While I agree it's fucked, that's the reality of social media platforms. I think half the mongoloids who push anti-intellectualism ideals wouldn't hold on so tightly to said ideals if they were unable to do so online. Humans were in tribes for a very long time. Since connecting/interacting with others becomes easier every passing year, it's almost like humans are making virtual tribes.

Lol when John Wall retires he won't be remembered\famous like LeBron. He's a great PG but has accomplished very little in the grand scale of basketball (no rings, no big records, no history of deep playoff runs, etc) He'll be remembered in the Washington area (assuming he doesn't get traded/leaves). He'll still have his riches but won't have the fame (not that he cares too much about it)

I completely agree tipping is ignorant and it's a clear method of paying your employees well below minimum wage (most waitresses I know are paid 2-4/hr). I tip almost out of pity because of how unfair it is. I know what you're thinking, why not get a different job? I live in a very small town so jobs are scarce and you'll take what you can get so for a decent chunk of the servers, they don't have much of a choice
