It's because BMI is literally just height compared to weight. In China, they have a different BMI scale because Eastern-Asians are build differently than Caucasians and they found that using Caucasian standards was giving them incorrect results for medical purposes. This is also the reason that statistics show blacks as being more obese than whites in America. Black people tend to have larger asses and denser bones than white people. This means that a black person will typically weigh more than …

It shows immaturity and insecurity on the SJW's part. They are the people who consider flirting to be cheating, insist on their SOs being clingy, and then complain when they actually are clingy. Mature adults understand that being in a committed relationship doesn't immediately erase the personality that attracted them in the first place and that other people will likely find your partner attractive. They also understand that people can be faithful and still develop crushes on other people. For …

Discussion on reddit is typically done on reddit, not in a video. But I guess you feel like you can't admit "this is actually to make money and sell you something" and still make money and sell us something.

I thought the question was how to avoid getting a bad reputation, not how to seduce women. If your interest is to have sex with many women, then they will probably talk about it. While there are ways to manipulate the situation in your favor and be viewed as desirable rather than sleazy, it's mostly luck since you can't control what's said about you behind closed doors, nor can you guarantee everyone will respond positively to your approach. Living in a big city gives you a good amount of anonym…

You mean the punch from her, right? That was also a sucker punch and is the one responsible for the following events.

Especially in comparison to the actual tears of the guy she punched. Seeing the blood from his nose and the tears in his eyes, she probably sucker punched him square in the face. You don't take that much damage if you know the punch is coming. So, he sucker punched her back. His retaliation was justified in my eyes.

The thread mentioned both the kind of woman you'd want to be with and the kind that you wouldn't. It doesn't assume that all women are worth the effort, just like it states that not all men are worth the effort to women (the "nice guys"). The point was to say that "nice guys" attract "bad women" and repel "good women." It's up to you how you interpret that.

The need for validation beyond the validation that you already have is sign of a self-esteem issue. Shake that shit off and don't change a thing.

I agree with this statement. Deciding not to spend time with someone because that person doesn't initiate the interaction shows a lack of self-esteem. It's also petty. If the person doesn't reject your invitations or stand you up, then they enjoy your company. This applies to platonic friendships, as well.

Then say that. A comment that says, "OP has provided some great advice. Be sure to take this advice with a grain of salt, though. This is great advice, but there is a lot more to it and it's important that you keep practicing and internalizing these ideas," is constructive and useful.

When you're in school, you raise your hand to answer a question and you get it wrong, the embarrassment will be the driving force that prevents you from getting that answer incorrect in the future. But, if you never make it known that this idea is in your head in the first place, it will stay there. If you think saying something over-the-top is a good idea, say it. You'll know whether it was or wasn't soon enough. And you'll improve who you are for doing it.

And you are right. Women do believe this. This is where it gets tricky. If you DON'T commit to any sort of relationship -- you don't call, you don't text, and you don't initiate any sort of contact -- that's when their belief comes into play. You know why? Women don't believe that you should somehow commit to them because it makes you a "good guy." It's because the fact that you wouldn't insults them. Let's take a step back. What do women want more than anything else in the world? They want what…

Same, but our approach might be different. I start with an "accidental" touch to test the waters and then slowly glide my fingers across their thigh until I'm palming it. But I've always felt it to be timid (it works, but it always feels timid). What do you do? EDIT: Note that I do movie theater instead of home, so it's probably less comfortable. I'm also well known by the concession staff, one of which recently complimented me on having a "sexy voice" in front of my date, last weekend. I like t…

That's beauty of it. If they flake for an honest reason, they'll most likely try to make it up to you. Trust me, never chase a flake. If you have an honest excuse not to meet with someone that you really want to meet with, you make efforts to meet with them another time, right? In this respect, men and women aren't so different.

I don't disagree with that. Like I said, on the surface, it should look exactly the same. I disagree that the purpose is the same, though. Teasing creates an air of friendship and familiarity. But negging is about perceived value.

You caught that part, but not the first sentence? The only reason you think it's impossible is because you think it's impossible to get the desired results. Nothing about speaking to another person is hard. The hard part is not embarrassing yourself. There are 7 billion people on the planet. The chances of running into the same stranger twice are fairly low. And by the time you do run into her again, you'll already be confident enough to give it another shot. Not to mention you'll be able to use…

Your problem is that you think the only way it's worth it to approach someone is if you are 100% sure that you will get what you want out of the interaction. This is why people are afraid of talking to strangers. "You may feel a slight sting. That's pride fucking with you. Fuck pride. Pride only hurts. It never helps. You fight through that shit." ~ Marcellus Seriously, you don't have to be a show off. You don't have to be a master. All you have to do is do. Go up to an attractive girl, say hell…

Exactly. True confidence comes from feeling proficient. You can't feel proficient at something you don't do. You can't be good at doing anything unless you start doing it and keep doing it. Practice makes perfect.

"Fake it 'til you make it" is a fairly common motto around here. When dealing with people who don't know you, it's all about appearance. If you appear confident, smart, funny, or sexy even when you generally aren't, people still perceive you that way. Confidence is a great example of something you can fake and gain at the same time. When I was in high school and learned of the PUA community, it was a lot to take in. I looked for simple, easy-to-use techniques. One that seemed easy enough was "fa…

I'm sorry if I assume to much, but your comment makes me question what you are saying. Do you actually sleep with these 9s and 4s? I feel like you may be making it much harder on yourself. The reason we neg 9s and 10s is to be different. The reason we compliment 6s and 7s is to be different. I would never consider approaching a girl lower that a 6 unless the purpose was not sexual and find it very strange that you would. The point of being different is social proof. The main idea behind being "a…

That depends if you also consider that not only are many of the actual words part of the "script," but so is the majority of the progression from opening to close. He has a plan from start to finish and follows every step of it. That said, the "script" has wiggle room as it is based on milestones rather than timing. So, if a particular milestone takes longer or shorter to reach than anticipated, you can extend the current step with improvisation or skip to the next step. This is what speed seduc…

Ain't that the truth. I've had 4 girls from elementary school find me on Facebook and message me, telling me that they used to have a crush on me back then. They are no longer thin. As a black guy, I don't know whether I should be offended that chubby white girls think I will find them attractive.

This is just how social interactions work. There are people that you are friendly with, flirty with, and professional with. You can frame yourself as flirty with close physical contact as early as possible (initial handshake, touching of their shoulders or back when talking) and flirty conversation (assume attraction). Then, you are free to continue doing this throughout the remainder of your relationship because it's expected from you.

That alienation actually makes people want to talk to you. People want to be able to have their own inside jokes with the person that everyone else is joking with. A good place you can see this is in your office. The most popular people in your office have tons of inside jokes with different people.

Jealousy shows insecurity, but not necessarily "crazy." And when it comes to manipulation, we (and I assume you, as well) manipulate women all the time. We do it because we know what we want, and she did what she did because she knew what she wanted. It doesn't make either of us any less sincere about our desires. Not saying that you should like being manipulated or that you can't judge her for acting like a slut (which would be a valid reason to say no), but that you shouldn't judge her simply …

Depends. I used to travel with a wingman so that groups would be easy to disarm. Alone, a group is intimidating but I go in with the objective of having fun, not getting laid. I spread my attention to all of the girls in the group and make them feel like they've known me for a long time by developing inside jokes with them right off the bat. Sometimes, you get the girl you went in for. Sometimes, you get one of the others (which is a failure most of the time since groups normally only have one g…

You misunderstand. "Assume attraction" applies to the girl you are already socializing with, not random strangers on the street you have yet to introduce yourself to. Physical attraction is on-sight. Actual attraction requires contact. The idea of "assuming attraction" is that you should proceed with your interactions as though she is attracted to you. This is to avoid the uncertainty that comes with attempting to read body language or read between the lines. It is also to avoid self-defeating b…

2 out of 3... 67% is barely passing in school. ;) But seriously, what would you do to get her? If she's as amazing as you say she is, don't you think every other guy she meets recognizes this as well? If you want to be with her, you have to stand out as something she wants, not blend in as something she's used to. Oh, and don't watch rom-coms. Most of those are poisonous to your mind.

One-itis is bad because you make the girl out to be more than she really is. Unless she's a scientist, she's probably not as smart as you think she is. Unless she's a model, she's probably not as pretty as you say she is. Unless she's a comedian, she's probably not as funny as you think she is. Connecting with someone regarding their childhood and imagining a future with them is a red flag for an abusive relationship? I don't mean to offend, but you sound like you've had a rough life to assume something that most successful relationships have leads to abuse. It is completely normal to connect on all levels with the person that you are in love with. In fact, it's almost essential if you want your relationship to last. In order to truly understand something, you must know it's past. And …

This is my first time ever stumbling across this subreddit. This is the first post I have ever read on this subreddit. This is the first time I realized how much bullshit we put up with. I've always promoted "equality," but mostly in the form of, "If you are willing to hit me, I am willing to hit you." This puts things in a different light. I'm going to have to do some thinking.

The idea is to make her feel like she already knows you. That you are already friends or more. A PUA once called it time travel. Note that this isn't trickery (though it can be) and is something that we do naturally all the time. We rewind time and inject ourselves into their past by talking about and expressing interest in it. When they think back to it, they will remember that you cared about it. We fast-forward to a future we could have together. They can see us together, whether a few hours …

Don't get me started on the way she treated me in high school. She convinced me not to lose my virginity to prove that I really liked her. She kissed me once and then, the next day, had sex with a guy that she met that day. I asked her to date me five times. Got turned down every time because she "liked being just friends." I've done the same thing, in high school. It helped me move on (she was a one-itis). After that, she stopped talking to me and then a few years later, I told her (on Facebook) that I missed seeing her since she was such a great friend. It was about 11:00PM when she started chatting with me and at about 1:00AM, I invited her to have a bite to eat with me. When she agreed to go, I told her, "And don't wear anything embarrassing. No, this is not true. Appearance can trump personality. In other words, if a guy is physically attractive, they can be a nerd, a jock, a shy guy, or an outgoing guy. Girls will find a way for it to seem "cute" or "hot." But, if that same guy was ugly, fat, or disfigured, he'd be considered "weird" or "an asshole." Not to mention good looks are a great icebreaker. Girls come to you instead of the other way around.

The words have similar meanings but differing connotations. Rather than explaining the difference between the two, it's much more beneficial to tell people that it's bad to be cocky and good to be confident. In the interest of helping others, having short, easy-to-digest statements of wisdom will help them in the long run. There's no use in determining their definition of a word.
