I don't get how you changing for the better means leaving everyone you know behind on the way. It's not about leaving your old life in shatters behind you, but about combining new and old and making them work. I find that to be the bigger challenge. Consider focusing on what is there instead of focusing on what is not.

I was thinking about this quite recently. I have to say I disagree. If you really want to go for the LTR it is fine to reveal your intentions. Yeah, sure you could play games, always talk around the hot stuff, fuck around and pretend you're not giving a shit. In the end though, being honest in this context might be crucial, for you're displaying you're being serious and an adult by being direct and honest. If the situation ends up like in OP's example, maybe things weren't meant to be. At least …

Solid FR! One of the few good (realistic) ones I've read in a while. Just a quick question, why the contact photo? Is there anything more behind it?

Smartass one-liner, not contributing at all to the topic, not even discussing what the article itself is about. Welcome to seddit and it's recent influx of AFCism.

Why would you want to do something about it? Smiling's natural. I know some of those guides say that you should be kinda reluctant with your smile, but I think as long as you don't have an exploding laughter, this shouldn't matter. I mean, it defines you somehow. I think I've never negatively noticed someone smiling too much. Just learn to use it for your own good.

Well to explain things a bit, I can only speak for Germany, but if you grind there, you only grind with someone you know intensely, otherwise girls that do that would usually be considered total sluts. Good advice: Never approach girls from the back in Germany. Thing is, if we dance, we do it from the front, which is in my opinion a total different form of being 'intimate', and not that animal-like. But as I noticed the dancing styles (at least considering guys) differ completely. What I've noti…

I'm getting into the American college scene right now, and as an European the grinding really throws me off. Do you guys consider this necessary? Otherwise, great FR. Best of luck for your date!

True that, you're not here to impress anyone. The people crying for verification haven't learned anything from this subreddit. Anyway, thanks for this insightful guide!

Sometimes the best choice is to admit defeat. Right after you met your old hookup you should've went right to another bar. Girls you are completely uninterested in tend to get crazy for you. Nothing good comes out of that. (at least if you don't want it to. he he) Others might say that you should've used her to your advantage by pointing out how awesome you obviously are to the new girls. Laugh with them about how furious girls get for you. If this works, it might be the best outcome, but surely…

Just commenting on the third part. Do it man! Been there, done that and in the end you will regret that you didn't take the opportunity. It's just the hunting instinct speaking out of you - you just don't want the things you can have. The things you can't have are always more interesting. But don't let your self be misguided from your own ego! Take the opportunity, as it seems to me you really like her.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
