like most things, by experiencing it a lot. you can get attached and get hurt again and again until you get sick of it, or by learning through the experience of others. some would argue that prevention is better than cure, and you can skip learning to detach by not being attached in the first place. to each his own i guess.

You didn't fuck up. It has ran its course. It was fun while it lasted, sure. How you go from here is what separates your old blue self, to your RP self. A lot of people here think attachment is evil, but I caution that if you worry too much about trying not to get too attached, it may take away from the experience. Getting attached is normal, you are still human after all. Not being able to detach when you have to is the problem most of the time.

I get where you are coming from, I really do. Is it really the redpill's fault? It is up to you to sift through the garbage. You chose to behave redpill only on your worst dates. This was you not yet internalising and not outcome independent. You acted more naturally and got better results later. That was you throwing away shit and incorporating TRP to what you already know. You've been here long enough, TRP is just a toolbox. You are shitting on TRP now, but when you hit rough patches, I'm pret…

This is one kind of progression from TRP. It can take you from being a blue, virtuous, principled gentleman to the other end of that spectrum. Then you don't see results. What results though? We're you trying to achieve Blue pill goals with red pill knowledge?? Then you started to throw away shit, and do what works for you. This part is where you are finding your happy middle. If you only understood correctly, that was what TRP was trying to tell you. Where you are now is where most people relap…

I personally do not believe the dating market has changed in the past decade. Sure, one can argue about social media and feminism and marriage laws, we all know that, but what actually changed is how one's perception becomes different after being exposed here to the red pill. When the anger passed and I was able to see objectively again, I realized that most of the things that resonated with me in the beginning was overstated. A decade or so ago, I was hoping to be with an equal partner I can sh…

whatever works, just keep moving man. i can't tell you to choose one or the other, most people here do both. better yourself sure, that should be a given by now. for the right reasons though, not so you'd pursue girls later.

It is because of I've recently been hitting some PR goals in the gym and have been seeing some great progress in my physique, but I cannot help but doubt myself when it comes to women. and She was emotionally abusive and ultimately ended up cheating on me. I stopped feeling sorry for myself, decided to take action, but feel like I am not getting anywhere with my self-esteem. Somewhere there, your self-esteem seems tied up to women, or just this girl in particular.

Time. You are probably still in the anger phase. Good of you to take action, that's where the pleasure is, not in the results. Just keep moving.

Good stuff. Radical acceptance is the way. Mindfulness is getting a bad rap here because a lot of people here are trapped in this binary way of thinking. I remember this Buddhist monk I encountered a few years back. I was pulling up to a parking spot near an electronics store in the Philippines. I already saw him when I was entering the parking lot, but I didn't notice him run after my car. He was there, waiting for me. When I got out of the car, he put on the wooden beads he was wearing on to m…

When you reply, you use the word 'enlightenment' and there's this thing you call 'The Enlightenment'. Confuses the shit out of me. An enlightened human is capable of virtue and reason, which means they can accept that they don't know everything, but the best they can try to do is live their life in accordance with what everyone knows to be the difference between right and wrong. Living in accordance of what everyone knows was the very reason the world we live in is like this now. If enlightenm…

You are too nice is womanese for "i wished you would have manned-up and taken the lead". You are a waste of time for these girls. They have enough girlfriends / orbiters already. Do what you gotta do, make your intentions clear. Put her on a state where if she doesn't want to go along, she gives you a hard no. Saves you both the time. No special sauce. Just lead. Escalate.

There is nothing you can do to make it last longer than it should. You should keep at it as long as it is making your life better. You will know when it no longer does. With this approach, you wouldn't notice how long it lasted. I had one for five and seven. I both knew they had to end when they had to. Circumstances change and that's normal. I always think it is incorrect to approach an LTR with this mindset of working extra to make it last longer. It is the woman's job to keep your commitment,…

i live in southeast asia and travel around neighboring countries due to work. (currently in taiwan, previously at philippines and malaysia) it is all a combination of social conditioning, outdated traditional beliefs, close-knit families (shaming works round these parts due to people not wanting to tarnish their family name), religion, western culture propagation thru social media and AWALT.

for what its worth, all this is in your head. all the problems you described (vividly if i may add) was all because of your insecurities. Good job on admitting it. Now move forward, and kill all that haunts you inside. When you reach that place, you would learn to just enjoy the moment and accept that even when you do everything right, she can still change her mind. And that's OK. I have a male friend who works as a nurse in a country like yours. Last I saw him was about 3 years ago, but he told me that his greatest fear as he is walking to work everyday is getting raped. See, in his profession, he wasn't allowed to have facial hair, (probably for sanitary reasons) but see if you are smooth as silk, you already are attractive to the common man even if you are male! I'm afraid to be lonely and alone again. This here is the problem. The answer lies in you. Until you overcome this fear, every relationship you will be in will be toxic as you described. You will always be treated like shit. Don't be selfish. You can't put the responsibility of your happiness to another person. You should learn how to manufacture the feeling of aliveness on your own.

just get out there. more reading would not get you further. if you define your inner frame by what you read, you have not changed, you just followed a different set of books. your frame will be defined by your knowledge and application of said knowledge. what would work for you may not work for me, what gives you happiness may not be mine. you will only fully self-internalize your new found knowledge by actually experiencing it. it is like playing the guitar. your fingers will hurt in the beginn…

I completely agree. After spinning a few all at the same time, I got to learn what I wanted and what I didn't want. In my experience, this is incorrect. Whenever I perceive that I am the best, wherever I am (i.e. work, town, classes, training, gym) I always have the urge to move. If I compare myself to my local community and I'm the best, if I do not move, I will stagnate. Stagnation = Death. But really, why compare yourself to others in the first place? I enjoy the company of women but I still focus on myself. Really don't understand people who thinks it has to be one or the other.

Worry only about things you have direct control of. Everything is your fault. There is no one else to blame but you. Lift. Be the best you. I just take what I need and go my own way. Everything is helpful in a way, even the bitter anger phase posts, as it reminds you why you went on this journey.

I could care less. People believe what they want to believe anyway, and the message is not for everyone.

Again, make yourself your mental point of origin. The information is here. It is up to you to make something of it. We can go on and on but if you never try you'll never know.

That makes it pure. As long as the point makes it across, I don't think elegance is required.

We don't, because it is up to them to calibrate. It is common sense to not believe everything you read without testing it first. You can lead a horse to the water but you can't make it drink. And it goes both ways.

Had a nasty breakup and know that deep down inside it is the best for the both of us. Pressured by people around me to do my best to fix it and cave to what that woman wanted, I tried googling for something to read that affirms what my instinct says. Funny enough, it sent me here.

Yes, because I now understand that I only get to worry about things I can control, and let go of things I can't. I honestly sometimes reminisce how happy I was when I was innocent. But everyone has to grow up at some point, and I did here.

Pros: If you have kids together, would be nice to see a degree of intimacy between the parents. Cons: Pretty sure the reason for being the ex-wife is enough.

You should probably go out more if you haven't seen this. And whatever their relationship is, it should not matter to you. Make yourself your mental point of origin. The beta-bux from the outside may not be as beta as you think, or might be as beta as fuck but I can't see how it should affect you.

I'm pretty sure you have seen this on the street at least once. If you really believe deep down inside that you are ugly, I'm not sure the knowledge here can help. It starts with you.

Knowledge is shared here with the knowledge that many would not accept it as it is. It may be open to people, but not everyone would believe in it. The competitive advantage is not needed, plenty of fish in the sea. If the fish do run out, I'm sure it is my fault.

2 conversions on 100 approaches (2%), and 2 conversions on 2 approaches are both 2 conversions. I get your point on inbound marketing but I'm not sure it is a correct metaphor. You can showcase yourself and approach, it is not one or the other. Do not look at it in percentages as it requires you to qualify outcomes into a success or failure for you to calculate.

There's a recent post about congruency here lately. You will do well to read it. Just go on your merry way and make yourself your mental point of origin. You won't find happiness spiting her. It is just another AWALT story anyway. It was fun while it lasted I'm sure, now on to the next one.

I do not like your tone, but I like your post for one thing: most people here would be confused with all the short-hand phrases thrown around here. Especially for those who are still in the anger phase, they might get a quick lesson or two from TRP and justify their anger. And when it wears off, they would read and read, and find whatever fits their mindset again and justify their anger again. But he may read posts on lifting, on becoming financially independent, on stoicism, on approaches, on…

i think the quarantine will never go away no matter what we do. the fact that we are still quarantined and not totally removed gives them the appearance of doing the imperative's bidding without actually doing anything.

You are nothing. When you don't wake up tomorrow, sure if you have any friends or family, they might be sad, but their lives and everyone elses lives will go on. You do something, you do nothing, it doesn't matter. The world would move, with or without you. Am I telling you to give up? No. Am I telling you to stop moving? No. Like you, I am nothing, and I know nothing. The only thing that matters is what you think of yourself. You got to find that something worth living for or else everything wo…

I agree when you said being an asshole does not have anyhing to do with being succesful. It is not important whether he was / is an asshole or not. He is successful. That's it. I disagree with everytgting else. I'm not saying one should be an asshole. This comment section is filled with guys who think like women, who focus on that one bad aspect on an otherwise successful being and I find it rather disappointing. Only in the blue-pilled fantasy would one believe that being good would make a lot …

I don't know. I'm pretty disappointed with what I see in the comments, even from our EC's. Programming is probably the most rational discipline there is. Zero's and one's. Right or wrong. No gray area. He is that man on a mission and he could fucking care less how you feel about him. No one knows him personally in here. Neither do I. Where did you learn he was such as an asshole? From things you read? From media?? Thing is, if this is not your discipline, you know nothing. As a software architec…

I was adopted and grew up with parents and siblings who were not of my blood. I read your post, I just couldn't relate to any of it. Your dad's life is his, what you see as blue may be his red. Him telling you just be yourself is actually good advice: he let you do what you would without him having to tell you what. If he told you to lift and fuck ten other women, read books and shit, would you? We all see what we want to see. We all hear what we want to hear. He was there for you, and knowing w…

If I tell you without a shadow of a doubt that ghosts exist, and you haven't seen one you wouldn't believe me. Unless you see one too. In case you already believe in ghosts, change it to another thing, you get my drift. One day, it will all make sense. There is this slim chance you live and die blue, but when shit hits the fan, we'll all be here for you. Enjoy it while it lasts. If it doesn't, be happy you found us. True. Hypergamy is hypergamy, everywhere and anywhere. Feminized guys here play the same game, they are actually turning into women as well. I work in a department with 100 guys, and less than 5 still know how to use tools and fix shit. Not that it is a measure of masculinity, but most guys here know more girly stuff than guy stuff. The advice you get from guys and girls here are practically the same.

This is true to an extent. The only difference with the west is that, in most of Asia, people still hold on to their traditional values. I agree with everything OP said about the education system. Feminism here in Asia is almost the same as how it is described in TRP, except probably in China. There was a period of time where Chinese are only allowed to have a single child. With abortion being allowed in their culture, that generation produced a lot of spoiled 'man-children'. These people are na…

I salute you for being a great father. I wish my dad taught me this too, but, had he taught me these things a long time ago, I wouldn't have believed him anyway. You've taught him about money, cars, martial arts, etc, well, that's all you could really do. You cannot grow a man, he has to make a man of himself. The best you can do is, depending on your relationship, talk to him about past experiences before you met your wife just to leave subliminal impressions of the concepts here. You can also …

I'm quite new here and I'm not sure I am able to understand everything here but you can do anything you want as long as you bear the consequence. Sure you can slip and cave in. Sure you can be sad about it, it is completely normal. The important thing here is you are able to look into yourself and saw something you wouldn't want to do in the future. I like that you hate yourself for it. It makes you better. Learn from it and improve yourself. You can read all about it here, but everyone has the …

There are no lines. Psychology is not an exact science. If everyone has BPD, it becomes the new normal. The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, (DSM) is always revised as the need grows. Everything you said about women applies to men too considering a we all grew up in this reality and who we are has been molded by it. Introspect. Practice mindfulness. Everything that's happened to you and is happening to you is entirely on you. To be a man is to face the consequences of whate…

Yeah. From your first statement, avoid women with BPD, true. All women have BPD, I'm not sure. If it were true, I guess the takeaway here is just avoid women altogether. With a bit of introspection, we also find faults in ourselves. Lift, be the best you, avoid them altogether, until one day you built yourself to be able to handle them and the shit that comes with.

Yeah. Never too late to learn. I never really tested women. I was always operating on people come, people go and just have fun while it lasts. Until that woman came to my life, we we're together for 7 years and when shit hit the fan, it was like you described: everything was 180 at the drop of a hat. What resonated most to me among what you said was 'you have to be quite cunning yourself to get rid of them (sic)'. I knew this and after introspection, I didn't like what I became. Before TRP, I wa…

I beg to disagree with this one. Although AWALT, it is not vengeance that we seek. If I understood TRP concepts correctly, it is about self-improvement, and I don't see this as an improvement. I'm not moralizing or anything, but what you are describing here is a classic NPD-BPD pairing. I might be narcissistic and naturally attract borderlines, and I really won't wish what I went through even to my worst enemy. But yeah, to each his own and I respect that too.

Agree with you 100%. I experienced this high-level shit as you described. Mine put me in a frame where if I don't do it her way, she kills herself. She even tried to slit her wrists in front of me and I had to restrain her. I was lucky to have made audio recordings of what she said. But I kept it to myself. The most horrible thing is the constant gaslighting which really burns me to my core personally, as I always thought that my one talent is having eidetic memory. Then I found myself here, rea…

Excellent read. Be glad you saw all of these at your age. Don't use what you learn here to harbor any resentment towards women. This is a step towards understanding reality for what it is. You are young. Focus on making yourself better everyday. Appreciate women for what they are, and for what they are good for, but never take anything personally. I always described the day I swallowed the pill as the day I lost my innocence. I have to admit, it was bittersweet, but it is what it is, and it is s…
