6	Racial makeup of deaths from Circumcision Are you sure you're not misunderstanding their argument? Because it doesn't make sense. Personally I wouldn't rely too much on the deaths argument because we don't have much reliable data. Doctors are obviously loathe to attribute death to a completely unnecessary surgery, so will list "blood loss" or whatever. 10	Why do many men have Stockholm Syndrome when it comes to their circumcision? Men have a great psychological need to see their penis as good and desirable. A mutilated thing does not sound good and desirable. But for those of us in other countries I think it's arrogant to say they should bow to our pressure. 8	I’m pretty fuzzy on the topic of circumcision. It is against the law to cut up the genitals of a female child. I'm sure you instinctively know why, even if some quack were to tell you it's "cleaner" or "healthier". In every other instance except circumcision, surgery is done only if there is a severe risk to not doing it, or if the patient specifically requests it.
