Yes, but empathy isn't an on-off switch. Its a continuous value.

This is like saying "If you're truly empathetic, you should let a homeless person live with you".

Putting on a bit of weight as you get older is normal, healthy, and actually makes people look better, especially for women. Scrawniness doesn't look good with age, makes you look older once you get past 50 or so, and also makes your skin look bad and saggy. I'm not talking about becoming fat or obese, just putting on a few pounds.

There are tonnes of things to legitimately shame Nick Fuentes about, why focus on virginity? Plus, he's almost certainly not a virgin or an incel, given that its pretty widely known that he's gay. With incels in general, the biggest factor is generally that they have no social life, rather than the fact they've never had sex.

I think in general the decision on where to live long-term is a pretty common stumbling block for couples. Generally it only works if either both people have similar ideas of where they'd like to live, or one person has an idea and the other is very easy going and will happily live anywhere. You brought this up as if its connected with hobbies, but I don't think it is, and its much deeper thing than that. As for your example, maybe the woman was feigning interest in outdoors stuff just to spend …

The issue with this is that it goes against the actual origin of Alpha and Beta, which was a hypothetical dichotomy based on the role one was given to in social situations: Alphas are men who are natural leaders, who women naturally defer to, who are principled, who set boundaries and communicate their needs in a firm way, who are looked to for guidance. Betas are men who are natural followers, who women see as companions, who are pragmatic, who don't rock the boat, and who are looked to for sup…

Class is a big divider in England, outside of there, not really. Race is a far bigger divider in the USA than just about anywhere in the world, minus maybe South Africa and Israel. I'd say the reason the "gender war" hasn't taken as much of a hold in Europe is because: The "woke" movement (which seems to be a major factor of the "gender war") hasn't been bought into wholesale in most European countries. Gender roles weren't as strictly delineated in many European countries. The US is unique in t…

Trumps policies around tariffs are realistically going to make life far more painful for working class people, men included, due to the cost of living skyrocketing. Autarky doesn't really work if you allow freedom of movement. The only modern countries pursuing it are North Korea and Cuba, both of which have among the poorest populations in the world. The natural human instinct to your ruler saying "You must buy locally produced products, or I will make life very difficult for you", is to say "O…

Chicken isn't the only meat in existence. Fish, red meat, pork, seafood and dairy are all great protein sources. If all you eat is eggs, you're just gonna stink.

ISIS and the Taliban both emerged as insurgent groups fighting against governments that were oppressing their beliefs. Something like that won't emerge for anti-feminist men under a Trump presidency given that these men aren't the ones being oppressed by him. Now, a Taliban-like organisation for left-leaning women could happen. Something more slightly more likely, but still nearly impossible, to occur could be something like the Red Guard in Mao's China: Like a network of groups of conservative,…

How does she handles the conversation after the date, where she has to explain she isn't interested in seeing him long-term? From what I've seen, for both genders, the longer this is deferred the more upset the person being rejected will be. It reads to me like you're saying "Rather than letting him down lightly, instead feign interest, gaslight him into thinking he has a chance then let him down hard?".

I wouldn't ever date someone who was pro-life, anti-LGBT rights (don't really care about opinions on stuff like trans people in sports or bathrooms, it has zero bearing on my life), or practicing religious. Mostly because this stuff could tangibly affect the relationship: Abortion is self explanatory. I have LGBT friends so if they hated them it wouldn't be a runner. And my family is not religious, and I would refuse to get married in a church, baptise my children, or have my children make sacra…

I think a lot of women want a man who is leaderly, rather than dominant. They want a man who is competent, able to come up with a plan, knows where he is going and is willing to let her tag along, copes well with catastrophe. They don't necessarily want a guy who makes rules for her, bosses her around, forces or coerces her to adopt his ways, etc. In my experience, there is nothing more repulsive to a woman than a man who is dominant but not leaderly.

I agree tbh. Personally I'm pro-choice. But I've always had good women in my life. I have a girlfriend who I love, and to be short about it I would never vote for anything or anyone that would force her to do something against her will. But I can see that if a man doesn't actually have any good relationships with women, there may not be that motivating factor. I'm Irish, and I voted for abortion rights when we had a referendum on it, and a lot of that was influenced by knowing women who had had …

Isn't preventing the passage of people from state-to-state illegal (possibly unconstitutional) in the US? Either way, if the red states spend money on chasing abortion on every front, they're going to collapse.

Seriously. One half of population votes a reality TV star who is a sex offender for president. The women of the other half decide the way to fix this by stopping having sex with their husbands, who likely didn't vote for the president in question anyway.

I would have said the reason is because the Democrats haven't ran a likeable candidate since Obama (look, if I was American I would have voted KH, but very much in a "less smelly of two turds" way), and they've lost touch with the issues their voter base cares about. They had opportunities for change. They could have run Bernie Sanders in 2016, they could have run Andrew Yang in 2020, but they instead went with the corruption queen and a creepy old man. Meanwhile, the Republicans took a gamble o…

Most people view cheating as awful, traumatising and damaging, but also something that if you walk away from it, it won't impact your safety. Most people view domestic violence as awful, traumatising and damaging, and something that you may well not be able to safely leave. Domestic violence often escalates. It might start with slapping someone, but then escalate to using a fist, and then to using weapons. So the idea of a domestic violence situation where the violence is permanently such as not…

Meh, there are some vulnerabilities best kept to yourself. Anything to do with her fidelity, the genuinity of her love for you or your general worth as a human being you should probably be careful of. A lot of men tend to see a woman saying "Why would a man like you love a woman like me?", "I just don't understand what you see in me" etc to be cute, and to reflect positively on his ability to get women and his desirability. However, women to see these questions to reflect negatively on her abili…

There are countries where pre-birth gender confirmation is illegal, because if a couple finds out they're having a girl they will abort. India I believe is like this. Not taking away from how fucked up those twitter posts are, but just confirming your suspicion.

So essentially women are betting on a relative abundance of men who are in their league, career wise, finance wise, and social status wise. They are also betting on the fact that those men would want them instead of a woman younger than them. Thats assuming that the women who intend on starting families at some point are putting off dating until they are ready to start a family. Most of them aren't doing that though. They're dating and building long-term relationships throughout their twenties w…

I think if you are no longer happy in your marriage, you are doing your partner and your kids a disservice long term by staying married. Kids will be more fucked up by having parents who are together but hate each other or are constantly adversarial, than being raised by divorced parents who they get to see both of regularly. Abandoning your kids is an awful thing to do though. Get divorced, but fight for custody.

This advice gets given a lot, and its okayish, but fails to account for two things: Some mothers are narcissistic or emotionally abusive, and men can and do decide to stop associating with them for their own good, and the good of their future wives and kids. (Have a look at r/JustNoMIL, most of the worst stories involve the husband's mother). The stereotype is that a man's mother in law might be a bit of a nag at times, while the woman's mother in law might be an all out tyrant. Many horrible me…

For me, the idea of a dating a shy, homebody woman who just likes reading, crocheting, drinking tea and looking out at the rain sighing sounds really boring. I doubt this kind of woman is going to like going hiking in the mountains, going on holiday to niche paradise islands, climbing up on rooftops, or many of the things you fantacise about doing with your "girl next door" either. Plus, you'll probably be her everything, and she won't have much of a social life. That clinginess is gonna get old…

We also need to normalise "latchkey" childhoods again. IMO helicopter parenting and rigourously structured and supervised leisure and social time for kids has played as mucb of a role in the red pill/incel rise as the internet. Its like realeasong an animal raised in captivity into the wild. Kids build confidence, figure out social dynamics, learn how relationships of all kinds works, by playing and hanging out together with other kids without parents being present. Taking this away for them cri…

Nah, your comment is the reddit take in that it tries to come across smart by conflating two different contextual meanings of a word. Peak r/iamverysmart stuff. Asexual when applied to people literally means exactly what you are describing: Either someone whose libido is so low as to be negligible, or the rare case of someone (nearly always on the autism spectrum) who doesn't crave or enjoy sex. But yes, you are not asexual by that definition either.

Obviously its relative to my specific situation, but so was the comment you made. Only really in the USA are bars considered places you only go to hook up, and even then it seems far from universal. In Ireland if your partner doesn't like you going to bars with friends or family without them in tow, your family start worrying for you.

Personally, I think women having fun together is really wholesome and pure. The way girls goof off with dancing and singing and stuff is really cute. All the videos linked are just girls having fun IMO: Completely normal. Same applies to men having fun together, and to be honest I think men not wanting to girlfriends/wives at every social occasion is out of the interest of preserving the vibe that occurs when its only men present, rather than anything sinisster. You look at the videos of Orthodo…

People often say that one of the biggest reasons incels can have such bizarre ideas about women, is because they simply don't know any women besides their family. Likewise, I think a lot of "breadtube" types, simply don't know many men who identify fully as straight, cisgender men. Hence, they can confidently say masculinity causes this, men cause that, etc. They just haven't got any "classically male" men in their lives. I have good friends who are squatters, I've visited communes, and know peo…

Intersectionality is causing school shootings and causing us to edge towards WW3? You cannot make such a dramatic statement and not provide some insight as to how this is so in your view. If you won't provide more reasoning, I'm afraid I can't help but dismiss your argument as classic histrionics. School shootings are very much an American phenomenon, firstly, not a global one. Honestly, you guys could sort it out by just regulating your gun market a bit better, but you've made it quite clear as…

I don't know how you make the jump from gender and race studies to intersectionality. Gender studies and race studies are, broadly speaking, any study of history, anthropology and sociology as it pertains to gender or race. A lot of the talking points and theories discussed on this very subreddit are within the realm of gender and race studies, so be careful with too zealously supporting ending the discussion of these things in education. Now if we're going to shift the lens and talk about inter…

I mean, Trump already tried putting a stop to gender and race studies, which are the main vector by which the cult is spread It boggles the mind how the Republicans, ostensibly the party of liberty, freedom and a government with limited responsibility, can seriously talk about restricting what can and can't be taught in universities as a solution to anything. When you start going after the universities, you're going full Mao. Similarly, Ron DeSantis trying to get the maths curriculum altered for…

Yeah, women online say it and then other women in that same space claim to have husbands and bfs. Firstly, the women saying these things often aren't the same ones with partners. Secondly, how likely is it that their bfs or husbands, if they exist, know that they post this stuff online or hold these thoughts? Thirdly, how happy and healthy do you think their relationships are? Go over to AskMen, and you'll see tonnes of men talking about how men are inherently worthless, and tonnes of men talkin…

Exactly, and its totally valid to not want to be in a relationship who holds either of these insecurities, as they are both insecurities that can really affect your ability to be a good partner, and to cope with the reality of being in a long-term relationship. There are tonnes of men who are capable of trust, and who believe they as men have inherent value. That is the silent majority of men. I notice that when men talk about vulnerabilities causing women to pull away from them, its nearly always one of two vulnerabilities: A belief that they are unlovable, and with a specific focus that their partner does not truly love them and will leave them/cheat on them at the first opportunity. Which, on first hearing, sounds much the same as "I don't trust you". A lot of women, from experience and those of their friends, come to associate an expression of this vulnerability as a prelude to pr…

As someone from Ireland, I agree. Abortion is something which has been happening for as long as humans have been getting pregnant. Banning it is like banning masturbation. And introducing exceptions like "only in cases of rape" or "only if mothers life is in danger" is a minefield, as rape is notoriously hard to prove and in most cases where the mother's life is in danger time is of the essence and wasting time on deep assessment as to whether abortion is justifiable is often lethal. However, fr…

Antisocial behaviour doesn't mean avoiding socialising. It means acting in a way which is harmful to society. So crime, violence, theft, drug use, etc. You have a point, but it might not be the point you think you have: Some of the most intelligent people in the world are to be found doing damage to society: From drug kingpins, to organised crime bosses, to media manipulators.

IQ in its purest form is a measure of how well someone can reason and process information. In short, it measures a person's ability to learn. Ergo, a person with a high IQ should have an easier time attaining competency in just about any field. Athletics may be an exception, although IQ would still play a role to a degree. (i.e. someone with higher IQ will train methodically, research how to train, take measurements etc, while someone with lower IQ will just do the same thing over and over).
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/24 11:53 AM

I get the impression a lot of people, you included, are conflating the descriptors of "High IQ" and "Nerdy/Stereotypically Smart". IQ is in its purest form a measure of a person's reasoning ability, that is to say their ability to recognise patterns and process information with the goal of making a prediction. Anecdotally, pretty much all of the people I know who have taken IQ tests and scored highly, have very broad interests and are socially competent.
