| 0 | Men and Women Protest Male Genital Mutilation - SeattleDo you even know what you're even talking about any more? What is this even in response to? | /r/MensRights | 30/08/16 10:58 PM |
| 0 | Men and Women Protest Male Genital Mutilation - SeattleDo you think if you add the word nice to a false statement it'll make it true? Great way to win someone over to your side of an argument. | /r/MensRights | 29/08/16 09:32 PM |
| 0 | Men and Women Protest Male Genital Mutilation - SeattleYet that still ignores all the other medical info and advice being provided by doctors. Life isn't as black and white as some people make it out to be. We gotta remember to be open minded when people fall in that gray zone and help each other out. If new medical studies come out I'll adjust my viewpoint but for now I support both sides based on current studies and experiences. Good luck in your quest. I wish you the best! | /r/MensRights | 29/08/16 03:46 AM |
| 1 | Men and Women Protest Male Genital Mutilation - SeattleWhat? Why would I push that on girls and what does that even mean? That's a pretty big stretch and there's nothing funny about it. What is it with you anti circumcision people and automatically using that as an argument when you run out of points to make? But hey it's easier to ignore all the other medical info out there and points I made and just slander someone because they have a difference in opinions. Which is exactly what my first comment was about. | /r/MensRights | 29/08/16 03:36 AM |
| 1 | Men and Women Protest Male Genital Mutilation - SeattleNo. I'm an adult who can make a moral decision based on facts and information. There are plenty of times in history where things that were legal then and are not now we're not supported by everyone at the time. Com'n man, now you're just playing the "what if" game to use in your arguments and completely ignoring any facts that are brought up. It's clear you're not interested in having a real discussion on the matter. And to be honest I'm not trying to change your opinion on circumcision. What I'… | /r/MensRights | 29/08/16 03:25 AM |
| -1 | Men and Women Protest Male Genital Mutilation - SeattleWell you can't see how I can be against it if you only care about your point of view without providing or ignoring any facts. I've already stated how they are different but you don't care about that. There's also plenty of medical data that says otherwise. It's your opinion to be against circumcision and I support your decision but you don't see me making any shitty comparisons to your viewpoint or lying about your character and saying you support something you don't. | /r/MensRights | 29/08/16 03:12 AM |
| 0 | Men and Women Protest Male Genital Mutilation - SeattleWow dude. Never did I say the AAP was pro circumcision. Also did you read those links? For example, this was in the first links you provided from the AAP: "Evaluation of current evidence indicates that the health benefits of newborn male circumcision outweigh the risks, and the benefits of newborn male circumcision justify access to this procedure for those families who choose it." "Parents are entitled to factually correct, nonbiased information about circumcision that should be provided before… | /r/MensRights | 29/08/16 03:01 AM |
| 1 | Men and Women Protest Male Genital Mutilation - SeattleWhy do I have to ok with that? Do you not know the difference or is that the best argument you can come up with? You know female circumcision is illegal compared to male circumcision which is legal right? There's also a big difference between procedures and risks. But you probably don't really care about that. It's funny cause you quoted my comment that has nothing to do with daughters in Egypt. But it's easier to cherry pick certain parts of my comment without addressing the rest then proceed t… | /r/MensRights | 29/08/16 02:31 AM |
| -3 | Men and Women Protest Male Genital Mutilation - SeattleNo, I don't have to be for female genital cutting because I'm ok with people who chose to have their child circumcised. Seriously, is that the best argument you can come up with? Once again you can't handle a difference in opinion so why not just make shit up right? Do you even know the difference between the two processes? Probably the biggest difference between male and female circumcision is how much more tissue, how much more genitalia, is removed during a typical female circumcision. Someti… | /r/MensRights | 29/08/16 02:21 AM |
| -4 | Men and Women Protest Male Genital Mutilation - SeattleNo, it is not literally carving an opinion on someone. Do you have any links to any non biased medical sites or studies? Maybe one without an agenda they're trying to push. Do you expect me to just take the opinion of a site that is strictly made to help your argument. There are sites like this for anti-vaccination but it doesn't mean they're accurate. You also seem to keep missing the point that some men are ok with it. These protesters should stop claiming to speak for ALL men. You guys don't … | /r/MensRights | 29/08/16 12:14 AM |
| 0 | Men and Women Protest Male Genital Mutilation - SeattleDude, that says it's an adult male foreskin not a baby's. 2nd, if you want to say it's a large chunk shouldn't you post an image of the removed foreskin vs the actual size of the penis? Or post a reference that gives a % or actual number of removed skin compared to actual skin? Also, if you read my comment, I'm supportive of both measures as long as the parents have all the right info before making a decision. What I'm against is people who would rather force their opinion on someone and insult … | /r/MensRights | 28/08/16 10:28 PM |
| 0 | Men and Women Protest Male Genital Mutilation - SeattleSeriously, was a google search too hard? A "large chunk" really? Here's some info from the Mayo Clinic site: The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) says the benefits of circumcision outweigh the risks. However, the AAP doesn't recommend routine circumcision for all male newborns. The AAP leaves the circumcision decision up to parents — and supports use of anesthetics for infants who have the procedure. Circumcision might have various health benefits, including: Easier hygiene. Circumcision mak… | /r/MensRights | 28/08/16 09:27 PM |
| -5 | Men and Women Protest Male Genital Mutilation - SeattleThe problem I have with the guy's comments: "..opponents are saying that there are men who are happy being circumcised, which is absolutely ludicrous..." "men are being manipulated into even saying this.." "they don't know what a circumcision is..." I think it's insulting to men to say we can't be ok with being circumcised or are too stupid to know better. I totally support men who decided to have their son's circumcised or not. There's a lot of information out there that everyone should read an… | /r/MensRights | 28/08/16 05:51 PM |
