I generally dont like being labeled at all, even positive labels. It means that people will compartmentalize me a certain way and not think about me as having nuanced or varied opinions. But that's just me and it's probably unrealistic. Thanks for your time!

Given the info you've layed out, do you have any suggestions regarding how to go about advocating for mens rights without falling into the feminist trap or being labeled a mysogynistic MRA?

I totally agree with you about that but I'm just trying to establish that sharia law is regressive in how it handles the issues that it concerns itself with.

Alright, care to point me in the direction of the nuance you're talking about? From my perspective sharia law seems incredibly explicit and well agreed upon in execution around the world.

Scroll down in the article, it cites a statistic of 23% of muslims being in favour of sharia law in the UK. Also, I definitely agree that christianity is regressive but Im talking about islam.

The way that study was more than likely conducted was in the form of a survey so in this case the interpretation would have been up to those taking the survey. Edit: So I guess instead of debating my point normally you strawmanned me as some alt-right prick. I dont care what sharia law reminds them of, sharia law is explicitly the code of law that would have my hands caught off for stealing a loaf of bread.

Yeah, did you see that post on /r/marchagainsttrump? "Im a conservative republican" "I hate people too" That thread bothered me way more than it should have.

I think it's semi-reasonable when large portions of members of that particular religion are in favor of things like sharia law. This is even true in first world countries .

While they probably deserve it, I would not stoop that low. Public shaming is something that we decry feminists for doing and I would hate to see anyone stoop to that level.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
