Hot damn please follow the advice of travelling single, and travel solo too. I'm currently on my 'big overseas experience' with a couple of guys who have just turned out to be the biggest deadshit annoying betafags possibly on the planet. I couldn't have been more wrong about both of them before experiencing travelling together. Don't task the risk of a couple of assholes ruining your trip like I have. It's tough sure, but do it solo. You'll be better for it.

This is an aside, but I've never understood why the dinner thing gets taken so seriously. I know what you're saying is true. The one I'm referring to was absolutely consummated. We were madly "in love", for a time. We had a 5 year relationship that ended with her sleeping with my jiu jitsu coach. Whether that still classifies as a "oneitis" I dunno. Moving forward I would be quite happy to experience what I did at the beginning of that relationship, but knowing what I know now that will come with a boat load of caveats.
