What if he doesn't want custody? That's the point I'm trying to get to. You are saying it forces joint custody in most cases, some men (and women) don't want to have custody, they simply don't want a child. Again, if he doesn't have custody but decides 8 years into the child's life he does, what happens then? He just gets to appear whenever he wants and gets joint custody?

So what happens if the father for example hasn't been awarded partial custody for a relevant reason? He should be expected to pay child support still. P.s I only use father as an example because the author of this post is a male and he applies to it.

If you are so bothered by phrasing that SOME women use stick to men then or better off stay alone.

Why are you generalizing women?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
