so to me she seems like a great catch and does match the 50% of RP things I believe in. I do think men and women tend to follow rules innately and I think that's true in all of my personal experiences. The most important tak…

That's the key difference, women are picking to not have FWB, they're in control and that helps a lot feeling like you have autonomy in your life. A lot of men just give up because they can't figure it out. To OP's point men and women aren't often single in the same way, men can be a lot more helpless IMO.

On top of the book recommendations, consider getting a therapist and working on your boundaries. Your whole post reminds me of myself when I had no boundaries. Boundaries will keep you from being used and it will force you to be more honest about what you want and you'll eventually see that women love that behavior.

I think being overly effeminate with no balance will be a death sentence for a man on the dating market. Kpop stars are rock stars with tons of status & money and have to have a lot of confidence & skills to do what they do. They also live an exciting lifestyle. They are good looking while being androgynous but women kind of like that if you can back it up with masculine behaviors, it's a nice contrast. I think my point is it's not something men should aspire to, it's difficult to replicate, men…

I think it's more so a mixture of societal pressure to settle down and have kids mixed with men being more mature & stable to have LTR. I don't think women ever struggle with dating no matter what age, women always have the edge. I doubt most women feel like they had so many options in their 20s but it's dried up by 30. Women always have a lot of options, even if most of them suck.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/23 11:58 PM

While true, it doesn't mean every 50yo actually wants to date a 21yo, just perhaps bang her. We do want compatibility and everything else women want when it comes to LTR.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 02:44 PM

Women are also attracted to masculine behaviors, just as much as looks. That's why a woman's attraction towards you can wane if she doesn't respect you or you don't lead the date well. I would speculate that if you made better masculine moves towards her on the date she would have felt more of a spark, and that especially involves playfully touching her on the date

People make excuses for their SO when they first start dating and focus on the emotional high, but after the honeymoon phase is over they start becoming more critical and they may one day realize they don't really like them. I also think people don't really know where their interests when they first start dating. Personally, I thought some qualities and interests were just unreasonable to find in attractive women so I just accepted I would be forced to compromise.

I agree with your sentiment, it doesn't seem like real love would let someone cheat like this. I just remember from the article men said they still loved their wives even while sleeping around so I'm just repeating what they self reported
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/23 04:05 AM
1

A lot of men like casual sex and can do it with no emotional attachment but that doesn't preclude them from wanting to maintain their family. It's equally wrong both ways but that's just the difference of how some men think vs women, and it's probably why men cheat more often than women. I also would bet that men view physical cheating as worse and women view emotional cheating as worse as sort of an inverse of common cheating behaviors.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/23 11:51 PM
6

Most commonly, men will cheat on their wife only because they thought they could get away with it and they can still be totally in love with 0 intention of leaving their wife. It's a bit insidious, you would imagine cheating is only correlated with a rocky relationship but men are kind of shitty.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/23 11:45 PM
2

If you look at the data men cheat opportunistically even if they are happy with their partner, it mostly comes down to opportunities and integrity if they do it. Women usually cheat because the relationship is unsatisfying for some reason, so they are more shopping for a replacement. So yeah for men its more about fomo, I agree with that, and cheating is always shitty and wrong of course.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/23 11:40 PM

I think men usually want both, that's why men most commonly cheat, just because they thought they could get away with easy casual sex

Women need to be aware and own that they are just as shallow as men, just over different things
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/23 04:55 PM

Tbf women are a lot more passive about their dating interest, dating isn't hard for them and it isn't always that important so I don't blame them. If I didn't have to put in so much effort I would be more detached about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/23 01:17 AM
1

Women should own that internal shaming finding men hot only for their height just like men should feel shame chasing a 20 yo women when they're 50. Men are always going to find younger women biologically more attractive. If men are expected to control themselves then maybe women should evolve as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/23 02:12 PM
2

I think women should be more aware that their biological attraction puts pressure on men. Men get shamed for being 50 and chasing 20 yo women - women should be shamed for saying that men who are below 6ft aren't real men. Women getting an ick when a guy shows emotional vulnerability should be shamed etc. Men have had a lot of judgement in the past few decades and hopefully we're evolving, which is good but I think it gets frustrating seeing many women be stagnant on their gender preferences. I dated fob-y women before and it was fine but tough to relate and build a deeper connection for me. My current gf has similar values and interests and I feel a stronger connection to her than anyone I've dated from my past. They aren't lying, they're just living in a bubble, and so are we. People on reddit posting on a forum about gender relations are probably seeing an extremely biased sample. Average people you'll meet via dating apps are going to behave way differently IMO but even then there are biases everywhere
/r/PurplePillDebate25/04/23 11:05 PM

I don't think it makes them more attractive, it's just a side effect that they tend to do better. Being arrogant isn't attractive but you might come off as confident and assertive accidentally which is attractive. A dark triad dude would definitely try harder to succeed and probably get more success, that's probably true in the business world as well, but usually damage is done in the process because they care less about others feelings. You aren't going to filter for a healthy partner using dar…

Sex is nice & essential but relationships & love are the best part. Your friend is missing out on a huge part of human companionship, he just needs to have standards and boundaries and pursue women who have a desire to keep taking care of themselves.

These men can be hyper masculine in their sport or workplace but that doesn't mean that they know how to own their masculinity with women. A man could be a professional gamer and still be very attractive with women if he knows how to carry himself. People assume that having the career or the muscles automatically sets you up for success but that's why dating is so difficult for men, it's all about how you behave.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/23 03:45 PM
2

The issue is that being attractive as a man isnt explained well. It requires effort and good amount of it is behavioral so it isn't easily achieved. It isn't simply look more attractive or earn X money, usually masculinity is the missing ingredient, and it could take years to find your way once you understand your problem. Eventually most men figure it out but it would be a lot easier if people read dating books instead of struggling alone.

I think it's true you can't turn around a no, but most men live in the land of "maybe" for a while. That's how OLD is 95% of the time, the girl is maybe interested in you and it takes a physical date or 2 for her to decide. No one has a crystal ball to know if you behaved differently then the results would be different but I do know as my dating skills improved so did the number of women who became sold on me.

Yeah I think we had somewhat similar experiences. Especially agree with your comment about masculinity. I moved to a new city to continue my relationship with the most recent girl, and I struggled to maintain a sense of self after the move because I was completely new to the area with no friends and was starting a new job that had a difficult learning curve. At the same time, my ex also entered a new role that ended up being much more demanding and much more lucrative than my own. So I took a su…

Sounds similar to my situation, I had 2 LTR cheat on me, and the dudes they cheated on me with were arguably more physically attractive than I was. I think both women already decided after 3+ years it was over and they were open to hooking up with a new dude aka monkey branching. I think they lost attraction because I wasn't being masculine and maintaining attraction in the relationship. The 2nd act with Griffin Hansbury of this podcast explains very well why men get so fixated on sex. I think what you're saying is more true of touching and kissing but not so much for sex. Women won't usually friendzone you for not leading things to sex by the 3rd date, but they would if you haven't kissed by the 3rd date. Women are usually pretty patient about getting to sex in my experience as long as you're having fun dates and breaking the kiss barrier, but it also depends on how dtf she is. If its super obviously dtf and you don't pick up on it then maybe you'll get friendzoned, but thats…

I think almost all women love a short stubble beard, and most women also like clean shaven, ideally men would choose one or the other. A bigger beard is debatable but even if a woman isn't into it, beards can help hide double chins, facial asymmetry, baby faces, so they can look better on some men then being clean shaven. Beards are kind of like makeup for men.

Healthy women won't behave that way. They won't stay if it's toxic and they won't cheat period. In my experience women won't usually cheat unless the overall relationship is unsatisfying but usually that's not due to sex & women won't stick around long for only sex.

The big problem is a lot of them probably are single for long periods of time or with someone they are incompatible with because they didn't have a lot of options. So being bad at dating doesn't mean you'll be an incels necessarily but it might mean you end up with a shitty partner because you don't control your dating life. Even worse they might stick it out in a bad marriage because they don't think they could do better, which is partly why women file for divorce more than men, women usually h…

I've been cheated on twice, I actually think as a guy if you have a healthy relationship and you communicate well you really have nothing to worry about. Women don't usually cheat if they are happy and fulfilled in a relationship, but you need to be very conscious if they are happy and fulfilled. For women I think it's way more difficult to avoid being cheated on, men cheat even when they're happy with their spouse just because the opportunity was tempting. I've never seen that happen with a woman who wanted a LTR with a guy who had his shit together, but there are exceptions to every rule. It's just a label, it hardly changes anything IMO. If you really hate the arrangement then push her to pick gf/bf or stay non-exclusive and date around and see how long she lasts knowing you're free to see other women.
/r/seduction09/08/22 03:06 PM

You're going to see her over & over again so just start slow and read her body language. Over time you'll figure out if she would like to be asked out.
/r/seduction09/08/22 06:17 AM
15

You should plan fun dates that end in the bedroom. Like go minigolfing, dinner, then hook up. Don't worry about the label you have with her, eventually if you have enough fun dates with her that turn into sex, she will want a serious relationship. You don't have to do anything special, you just need to avoid being needy.
/r/seduction09/08/22 06:15 AM

No woman is going to make out with you if she isn't sexually interested in you. Women might tolerate a good night peck for social obligation but they aren't making out with you.
/r/seduction08/08/22 06:14 PM

Usually after you kiss friendzoning isn't going to happen. She is sexually attracted to you, don't second guess that. Every woman has a different pace, just keep creating fun dates where there is an opportunity to have sex and you're doing everything correct, it's okay if sex doesn't happen as long as you both have fun.
/r/seduction08/08/22 05:48 PM

IMO make friends before you focus on women. It's a red flag if a guy has 0 friends. Beyond that a huge part of dating skills come down to strong social skills, so if you don't have strong social skills you will struggle on dates.

You could just text her, "Hey are we still on for 7pm?" To get her to confirm the date. If she doesn't text you back then she isn't going to show up. It's best to confirm the date the evening before and if you don't hear from her by morning then you can usually plan something else.

I think honestly a lot of it comes down to compatibility and physical attraction. Men will go below their standards for easy access to sex and fuckzone those women. Personally if I knew a girl was looking for casual sex I would not be worried about compatibility and I would be okay with her being a little less attractive. When men finally do meet a woman who is worth being committed to she will probably be more physically attractive & compatible for the guy then the girls he was fuckzoning. I wo…

I want to say that women's fear is almost biological so no it doesn't matter if you meet in a populated area, or she's on birth control, or that crime is lower than it was 30 years ago, she still has some innate fear of bad men and still feels some risk meeting a guy. What does photofeeler rate the attractiveness of your first picture? If it's less than 5 then your pictures suck. Definitely have your dating profile reviewed on a subreddit that does that. Also women who have the balls to approach you are going to be much less attractive then women you can get if you pursue, most of the time. Try other OLD apps, Tinder does suck, but other apps aren't as bad like Hinge. Social circle totally works and a lot of success in dating comes down to just being very socially calibrated. It would go hand in hand with networking and making friends. Worstcase you just make a lot of friends which can be as valuable as finding a partner. You can meet women pretty organically by just going to well traveled spots over and over again and becoming a regular, whether it's a bar, coffee shop, gym - even…

Have you tried dating apps like Hinge or having reddit review your profile? Every dating app subreddit has a way to get your profile reviewed. You might get way better results with a few minor tweaks, it helped me.

If you read the studies they argue it's because of social media and decreased alcohol consumption. It's not too late, if you approach women with confidence and make a good impression eventually some women will give you a chance.

Are you thinking that as an opener or would you weave it in like that after 3 messages? I would be a bit worried with that question that she might just say "go for a walk" and then I would have a hard time pivoting from there?

I think I struggle the hardest with having to fall back on boring text questions like "What hobbies are you into" when her profile sucks. I also think I struggle to make a texting conversation man to women sometimes. I feel like if I can tease her then I usually can get things on track but if teasing or roleplaying doesn't feel like an option I struggle. I've gotten pretty good at openers and I know how to close but I feel like it's the middle of the conversation where I'm missing something.

First off men play the numbers game with women they are attracted to, usually the negative side is that they are only physically attracted to her, and most women play their own version of numbers game, it's just different strategies to find the best partner. You would do the same if you just knew you would get rejected from 90% of men, you would also realize you need to be talking to 10x as many men to get a bf. You need to talk to a therapist, this is affecting you more than it should. Yes unde…

No height is probably a bigger factor, but it depends how overweight. A guy could be strong fat and 6'3 and he would be considered very attractive even if his BMI is shit

Top 20% in body is only 1 vector, there's also ethnicity, career/lifestyle, fashion, height, face, etc. All those things are weighed as factors to be in the top 20%.

I do work on myself to be catch and I don't struggle with dating but listing height is kind of toxic, no one can realistically change that and by definition 50% of men are going to be below average height

"Short to average height" "That's not ATTRACTIVE" I guess they should have been born differently? I think in Russia specifically things are skewed since WW2 killed off so many young men for a generation that women actually developed a strong culture of "pick me girls". I mean women do eventually pair up with these average men so either the men clean themselves up or women settle?

Women usually want a LTR, they might be attracted to players and they might even waste time on them sometimes but they logically know it's a waste of their time if all they want is a LTR. If they could know 100% that you pursued only them like a romance novel then you would get past these defenses and that's why you don't want to get pegged hard as a player ever. Those women might have lost interest more so because of the way you told them, I don't think women mind being the only girl you're pur…

Yeah I think that's part of it. A lot of women I dated got on OLD and deleted their accounts within 1-2 weeks and they didn't really ever explained in detail what drove them away but I would bet its dick pics and guys being overly sexual that ruined it

You should have asked those dudes. I would guess it's usually because they are attractive and social, so they have big social circles and a lot of girls have eyes on them. They probably succeed most of the time because all their approaches are with women they know are warm. I think you're just dating bimbos. Being attractive is enough for short term but don't get into a LTR with someone who doesn't meet your standards and clearly a standard you have is that they are curious about you. Some people aren't curious about anything and they aren't a good fit for you. I've dated girls who were interesting and ones who weren't, you just gotta be pickier with who you get into a LTR with.
/r/seduction29/06/22 11:38 PM

You're wrong, if the attractiveness differential was so great they looked down on their bf they wouldn't end up in a relationship and be in love. These girls OP is dating are just bimbos, and it's his fault for not having higher standards.

Yup that was my experience as well, in fact if a girl made it to the 3rd date with me it was very likely we would have sex and she would want a relationship later on. I think what you're missing is most men do get filtered out by the 2nd date and for her to be still showing up for the 3rd date she usually has to be pretty invested & attracted to you.
/r/seduction28/06/22 06:05 AM

It is, women want to find a man that they think is a confident hero, not a loser. If you don't believe in yourself then that means she might feel like she has to take care of you like a child, and taking care of children is not sexy. In your example, she was coming onto him and if he thinks he's a 3 then that makes her a 3 or lower which makes her look bad, and that's another angle to it, you self depricating in public makes both of you look bad by implication that she chose you. You should unle…

Most girls I do have sex with are expecting a relationship. Let's start with the fact that tallness is super important to male attractiveness and 6'0+ is the beauty standard but even taller is better. Only 15% of men are 6'0+ and 70% of men are overweight so only 4.5% of men have a chance at being "attractive". Just being an 8/10 in face would put you in the top 1% of men and this isn't even considering if they go to the gym and have some muscle mass. Attractive men are rare by nature.

I would argue she picked the best dude she could find at the time in a hypergamous way. She might have had options with guys who she's more attracted to or guys who she vibed with better but she also has to factor in lifestyle & financial stability and she might end up with a totally different guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/22 10:51 PM

Women are hypergamous about choosing a mate, but once she's invested women tend to be pretty loyal. I would say trading up is something men are more notorious for once her looks fade. Red pill ideology is helpful in small doses, but don't let those findings cloud your enjoyment of relationships, that's totally not the point.

I think what you're advocating is good, often in dating being polarizing is smart because it only needs to work well on a few people to get good results, but I think you just underestimate how picky women are. Women are like 10-20x more picky than men, if men were as picky almost no one would find a partner. I would argue biologically men aren't supposed to be that picky because women do the picking, its just how we are wired. Men aren't bad at dating, it's a marketplace, I would guess the probl…

I think attraction is more about would you sleep with them, not about whether you want a relationship with them. Those things are pretty tightly coupled for women but not for men.
/r/seduction07/06/22 07:33 PM

Your attraction is stable because it's mostly about her physical appearance and somewhat of her personality which isn't going to change much. Her attraction is like 50/50 your physical looks/personality and the other 50% is your masculine behaviors. If she sees your behaviors as unattractive she can lose all interest in you, like she cannot make herself attracted to you even if she wanted to, sometimes women will describe this as the "ick". Women also just have a more complex attraction that bui…

Women's fear is biological and social media can give people incorrect perceptions, most people don't understand that it's safer now than ever before. Yeah that's not true, status cuts through anything. Danny Devito looks like a troll but if he wanted he could have a line of women giving him BJ's, not because he's rich just because of his status. Obviously being world famous is going to work but just being the most popular person in your "tribe" is enough for some women.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/22 01:14 AM
2

You just need to show off that you're a good leader. Even a guy who runs a big volunteer group will eventually get some admirers if he's really good at it and shows off his masculinity.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/22 12:27 AM
5

I agree, most women have a physical minimum standard but there are some women who have a very low threshold if the guy has a lot of status combined with the right behaviors
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/22 12:14 AM
2

Yeah if you're ugly and short enough you would need to make up for it in status and that's not going to happen in one night at a club. If a short bold guy was a CEO at a company he might eventually have enough clout to land a woman who's been admiring his masculine behaviors.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/22 12:11 AM

Yeah women also value physical attraction as well, and it might be enough to risk going on a date with a guy out of their league. Women absolutely give physically attractive men way more chances to succeed. She might think that he's better in person or just overlook the negativity due to the halo effect. Some women also might be into the fact he's so polarizing, most men are boring, even negative emotions can get women invested. I think you're assuming that I meant women are attracted to "virtuo…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/22 12:10 AM

Where did I say that women are virtuous by default? Women are afraid of dangerous men by default. A man who berates a service worker is off putting to women because she's worried he'll treat her, or her children, like that one day.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/22 12:00 AM
4

It depends. If a guy is just being a dick to service people that's pretty bad, and he will turn off most women unless they also have no respect for service workers. Being an asshole can work out because it demonstrates masculinity which is way better than being a "nice guy". The takeaway is that masculine behaviors are attractive to women even if they are mixed up with being an asshole, just like a hot girl can be a brat but men still work hard trying to get her into bed. Again read the book "Mo…

I think you're dead wrong, I feel no additional attraction to a woman for being confident, not even for being kind. To me this is a common fallacy of men projecting their attraction onto women. Behaviors are a very minor part of men's attraction towards women but it's like 50/50 for women. Women see a guy who is actually confident, has his life together, he's a leader, he's willing to call anyone out, etc. And some women will feel attraction even if he's 5'0 and bolding. A lot of men are being themselves and not getting any likes on OLD or they are never getting a 2nd date, they are failing by just being themselves. This is because men do not have inherent value when dating, men need to show off good qualities and do work to get female attention, its not enough to just be a normal man. So yeah the altern…

Women can date outside their league, and it's human to aim high and be ambitious, it's not morally wrong. I think the give and take is that men out of a women's league will sleep with them but they won't commit. Then women complain that men are always playing games and won't commit and that's the problem. If women are okay with the low probability of commitment then they are welcome to shoot for the stars.

Being good at being social is crucial to being good at dating. If you're too nervous before you talk to someone then just take deep breaths until you're ready, but you do have to push yourself to do the uncomfortable thing. If you do anything enough you'll get desensitized to it and the nervousness will fade.

Could be A or B or both. I think if you're pretty used to dating it's going to be B most of the time, but if you're inexperienced it's going to be A most of the time. If you're experienced you'll make the right moves and usually have sex by the 3rd date and if you don't it's because she's holding back, and good reason for her to hold back is her being unsure about you.

Most girls would assume you weren't interested in them sexually if you took 6 months to escalate to sex. They might assume you're gay, inexperienced, or not attracted but they all would lead to her feeling rejected and then rejecting you. Even just 1 date where sex could happen and not going for it could be your final date with her. As a guy you should always be leading things forward in a fun way she'll enjoy but respect her boundaries as you discover them.

You're right, women are like cats. Women will show high interest and then disappear, like a cat, and they need space to develop feelings for you. For women masculine behavior is as important as physical attractiveness. If a man acts in ways that isn't masculine or they act needy then a woman's interest could wane completely in just one bad text. You should think of it as whether or not women treat men with respect. I think early on in dating women can be pretty frustrating with how often they ghost, it makes sense that they can't decline every guy they match with but like if a guy doesn't set up a date correctly they can expect 50%+ of women to ghost instead of asking you a basic question about logistics. Na you're just overestimating how important physical looks are to women because you assume women think like men. Somethings matter a lot to women like not being fat, being tall, being well groomed, looking fashionable, but not surgery. Women like older men because they are more mature, they have more resources, more experiences, and they're typically more masculine and that outweighs the loss in physical appearance for men on average.

A lot of good answers here but when it comes down to it video games are just not masculine to a lot of women. They consider it childish at worst and a useless distraction at best. So many reasons, women are usually single by choice, they can have sex more reliably but also tend to have a lower sex drive, women can touch friends without it being sexual or weird, and women tend to have better support networks. I think you should talk to your doctor first but assuming you're normal then you should act normal at first when dating someone new. Early on you should make an effort to try to have sex with her, it's the man's job to escalate and leads things to a fun sexual relationship and if you don't perform your role she may assume you aren't attracted to her. After you have sex with a women then you should talk about how often you like having sex and hope you guys match. If you don't match then you shoul…

I don't really have issues with dating women, I was successful until I got into a relationship. I'm in a male dominated profession - programming, which didn't help I just had to work at it in other ways.

It is relative but I just don't think that women would expect 1/10 to be good. Not all women are aware of how much men strike and miss, if women look at their own experiences they probably strike way less and hit way more than 1/10. She would have to have guy friends and see them struggle at dating to see how relative it is. I think 1/10 matches turning into dates is a decent conversion for a guy. 1/10 of matches turning into partners would probably require a guy to be very top tier attractive.

I wouldn't recommend being drunk and having no filter. You should make an assumption about her that leads towards conversation you want to have. You're not trying to be negative towards her, think of it more like you're cold reading her like how astrology does things. Girls won't often be offended if you're socially calibrated but even if they do it's easier to turn strong negative emotions into a memorable interaction then a boring interaction into something.
/r/seduction06/05/22 02:22 PM

If you really can't think of anything just make up an assumption about her, "You look like a girl who only drinks whisky neat" which is probably wrong but she'll ask you why you said that and correct you on what she does like to drink and it lends itself to more conversation. If you got it right she'll think you're some sort of Sherlock and be impressed and you just keep making assumptions.

Sex therapy, going to a doctor to get your testerone checked, take small doses of Cialis, meditation are all possible solutions It's probably from your mind psyching yourself out. You don't want to go soft but you're worrying about it so much consciously or unconsciously that you cut off the blood supply and your anxiety wins. I have the same problem and I've tried every solution but for me the answer so far is just taking small doses of Cialis.

It's hard to say, most men don't have the option to casually date. Maybe looking at the promiscuous of the gay men community is more of a demonstration of how would men act if they could casually date as much as they want. Looking at these 2 data sets it seems like gay men have twice as many average partners, so maybe a way to look at it is straight men on average would be twice as promiscuous if they had options. https://relationshipsinamerica.com/relationships-and-sex/how-many-people-have-amer…

Why lie to an anonymous survey? How could we ever know how many people cheat if you don't trust surveys? You have a very conspiratorial mindset, and it seems like you really don't like women so I don't think any evidence will convince you otherwise. Studies are the only evidence, most other things are just guesswork. I agree that the top 20% of men reliably get sex but the bottom 80% dont die virgins. If the bottom 80% are oppurtunistic and without morals they will find women who are dtf from time to time. What you're missing is that very few women want to be promiscuous. Women have options, but they aren't interested in them. The majority of women have no interest in random hook ups or sleeping with multiple men. 90% of women really want c…

Men cheat more, every study shows this. It makes intuitive sense, men cheat for oppurtunistic sex most of the time whereas women aren't often that interested in that.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/22 05:49 PM
1

Yeah I basically wanted to say this, women don't really need to figure out attraction or stress about it. Most women have a hard time pinpointing exactly what makes a guy attractive and they don't need to figure it out because dating isnt a serious problem for most women, women even look bad if they "try too hard" at dating. Women just need to be healthy, open to men's advances, and filter out the wrong men and they probably will end up in a happy relationship.
/r/seduction27/04/22 08:08 PM
16

I assume he meant that men usually cheat because they are oppurtunistic for easy sex, they may love their gf and there might be no problems in their relationship, it was just about sexual gratification. Women usually cheat usually because the relationship isn't fulfilling and they at least partially want to be with someone else. So men cheat more for sex and when women cheat it cuts a lot deeper.

I think it depends on context, like if a man's mother died then it would be weird to not show emotion. But if a man is sobbing and having a small breakdown because he had a rough day and he does that once a month a lot of women would see that as weakness and lose some respect for him. Most women don't want another child to take care of, they want a man who can take care of them. Everyone settles, statistically you're going to marry someone who lives a few dozen miles from where you live and you have no way of knowing if you have a great partner, all you can know is that they are a good enough partner. I think women settle less, and can be more picky very easily because they have an abundance of options, which I'm envious of. Any individual can be as picky as they want or settle, but if they are frustrated then it's good to set realistic expectations for them.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/22 10:04 PM

I don't need advice, I just don't like seeing bad advice encouraging men to be as picky as women when that's not realistic, men would become incels. Men need to learn to settle, a good rule of thumb is to pick 3 things you won't compromise on but almost everything else needs to be fluid. Men can't just decide, "I'm going to marry a doctor" because he may never meet a doctor mutually interested in him unless he's also a doctor, but women can do this. I'm sure he says so, I would if I were him.

People are just following their evolutionary mating goals, you cant put moral judgement on it if they aren't hurting anyone which is why women who are upfront and honest are pretty much blameless. Men often don't do that because it's hard without abundance but we should be like that as well, that's why men spend billions of dollars to date better and women just try to be themselves lol.

I think the distrust comes from the big disconnect between what women say they like and want and what they actually go for when no one is watching. A lot of the generic dating advice for men doesn't work and a lot of women will virtue signal instead of giving the real dating advice men need to hear. Rather than struggling to get a date with a cute guy, they are struggling to get invited into an exclusive party or get onto an exclusive dating app, etc. Obviously a lot of women don't care to do that but it would be the same challenge as a guy trying to get a date with a cute girl. If you weren't gifted biologically then you have to make up for it by putting effort into…

I think you can find nice fashionable watches for like 100-200$ so an apple watch is actually pricier. I'm not a fashion guru but my intuition is that Apple Watch is okay for casual outings so it's on par with an athletic watch, but on a date or anything fancier it should be a fashionable watch IMO.
/r/seduction20/01/22 04:50 AM

No one is saying you need to wear watches, what I'm saying is you can't go wrong with a well styled watch, like almost any man will look better with the right watch. Watches look good on men making them look more masculine or successful and female opinions are a good barometer for what is working fashion wise.

In the right setting it's fine, but with your outfit you would be better with all white shoes or just typical canvas shoes. Those shoes look like athletic sneakers so if you were in at leisure clothes or you had a street style outfit it could work but instead you're wearing cargo pants which conflicts to me, cargo pants would be tough to pull off in general.

Women are more attracted to men who are vetted by other women, and that attraction could lead to jealousy. Women would rather keep you as her orbiter.

Without context, I would wait 24hrs just to see if she gets back to you anyways then text her like it's a new conversation and lead things towards a date. In the future be goal oriented, don't ever send 1 word texts, take your time texting her if you aren't in the mood but you do need to text back within 24hrs or she might lose interest. Have a plan for moving things along to a date with every text, and once a date is planned you don't need to text.
/r/seduction16/01/22 09:08 PM

It's okay to send 2 texts at the same time. Double texting is when you send a text, don't get a response, and then send more texts in desperation. Oftentimes it happens within an hour or a few hours. It's okay to text her again after 24-48 hours if you're clever about it, but you have to acknowledge she didn't text you.

I think part of the disconnect is with dieting, makeup, grooming, and stylish clothes I feel like almost all women can be very physically attractive, but a lot of physical male attractiveness comes down to height and facial features, so biology dominates effort. Style is easier for men than women, but developing muscles is way harder than just being skinny. I feel like being a very attractive man requires biology and a significant amount of perseverance but I feel like being attractive as a woma…

Women evolved to look for men that will make child rearing easier, a man who needs to be coddled will feel like an extra child she has to take care of, and that won't ever feel "sexy" to her. Also most women don't mind being supportive in specific scenarios to their long term partners, but she'll doubt your masculinity if she thinks you're insecure often.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/22 03:17 PM

I think women are talking about the cases where the insecurities were obvious early on. A lot of men can hide most of their insecurities, and women prefer that trait over guys who show weakness, so they will pick men who can hide them well. It's not the end of the world to have some insecurities but if you show too much too soon she'll assume it's all downhill from there. If you live an interesting life then you'll have a lot to talk about and people will naturally want to know more. The first step is don't say no to new experiences & being social. She still may not be attracted to you because you aren't tall enough or good looking enough. I think everyone wants those qualities in men but in America thanks to OLD women can be extremely picky and it can take months of dating to see if a man really has those qualities. There's nothing wrong with women having preferences but when you see a 5'2 woman saying she won't date a guy who isn't 6'2 you know that some women take being picky to the extreme.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/22 04:21 PM

This isn't a new trend, most women are attracted to taller guys. There was a hashtag a while ago about girls asking if a guy is hot or just tall, so girls very directly tie this to physical attraction, but women are attracted to many different facets like lifestyle or masculinity, etc. Every woman has her own height preference, you just need to be taller than her and you probably have a chance. Being shorter makes dating harder but not impossible.

You're totally right that men can potentially reach that place in their 20s but they just don't usually make it there until their late 30s. It takes time to build social skills, get your life together, build up a career, get your own place, etc. Millennials are also having a rough time financially so you might actually see this graph push outwards in the next 20+ years. In theory men could hit these break points sooner and the peak age could go down, but that's not how it is in 2022, and that's …

Male attraction to females is almost entirely physical so women peaking at 20 does make sense but it's not the same for women, they use a ton of different criteria to determine the attractiveness of men. If all you want to talk about is physical peak then sure men peak in their 20s but I think everyone else wants to talk about peak attractiveness, and for men that's probably late 30s.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/22 05:33 PM

The data tells us that women care more about the maturity and lifestyle improvements men make in their late 30s than raw looks. SMV has a ton of room for lifestyle, maturity, charisma, grooming, fashion, etc. Women are attracted to what they are attracted to, and we just need to follow the data. Also cougars just aren't that common statistically, women usually prefer to date men older than themselves and men prefer to date women younger than themselves. It totally happens but it's not the norm.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/22 08:17 AM

Yeah guys probably don't look physically hotter as they age, but women are attracted to many other facets about men. As men's looks fade into their 30s and 40s they can get much better grooming, success in their careers, attractive lifestyles, better social skills, maturity, more masculinity etc. Which outweighs looks for most women. Older men don't look physically hotter as they age but they do become more attractive to most women.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/22 07:52 AM

Women are attracted to more than just looks. Men in their late thirties+ are more likely to have careers, maturity, attractive lifestyles, better fashion, better grooming etc. Also if a guy takes care of himself he can look fine in his 30s and 40s, men can age very gracefully. Looks matter but they are only 1 facet for women. I know that's hard for guys to process since looks are the most important part for us but women are attracted to many different facets.

It just means that the bottom 80% of men are desperate and get into and stay in relationships they aren't happy with. You need to have an abundance mindset to pick a good mate and that's not going to happen if you get a chance at a gf once a year.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/22 05:10 PM

Only the top 20% of men are slaying it and sleep with most women, and I bet the majority of them are on the taller end of the spectrum. For the other 80% their only hope to get laid is to be in a relationship.

Being taller makes that person perceived as more dominant. It's probably one reason why CEOs are 58% over 6ft when only 15% of the male population is over 6ft. It's not causation but it's something our primitive minds associate with masculinity and dominance in subconscious ways. I'm not sure I agree with OP that height is toxic masculinity at play though, it's just a really frustrating female preference since men can't change their height and being over 6ft is uncommon.

Anecdotally I don't remember a male influencing me to be more masculine after middle school. Since then I've pushed myself to be more masculine because it got me better results with women or my gfs gave me shit for not being masculine enough. If I've adopted any "toxic masculine" traits it's thanks to the women I've dated.

I think the meme is accurate both ways. Everyone has standards and laments when there are usually people who would date them that they aren't interested. Any google search will show you women are outnumbered on OLD, like 4 to 1, so yes there are supply and demand issues for OLD even if women behaved like men. https://thebolditalic.com/the-two-worlds-of-tinder-f1c34e800db4
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/22 12:31 AM

Women are out numbered 4 : 1 most of the time on OLD and they are 10x pickier than men. Women also just have an easier time dating and don't need OLD as much as men do to find sex or relationships, and when they do use OLD they don't need to stay online long. It's a lot of different behaviors making the supply low but it's not some conspiracy.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/22 10:34 PM

I mean attraction feels like it's out of your control as a man, you realize most women aren't interested. You kind of just realize you're invisible until some girl shows interest in you, which might only happen once or twice a year. Obviously as a guy you can approach girls or use OLD but those are hard and a lot of guys just give up and focus on other things.

I feel like in CA it's normal for men to have good fashion, diet, get a nice haircut, but I think the attitude has to be that it was effortless. Being needy doesnt make it impossible to find someone, some women don't mind it, but most women hate it. Another thing to consider is that neediness might be a deal breaker when you first start dating but if it creeped along after a few months of dating a woman she might not break things off, she might just tolerate it. Beyond all that, if the guy has a lot of status, is very charismatic, she's crushing on him, or he's just very physically attractive then she might just not give a fuck and put u…

I think HVM is more about initial attraction and those other qualities are more about making a man a good long term partner. If they think it makes them beta then they are delusional. Those traits are great, after you have strong attraction and solid boundaries. A guy might be beta if he gives all those good qualities away without attraction or without having good boundaries with her first.

In America at least it's the same but far worse, prostitutes avoid cops because cops mostly make their lives worse, even if it involves rape or violence. I'll see if I can Google anything, but it just sounds like they need more regulations on foreigners becoming prostitutes? Of course, there's still a black market for alcohol. I would speculate if there were legal brothels then it would lower the demand for minors because I don't think there's a ton of pedophiles, I assume minors are mostly sex trafficked by pimps due to how easy they are to manipulate.

I mean women would have minimal risk of injury in a brothel, which is how legal prostitution should always be IMO. I don't see any ethical reason why buying sex should be criminalized, just like I don't see any logical reason why it becomes legal again if you add a camera for pornography.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/21 12:57 AM

Underage girls being pressured into it is obviously awful but if we had legal brothels I assume there would be less of a black market for everything, just like how legalizing weed minimizes the black market. I definitely wasn't there either. I struggled with girls, but I still was able to get into relationships. Even in these relationships there were tons of problems and I wasnt as happy as I should have been. Most men would benefit from reading these books, even if they are in a relationship. Some guys are attractive and figure this out on their own because they get lots of opportunities to learn, but if you don't get lots of opportunities then it takes a while. That's why those books are so great …

Men hold out commitment for the best women they can get, men will commit when they think they've met someone who is worth being tied down for. This is the tension between each sexes dating strategy. Also a lot of men struggle to get on first dates, not because they are looking for flings, but because women are picky. A good portion of men suck at dating and just date the first girl who is interested in them every 1-2 years. Most men will commit to any girl that would have sex with. I think the m…

Probably just different definitions of SMV. To me if it's a thing that makes a girl more interested in having sex with you then it's a component of SMV to me, but it's obviously also a component of RMV.

Everytime I've heard talk of SMV, career is one of the factors, what makes you think it isnt? I'm pretty sure if you compared tinder results of the exact same profile but one had doctor and the other had janitor we would see a difference in matches.

Women are just in high demand and low supply for a dozen reasons. I agree it's not women's fault, in fact men would do the same thing if the roles were reversed.

Idk anything about your husband's photos, he might be good looking or got lucky that you fell for him, but it's good for you guys that it worked out. Standing out on OLD can go a long way, but it's hard to do well and vast majority guys I know don't like taking pictures so it's going to be a struggle to show off their personality.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/21 02:25 PM

Female attraction for women is multifaceted, men's behavior is as important as his looks for attraction, and this is partly why men don't need optimize their looks pre-OLD to find attractive partners. Women have always needed maximize their looks if they wanted higher standards. IMO there arent a ton of options to show style or personality as a guy. Sometimes optimal fashion for men is white shoes, nice slacks, white shirt. Men don't wear make up, the only universal accessory is a watch. Men can…

I agree with what you said and I have a gf, but the reality is that younger generations are just socializing less and covid + technology aren't helping. Online dating is going to become even more dominant with time and I do think awareness of how bad it is for men is important to callout as often as possible. I know tons of women who just assume OLD is the same for men as it is for them when the average women is getting about 2.5x as many likes of what a male model gets.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/21 10:20 PM

I agree this isn't data, but there's already tinder dating showing that men swipe 1/2 of the time and women swipe 1/20. Women are picky. This post is just interesting to see that women come to the same conclusion as the data, but don't want to generalize it.

On OLD it takes a lot of effort to even match with women on your level (you need really great pictures, texting skills, etc.). Did you friends meet their wives on OLD? Women have the opposite problem, they can match with guys out of their league but those guys will never commit to them and waste their time. This thread is silly though, the guy in that pic is decently attractive lol.

I feel like there are other celebrities who look great, as good if not better than when they were younger, Brad Pitt, Lenny Kravitz, Keanu Reeves for example. Men don't need to feign looking young to look attractive. When I compare John Clooney to Madonna there is no question who is more attractive. No matter how much plastic surgery or make up Madonna adds it's not hiding anything. A fit 50 yo man can look great, muscle does a great job of covering wrinkles up to some point and gray hair looks great on men. Obviously everyone can be unattractive if they don't take care of themselves but women's ceiling on being attractive gets lower and lower every year after 20, but I feel like it's not as dramatic for men…

I think it's easier for men to retain their attraction as they get older, men age more gracefully than women IMO, but a lot of men do let themselves go, but then again like 75% of Americans are overweight so most are already gone.

You just need to make sure she always respects you. Don't let this other guy make you jealous or insecure, it will only hurt her attraction for you. Instead just be really on the ball with calling her out when she isn't meeting your needs or being respectful. Other men in her past don't matter if she's meeting all your needs & wants. If she cannot meet your needs then you need to push her or be willing to walk.

I know what you mean, but it has a negative connotation. That's the right perspective for women, but most men see casual sex as a very positive thing, like men don't always need a connection or a very strong connection to enjoy sex.

The top 10% of dudes can have causal sex easily enough and make it work no problem. If you're an average guy though I do kind of agree with you that the effort required to have a constant flow of casual sex isn't worth it, it's better to just focus on a relationship. FWB and causal relationships are almost always transient so even when men are making it work they need to be chasing even more women to keep things flowing. It's not some psychological trick like she appears less attractive because she approached me. The girls who are willing to approach are like 2 points less attractive than girls I would approach. I'm in good shape but the girls that approach me are going to be chubby or not taking good care of their body, I would never swipe right on them on Tinder. If the girl was on my level she wouldn't approach me because guys like me approach her often enough as is.

I'd argue husband material are things that aren't attractive, they are neutral. For LTR women want you to have them and most women will require some of them but it doesn't make her want to sleep with you, so it's not about attraction. Most of the time when men are told they are husband material, when they aren't in a relationship, it's the same thing as a girl saying, "You're such a nice guy", but what she might be saying is, "I'm not attracted to you, but some of your attributes are important f…

Do you really think girls actually want chad to simp for them? I know that's a fantasy but I feel like women lose attraction for men who don't respect themselves and aren't selfish in important ways. I don't think it's a giant conspiracy, it's just that pop culture, Hollywood, and media know that the nerdy passive guy getting the girl in the end and the girl making the first move to kiss all sounds wonderful on paper. Every decent male dating coach agrees on masculinity. I see the same story in "No more Mr Nice Guy" that I see in "Models" that I see in "How to be a 3% man". It's about having a purpose, being confident, being very competent at something, going after what you want, being strong mentally & physically, being able to lead, etc. It's pragmatic that being assertive gets you to meet more women but it also attracts those women more that you have balls. They are definitely correlated but my argument is that being introverted isnt unattractive for women it's being passive & shy that is the actual unattractive traits and it's unattractive because it isn't masculine. A women could date you for months and have no idea if you're introverted or extraverted if she didn't ask you explicitly, but a women probably can tell within 5 minutes of meeting you if you're passive.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/21 06:11 PM

Introversion means that socializing drains you, but it doesn't mean you are incapable of doing it or you avoid it. Being introverted isnt the problem, it's being shy & passive. Being passive isn't masculine and that's why those men are struggling extra hard vs Feminity which is about being passive and letting the man lead. If the man isn't good at leading then he's probably never going to date consistently.

It's almost always being a leader, being really good at something, and/or having excellent social/storytelling skills. What are we supposed to teach boys though? Like obviously men should feel more free to express their emotions, that would be good for sure, but on the other hand if I don't teach my theoretical son to heavily control his emotions I legitimately don't know he would attract women down the road, women aren't attracted to men who spill their emotions constantly. Maybe a middleground is to teach boys to express their emotions to family, close friends, and therapists?

All this might be true to come extent but women also have a lower sex drive in a relationship over time and also if there isn't new and exciting things happening in the bedroom. It feels like long-term monogamous relationships are difficult to maintain that sexual excitement.

This the funny answer and first thing I thought of but honestly being more attractive does make approaching better. Being well groomed, having better fashion, being in good shape, and good hygiene improves initial impressions with anyone due to the halo effect so everyone who wants to talk to strangers should be optimizing ways to be attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/21 06:12 PM

That's true in the west, but you can totally date girls 25-35 who are attractive. The reality is that girls peak at 18-20 and they are in high demand, and the only people dating the really attractive ones are going to be top guys who are young enough to date them, and that excludes most men no matter what.

I mean guys peak at 35 in overall attractiveness to women so it's more of a myth that your 20s are going to be awesome for casual sex. Again the top 3% dudes and older men who have their shit together are still dominating the dating market even when you're a 20 yo guy, that's probably when dating is actually hardest. In my experience dating women who are 23-26 like 95% of them want serious relationships and maybe like 25% of them are also okay with something casual for a little while. I've met 2…

I think it's it's more like, unless you're that top 3% of guys who gets female attention effortlessly then you would probably be happier by just finding a high value women and getting out of the dating market ASAP. The temptation to stay in the dating market to sleep with a lot of women just isn't worthwhile for most men is what Alex is arguing. But everyone's different, if the effort and payoff seem worth it then ignore Alex's advice.

I think his point is that most men have no chance of being as successful as they want to be with casual dating so it's better to just find a high quality women and get off the dating market ASAP. He never said average men never have casual sex, but their results will never compare to top tier men or even average women and it'll probably be a disappointing process for most men.

Men flirting and hitting on women requires them to be active bad partners who should be dumped, women could do nothing wrong and be swimming in male attention. It's not women's fault at all but men have to go out of their way to make healthy women feel insecure, but vice versa isn't as simple IMO.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/21 07:01 AM

I don't think women avoid things to not be creepy, there's just no need to hit on guys, men come if they are interested, being passive works just fine. I think OP's point is that women don't even know how nice it is to know that women aren't often hitting on men.

Women care about masculinity about as much as they care about looks, both are important. Women aren't lying when they say a pretty boy can ruin his chances by opening his mouth. That being said the more physically attractive a guy is the more mistakes he can get away with.

Most men don't want to perv on their family members, and most men are bad at pursuing women. They just wait for some women to show high interest and get into a relationship with her every couple of years. L The top 10% of guys do have tons of options and do sleep with tons of different women because their choices arent just celibacy or a relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/21 12:28 AM

I think you're somewhat right, if the girl actually met the guy and got to know him a bit but if a girl stumbled upon an average guys OLD profile he would get left swiped by 80%+ of women.

Women rate men in their late 30s at peak attractiveness. This is because females attraction is only partially based on physical attraction and the other factors usually bloom for most men by their late 30s. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theatlantic.com/amp/article/567083/ For what it's worth men rate women peaking at about 20 because it is mostly based on physical attraction.

She may have felt like you didn't have enough in common or her Exbf reconnected with her or she realized she wasn't ready to date.
