Anything men claim swims against the tide. Women’s claims swim with it. That’s society, culture and the media. There is ample evidence of the significant share of women committing violence against men, but it doesn’t get traction.

Sumo dates back almost 2,000 years. It’s so easy (and frankly ignorant) to view something like this through a modern lens with zero perspective. The genders had roles for a reason in those days. Simple survival.

I agree with you generally. Maybe I just didn’t buy this woman’s pity party. I don’t typically celebrate other’s misfortune.

I think my comment was absolutely valid. How many men have been erroneously fired over this kind of stuff? To me it’s like alimony. At some point a critical mass of women will get hosed like men have and they will suddenly realize how ridiculous and unfair the system is. Many women took the position during the height of “me too” that the truth was less important than the message, and a few innocent men going down was a price worth paying. Right now, at my work, one jealous secretary reported to …

Sure. We are also getting only her side of the story, which is obviously self-serving. I find it hard to believe she was fired for the sandwich comment.

Love it. No sympathy at all. As he said, this is the system that women created. Anonymous unsubstantiated reporting and then “believe women”. Women get away with so much more than men. I’ve heard women talking loudly sexually about men in the office in a way men haven’t for 20 plus years. It’s time for double standards to stop.

I don’t really see how this is pussy pass denied. A reverse allegation would simply never get traction. This is a reminder to all men just how exposed they are, and how things like “believe women” make stupid people feel morally superior for doing that rather than assessing the facts.

I guess the mod rules have changed? I had an “accepted” post deleted and was accused very unpleasantly and erroneously of “karma farming”. I personally think this has great illustrative value for why the sub is needed.

Exactly right. People confuse the ability to do more physical harm with being more violent but it isn’t true. It’s about controlling yourself. 99.99% of physical abuse is not life threatening, and within that percentage women are more violent than men. They initiate more and, as you say, are much more likely to be the violent party in a household where only one party is violent.

There is just so much wrong with this. Hard to know where to start. One thing…the idea that men would like other men to get away with rape. He suggests this early on. That’s just false. Disgustingly so. Even convicted felons have a special hatred for rapists. No one thinks men should get away with rape. Another. How many victims of false accusations is acceptable? I would say zero. That’s essentially what our legal system is based on. This guy spends a lot of time minimizing the impact of false …

The kid is 4. A couple of years ago you were considered a demon if you didn’t blindly follow what a little kid says, regardless of the repercussions. The evidence is out and the tide is turning on this. I suspect the mother thought being woke on this subject would give her control and probable custody. The kid IS a boy, saying he wants to be a boy. What’s the confusion?

After 10 years of marriage, alimony in California is permanent unless the one getting supported (being a parasite) gets remarried or one of the parties dies. If someone is getting a decent amount of money this way they have no incentive to remarry. It’s permanent

This is in a thread specifically about systemic misogyny. You clearly meant to imply that it was. In any event I disagree with your entire premise. In what sense do you mean that “women were property”? Are you talking about dowrys. That’s a ridiculous characterization if so. Property ownership and the right to vote were tied to the potential for military service. It wasn’t misogyny. It was just how it was.
/r/PussyPassDenied20/04/23 05:39 PM
22

This is just wrong. The reality of the past is far, far too complicated to make statements like this. Things that might seem like misogyny viewed through a modern Western lens were simply what was needed for survival at the time. The vast majority of men also lived powerless and miserable lives. Women gave birth. That was dangerous. There was no medicine or birth control. Men fought in wars. No one thought of how things were in ways that could ever be considered misogyny. That’s a luxury of mode…

Yes she was looking for it, but they gave it to her. They checked her out. Watch the longer version. That’s not a crime but it gave her the green light. She also wasn’t that rude. I think she challenged him and then he abused his authority. That’s fun and satisfying and she deserves it for being a manipulative attention whore, but it’s not PPD to me.

I knew my take would not be popular but whatever. No, that’s not correct. They stopped what they were doing when one tapped the other and directed him to check her out. It’s more proactive than you are claiming. She didn’t just randomly enter their field of view. Is there anything morally wrong with that? No. But it gives her an excuse to act like that, which is what she wants. I personally go out of my way to make sure I give attention whores zero energy. If every guy did that they would soon s…

I think this is tough once you see the original video. On the one hand she’s obviously setting this up on purpose. She WANTS to be looked at so she can be indignant about it. On the other hand they did, in fact, check her out. She called the guy out for it and he got her thrown out. I can see interpreting this as an over reaction to him being busted. Is this legit PPD?

She went to the gym at least partially in hopes of being able to post the exact sort of video she did. She felt absolutely safe to express a desire to violently assault someone, because that someone was a man. My wish is that she would be completely and totally ignored by all men for the rest of her life. No one flirts with her. No one compliments her. No one gives her a shred of attention. For her own good and protection of course.

The range is from 4 to 19 years, which I suspect is related to the difficulty of fully sorting out what happened in such crimes. There is no problem sorting out the fact that she was happy to send two men to jail for years. How it can be that false accusations don’t lead to the same sentence as the crime itself (in this case 2 rape convictions) is beyond me.
/r/PussyPassDenied16/02/23 04:18 PM

Fortunately they were able to prove it. 5 years is nowhere near long enough. The average time actual convicted rapists spend in jail in the UK is 8 years.

Women consume two-thirds of all healthcare dollars. Men die earlier and at higher rates for all 10 of the top 10 causes of death. Men die 7 years earlier on average But what gets attention by the media? That women pay a bit more for health insurance. Guess what? They SHOULD. This stupid idea has grown out of identity politics, and the fact that feminists can’t handle criticism ever. Look at the relevant subs on Reddit. Anyone can have an opinion on anyone else. The idea that you have to have an identical lived experience is idiotic. Everyone has felt alone, or scared or depressed or disrespected etc. it’s easy to put yourself in someone else’s place if you try.

What do you think about this: When women made up a lower percentage of college students it was assumed to be sexism. That there were systematic barriers and other forces that kept women out of college. Fair enough But now that men make up a lower percentage what is the response? It’s why are men failing? It’s framed as a failure of men. The playing field is assumed to be equal, and so this must mean men are simply inferior and not cut out to compete. It should be obvious to anyone who actually c…

Reasonable _Listen covered many of the obvious things. I have a few points about your post specifically. Roe: you can see that as an attack on women but the argument is really about the potential rights of another human being. There is nothing about my post that would suggest this. I was very specifically pointing out that it wasn’t surgical castration to someone who wrote that bottom surgery isn’t done to minors. Puberty blockers prevent the production of sperm. That is effectively castration during the time they are given, even if the effect COULD be reversible for some people upon cessation. Surgical castration is the removal of the testes.

It is true that the vast majority of mass killings are done by men. Still, what percentage of men is that? It’s an incredibly minuscule fraction. It’s not a male issue at all. I’ve heard of at least a dozen instances of women killing pregnant women, cutting them open and stealing their babies. I’ve never heard of a man doing that. Is that a woman issue? No. Women are not collectively responsible for that.

I think you are trying to be reasonable and shouldn’t be downvoted. Having said that, here’s my take. There is abundant video evidence at this point that some women behave badly in all the same ways some men do. We are all humans, and negative traits exist in both genders. There are studies that show women initiate physical violence in relationships more then men, and when a relationship has only one violent member it’s twice as likely to be the woman. Would just add that voting was historically tied to fighting and dying for your country. That part seems to be completely forgotten, but it’s why the draft is brought up at the same time. It’s a matter of degree. In California, if you are married for 10 years then alimony becomes permanent. That is ridiculous. Someone gets married at 25 and has two kids. We are never going to agree on anything. Women also have no idea what it’s like to be a man. There are many, many studies that show what I said. Hormones are a powerful excuse for women, but somehow I never hear dudes excusing their behavior because of testosterone, and no one would accept it if they did. It’s called personal responsibility.

When I was a med student I was in the room of an older guy when the nurse came in and said he needed a bed bath. He was a bit confused, so she grabbed his junk through the sheet, and jiggled it as she said she needs to make sure this is clean. She then looked at me smiling like this was the most natural thing to do in the world. Totally inappropriate and obviously a massive double standard as well. She felt safe groping a helpless guy in front of a witness.

So true! And yet the opposite claim (that we have a rape culture) is never expected to be backed up by evidence.

This is obvious. To me it’s about self-control. If Ken are expected to have it, women should be too. Women commit more than half of all child abuse. That is, when the size disparity is in their favor, they go to town. They haven’t had to learn the self control that men have. Time they do.

No it doesn’t. What it DOES do is allow you to post a reply like that. The chicken shit feminist subs limit who can post so it’s just an echo chamber.

The very fact that she even considered this shows the privilege women in the developed world enjoy.

Margaret Thatcher for a more recent example.

Hasn’t been denied yet. She’s certainly giving it her best shot.

The problem is that Worldnews has over 2 million members and deals with things like the war in Ukraine, but I’m now banned for life from participating for a totally erroneous reason. I don’t care if a sub about a toenail fetish is moderated by a loser, but subs with millions of members should be carefully moderated. It’s a major weakness for Reddit as far as I’m concerned.

I got banned for life from Worldnews for supposedly posting something antivax, which is completely wrong, but whenever I engage the moderator they mute me for 30 days. It’s disgusting.

Yes the last 2 lines sum it up nicely! So I guess it sort of belongs.

Don’t think this belongs if the story is truly as she states. Yes she used a weapon but if the dude was really choking her at the time that seems perfectly justified. Sounds like the guys were being assholes.

Most powerful thing to do is ignore her completely

Very true. I was in a couple month texting relationship started on a dating website. We were about to finally meet, and then she said she wasn’t sure she was interested. I said, “OK, it’s been nice chatting with you.” Then she started texting about how awesome I was and how lucky she was and that she couldn’t wait to meet me. What? It was over at that point.

No winners here. She’s a dirtbag and he ran a red light and I’m sure routinely drives faster than she was, and is just making money. They deserve each other.

Oh I agree! I will say that I think downvoting ONLY, with no debate, is lame!

Any polite and respectful opposing viewpoint should be welcomed, as a counterpoint to the feminist pages who just ban anyone who doesn’t agree with them. That’s pathetic.

Not to mention that he’s much more likely to be financially supporting that baby.

If I, as a man went up to The Mountain and punched him in the face and he retaliated in kind it would be seen by everyone as perfectly acceptable. What’s the difference? Women should be held accountable. Period.

It’s always been amazing to me that this was even a thing, especially since women live considerably longer, and do get benefits for longer, even with the same retirement age. If any gender should get to retire early it’s men!
