How I view the cycle of talking about men's issues from the left and why men are flocking to the right wingAnd here I thought Transpeople were born in the wrong body from the beginning and it wasn't about choice. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 11/09/23 11:56 PM
The high standards men have to meet in dating is detrimental to their mental healthThe defence of Ukraine has quite the backing in Ukrainian society after it became clear what the Russians have been doing behind the front lines. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 25/04/23 12:59 AM
What are the examples of misandry, male disposability & common male tropes in fiction? If a woman does get killed, it's always in a less gory or direct way (e.g. she gets pushed off a cliff). Case in point: Braveheart The heroes love interest is captured and get's her throat slit off screen. The hero then does the same to the man who did it and you see it all. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 05/04/23 10:03 PM
Does this sub believe that "traditional" masculinity and/or gender roles should be promoted/encouraged?I mean this is pretty much a non-story anyway. This topic is big in online circles and essentially does not exist outside of it. Also what even is this "traditional" even supposed to mean. I consider it quite the meme that parents are punishing their child for wanting this or that toy that they disagree with. Most parents are normal people who give their kid the toy or the general idea of the toy that their child wants. Because otherwise they won't hear the end of it. "You can't play with X beca… | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 21/03/23 05:19 AM
Stigma against older men potentially rooted in misandryThat stuff is so weird to me. It repulses me when I hear "boy" and "girl" in reference to people in their 20s, often even late 20s to early 30s. Perhaps I have to visit the US to actually understand how US college "kids" are. As a European outsider it seems like a weird bubble where you are kept from real life. Which is weird because unlike here Americans have to pay big money to get a higher education. That should lead to a quicker adulthood, but it somehow doesn't? I've had perfectly normal in… | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 21/03/23 05:12 AM
Sexual politics is damaging young menDonglegate Oh boy. Let me guess, the female usb port is being penetrated by the male usb stick. What happened? | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 19/03/23 04:30 AM
if there is any slack to be cut on boys, up until when is it "acceptable"?Well little Miguel, you are now a man, at the old age of 13, off you go into the mugging car! Don't forget your knife! | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 19/03/23 04:26 AM
These are all recent and typical images from some of the UK's leading mental health orgs. How many guys would think "this service is for me" if they were looking for help?Hey the third one is cute. Especially the star get's me, looks a bit like an idiot so I can relate to that. Though I don't know what the bottom right is supposed to be. My first thought was cut open Kiwis, but that would be weird. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 19/03/23 04:24 AM
Stigma against older men potentially rooted in misandryBut someone who's 20 dating someone who's 30 is. They don't have the life experience to know what's acceptable, what isn't, what's abuse, what isn't, etc etc. I mean seriously? So I am in my 30s. Ever since I got 33 or so I've gotten a ridiculous amount of interest from women in their early to mid 20s. Hell even some late teens. Life experience. Well sure they don't know about how it is to work 40-50 hours a week slowly hating your existence. Or how it feels to see your not so potential income f… | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 19/03/23 04:17 AM
So many women seem to have zero idea what the male experience is actually likeI had an ex who threw the harshest insults at me, directly aimed at my masculinity after we saw each other again after 14 days in which I probably worked around 10hrs for 12 days. I was so done with absolutely everything and she thought that I was supposed to function as if I was a porn star upon seeing her in lingerie. Me: "I really can't I had so much stress for the past two weeks " Her: "Why did I even come here, I could've spend the weekend ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME" Me: ... Her: "You know wha… | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 19/03/23 03:43 AM
So many women seem to have zero idea what the male experience is actually likeIt's such a stupid example. I am over 190 and athletic. When I go on a nightly run in my semi-rural area and I hear rustling in a bush I am cautious of what might be there. If it rustles again I am reminded again that there are boars roaming around who could seriously harm me. I don't get a pass because I am a guy. Same with groups of people at night. Why would I not be on guard? If they decide to attack me and I can't get away that's it. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 19/03/23 03:23 AM
