I'm 35, Retired Early - And live happily on 10k a year. But note that you must make at least the poverty level of income (not savings) to get ACA. $1 less and you're ineligible, although you might skate by for a year or two before they figure it out and prevent you from signing up again. The OP, living on savings, wouldn't be able to get ACA unless his money was in a 401k and withdrawn at the poverty level after paying a 10% early withdrawal penalty. 401k money is considered to be income because it's tax-deferred money. Fortunately, for those in OP's… | /r/MGTOW | 25/04/16 03:45 PM
Don’t name rape suspects unless they are convicted. No need to conflate the risk of being secreted away with a right to privacy until there's hard evidence; the former needn't follow from the latter. In our system, you can still be secreted away. There's no way for the public to prove that arrest records made public include all those who were arrested. Our society could be better; it isn't as exceptional as it could be. You haven't made your case. | /r/MensRights | 15/04/16 05:18 PM
Don’t name rape suspects unless they are convicted. If a stranger accuses me of rape, I lose at least $500k between the lawyer and my ended career. Privacy is maintained in France for the accused, the same way it is for rape accusers in the US, by not releasing the info to the press. You haven't made a case for a better society. | /r/MensRights | 15/04/16 04:42 AM
Don’t name rape suspects unless they are convicted. Our society loses when an innocent person's life is ruined by a mere accusation that leads to an arrest. Until there's hard evidence, anonymity is warranted, as is the case in France. | /r/MensRights | 15/04/16 01:11 AM
Don’t name rape suspects unless they are convicted.Small problem tho, men get arrested for rape when merely accused of it, before hard evidence (if any) is collected. | /r/MensRights | 14/04/16 07:55 PM
Don’t name rape suspects unless they are convicted. No, rape should be treated just like any other crime. Not until suspects aren't named until there's some hard evidence. A mere accusation shouldn't be sufficient to name a suspect for any type of crime. | /r/MensRights | 14/04/16 06:25 PM
Just called my boss and said I'm never coming in again...The trick is to not have the money left over to pay for good medical, nursing and hospice care. Then you die quick, after having enjoyed your money. | /r/MGTOW | 07/04/16 04:08 PM
Just called my boss and said I'm never coming in again...You could live in Hawaii, travel around the mainland in an RV for 5 months a year, spend $50k a year, and not come close to running out of money in your lifetime. | /r/MGTOW | 07/04/16 04:03 PM
Interesting for younger MGTOWs: Don't Confuse the Cost of College with the Cost of an EducationI agree on the subject, but observe that "good university" doesn't matter. Having done much hiring for many employers in concert with team members, I've seen that accredited universities are treated equally regardless of name or stature. Now I've not seen someone from MIT, Harvard, Yale etc. But those seem rare enough that a candidate wouldn't need to worry about competing against them. | /r/MGTOW | 07/04/16 03:58 PM
Interesting for younger MGTOWs: Don't Confuse the Cost of College with the Cost of an EducationIt says college graduates make a million dollars more PER YEAR over non-graduates. Even if it was per lifetime, it wouldn't take in account the likelihood that someone who is smart enough to graduate from college is worth more in the job market than someone who couldn't, regardless of a degree. Safe to say that businesses value profit over degrees. As college costs skyrocket, at some point this will happen in an interview: Interviewer: "I don't see a listed degree on your resume. | 5 | Just called my boss and said I'm never coming in again...Why would you be scared of running out of money, or take freelance jobs, or pay $250k for a house in KFalls? Check out ssa.gov to see what Social Security will (or currently promises) to give you. $1 million invested in houses should generate $30k a year in rent after all expenses including property management. | /r/MGTOW | 06/04/16 02:52 PM

What in the world....can't imagine who is looking for this? (unfortunatly not april fool)The pitfall isn't that you'd have to pay for the kid. It's that you'd potentially have to pay her as well, and possibly more money than you earn. Child support is a % of your earning potential, not actual earnings or what the kid needs. There's no requirement that she spend the money on the kid. If you had a great salary when the support was determined by a judge, then lose that job and have no hope of making that much again, you could end up in jail repeatedly, even if you could still cover all… | /r/MGTOW | 02/04/16 03:56 AM
Taxes And The System Are Pissing Me OffI tend to agree with much of your OP, but not this on car insurance. You'd get in trouble for good reason. If you have no insurance then you could easily be unable to afford to pay for damage you do with your car, and then someone else will unfairly have to pay for your mistake. If you have enough money (i.e. you can afford pay for damage) I think you can forgo insurance by posting a bond or something. | /r/MGTOW | 02/04/16 03:37 AM
Taxes And The System Are Pissing Me OffThis is a bit extreme to me. The property taxes are for roads, street lights, bridges, etc. etc. If you don't want those services, you can build on land with fewer services and have dirt cheap property taxes. For example, this guy pays $300 a year in property taxes for 40 acres, a cabin and outbuildings. There's a public road to his land, and he gets police, 911, and many other services, so $300 a year is fair. | /r/MGTOW | 02/04/16 03:32 AM
What in the world....can't imagine who is looking for this? (unfortunatly not april fool)Heed u/RFrankieR's warning here. That's child support based on his perceived earning potential (perhaps a good job that ended years ago), not actual earnings or what the kid needs. Can't pay? He goes to jail. | /r/MGTOW | 02/04/16 03:11 AM
What in the world....can't imagine who is looking for this? (unfortunatly not april fool)How would you avoid the pitfall that u/RfrankieR points out here? | /r/MGTOW | 02/04/16 03:05 AM

What is the best way to get started on Ghosting?Yes it is: to do otherwise lies about how prices are changing and those affects are like a tidal wave flowing outward that hit every product and service for sale. All I care about is how those other prices affect the price of the basic things I need. To determine that, only the price of those basics things need to be included, and there's no pretending there. The price of the basic things already has everything that affected it baked into it. If a mouse farts in Africa and that changes my rent, … | /r/MGTOW | 17/01/16 08:13 PM
What is the best way to get started on Ghosting? This means we could have housing prices rise at 50% and pretend there's 0% part of inflation while rents rise 60%. When rents rise 60%, that figure is factored into the CPI. So where is the pretending? Yes, you can't rent a place that isn't owned, but how is that relevant? I want the CPI formula to cover only the basic needs of the largest group of people. Other inflation figures can include other stuff; those would be alternative figures that apply to a smaller group of people. If you have yet … | /r/MGTOW | 17/01/16 06:13 PM
What is the best way to get started on Ghosting? It is for a ton of things. It's already broken a lot of people. My cost of living vs hourly wage is sky-high, highest it's been ever, due to this. Things like what? Maybe you're subject to local or uncommon factors. A general inflation rate would exclude those for good reason. For example, if you live in a large city on the west coast then your rent may be increasing faster than elsewhere due to local factors like the Chinese dumping their money into houses there. Not all factors should be inclu… | /r/MGTOW | 17/01/16 03:54 AM
What is the best way to get started on Ghosting?I looked at several links from different sources. They all agree that average real wages have hovered around flat. It looks like zerohedge is misleading. It's easy to see that the US borrowed those $trillions. Here is a decent link about this. If the Fed was issuing $trillions without associated borrowing, inflation would be through the roof and it'd be a daily topic among the masses (can't be otherwise, because TANSTAFL). Like I said, inflation factors are subjective. If zerohedge includes hous… | /r/MGTOW | 16/01/16 08:05 PM
What is the best way to get started on Ghosting? That link I gave shows that average real wages have increased slightly since 1964. The chart of real wages differs significantly among pay classes. Low-wage workers had a slight drop in real wages, the middle class had a slight rise, and top earners had a big rise. The factors in an inflation number (affecting a real wage) are subjective and their relevancy depends on the person. For example, if you have yet to buy a house, a housing bubble depresses your real wage. Once you own a house, a futur… | /r/MGTOW | 16/01/16 06:32 PM

What is the best way to get started on Ghosting?Real (inflation adjusted) wages don't change much, which explains houses appreciating at the rate of inflation in the long run, and why rent will still be affordable. Since the 1960s the "long run" varies but might average 20 years, seen here, when constant dollars crosses a value it crossed before. There's a housing bubble now that seems to be slowing in growth, but no telling when it'll deflate. That's up to when the Fed quits blowing asset bubbles with borrowed money. | /r/MGTOW | 12/01/16 03:29 PM

I've bought the land and will build an off the grid hut on it in a couple years. I'll live off savings, and later, meager Social Security will suffice due to low cost of living.
