I can see it coming from a place where it’s not like you ever have to work again money...it’s not like if she gets 10% of it she can just not work for the rest of her life and would be less than lawyer fees to ‘try’ and get it. Now if it was 210million. That’s a different story. Getting 10% of that mean you and your lawyer don’t work any more. Obviously the amount can be looked at from different peoples perspective...but it’s still risk reward. If you make 12k a year yeah, 30k from the 220k soun…

https://techcrunch.com/2019/03/04/google-found-it-paid-men-less-than-women-for-the-same-job/ turned out male-identified Level 4 Software Engineers received less money than women in that same role. That led to Google paying $9.7 million to adjust pay for 10,677 employees.

And you can still file married but file separately, they just use YOUR income not your combined income for the calculation... Straight from the government... https://blog.ed.gov/2017/07/something-borrowed-how-marriage-impacts-your-student-loans/

Where though? I know people that were making 140k where I’m at and went to making 180k in Denver. But my 3000sqft house was 280k. Their 3200sqft house is over 600k. Making 100k in one part of the country you can live like a royalty, another part of the country and you are struggling.

I wanna know wtf he does to make 250k a year. Is it family money or a job that he makes that much... Only thing I could think that makes that type of money is medical (Dr) but he’s too young to be a full on Dr to be out and making that type of money or engineering/finance in a major metropolitan area with a high cost of living (NY/SF/LA/Denver/Seattle).

The only reason google did this is because they are being sued for wage gap discrimination from women ( https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/technology/2018/oct/26/google-gender-pay-gap-women-class-action-lawsuit). Be a pretty damn good argument in court to say “we actually analyzed the data and you were actually being over paid”.

I’ve read about 50 of these articles and Ive yet to see one state that information. I read the first few sentences and saw it said the same thing that she wasn’t going to be let back in. I see it now. My bad.

So...this brings up the question based on this... https://www.state.gov/secretary/remarks/2019/02/289558.htm It clearly states she’s not a citizen. How was she here in the first place? Are her parents illegally here? How did she go to UAB without having some type of documentation?

You sure you aren’t republican? ;) jk. The “far left” is what gets publicized though unfortunately. The screaming of everyone being hitler or fascists if they don’t conform to their ideology is what gets noticed. It gives “liberals” a bad name, just like the idiots running around screaming KKK shit giving republicans a bad name. Unfortunately, right now (or at least it seems to me) the ones making the most noise are extreme liberals on the left with screaming rape, screaming injustice for LGBT, …

He made an edit explaining what the account was for. He didn’t reward her, he just told her what he was ordered to do. Once the account is drained it’s her problem. He’s actually pretty smart because if she runs the child support account dry in 5 months and she complains and needs more, it goes to court, and he can sit back and smile and say it was X dollars over 12 months, she was too inept to manage money how can she keep care of a child? Based on that argument he might be able get custody if …

Is this not contradictory? There is no question that such ugly accusations against such a significant leader of #MeToo don't help the movement, giving ammunition to misogynists who question women's stories of sexual harassment and abuse. But do they present it with a setback? It’s an accusation if a man accuses a woman of harassment, but it’s a fact if a woman accuses a man? This to me is such a two faced illogical comment it’s unreal.

Kind of misleading since can’t actually get the money without being taxed. So he’s not really paying 0%.

I don’t know where he’s at but I wouldn’t recommend this in the US. What happens if someone sues his friend? Or the myriad of other potential problems. You can’t magically just hide assets like this and expect courts to ignore it all. He could certainly lie, but it’s also illegal and you better hope to god you didn’t fuck up somewhere...like announcing it on the internet. There are so many better ways to legally “protect” your money. Most of which he described would be major red flags to the IRS…

All BMWs are pieces of shit. I don’t know a person with a BMW that hasn’t had major problems. Get off your high horse that you can’t afford a high end automobile that doesn’t suck ass and no i’m not talking about a bmw.

I’ve got a BMW x3 08 that’s a total piece of shit. It’s not worthless but i wouldn’t feel right selling it to someone. Selling it to carmax or a dealer about the only way to get rid of it without giving it away. Unfortunately it’s usually a package deal.

Almost 60% of the government spending is dedicated to welfare, social security, medicare and social services. The same exact sector you want to extend spending. A good portion of this is MANDATORY. Yet you have a problem with military spending which is 1/3 of that. If your argument is for the military (all of the government spending is getting out of control) to cut excess spending, why shouldn’t social services? America isn’t perfect but if you think that America needs to “catch up to the rest …

Ummm, i ALREADY pay for that and I DONT have kids. Why do i need to pay even MORE for you to have glorified babysitting? Seriously when does it actually become YOUR responsibility to take care of the decisions you make instead of making the government pay for it?

It’s NOT FORCED by the government for a company to provide maternity leave. It’s all dependent on the company. This does not stop you from taking sick leave, PTO, or even FMLA (which i don’t agree with). If you aren’t in a position to prepare to handle a child maybe you shouldn’t be having a child.

If you don’t like paying for military, and whatever other stuff you are talking about, how do you think I feel as a guy without having any kids feel that same about not paying for your decision to have kids. If you can’t afford them, don’t have them. Its one of the 3 rules where if you follow it, 98% of the people don’t end up in poverty and 75% end up in the middle class (defined as making more than 55k a year).

She said in the statement she hadn't told him. Obviously the guy probably knew something was up but I just never read where she explicitly stated she cheated...which just further proves the point that she has issues. Not saying you are wrong but she never admitted (at least I didn't see it) that she said she told him and admitted she fucked up.

I hate to say it but if google is using machine learning to detect gender bias and google finds the lack of gender bias this could potentially be your biggest ally.

Taking this one step further, how did they determine her stepfather was doing anything either? Did they take her word for it on that too or was there some actual evidence to show her stepfather was molesting her?

I don't get it... "That isn't necessary...that isn't necessary". He told her to get up, no compliance. "That ISN'T necessary" Then they get more pissed when you force them to do what they are told in the first place. It is stupid as shit.

I've said the same thing. They usually cop out and say "oh there the same support available to men in nursing as their are for women in engineering". No one ever seems to be able to back that up with any tangible information though.

Besides the whole PPD (or whatever it is in this case). How can this not be considered trespassing/breaking and entering/whatever in the first place and the "squatter" be removed permanently? I don't understand how the "squatter" was allowed to prance back in like they own the place.

Do you know of any report that show the wage gap that doesn't ignore these numbers? I have trouble finding it. I argue this point all the time but people are like $0.77 on a dollar $0.77 on the dollar...blah blah blah. "SAME JOB SAME PAY!!". I argue, experience, amount of work, but never make it past "EQUAL PAY!!!".
