Another rather egotistical way to look at it...she’s stupid. She rejected all you’re willing to offer, right? So the mentality you should take is “I’m not attracted to stupid”

You've taken the first, and proper step, of the "moving-on" playbook. Pat yourself on the back right now, that in a world that seems so irrational for you, YOU did the CORRECT thing first. Cutting her off is the absolute right thing to do in order to advance your life, so look at this as a glass half full, you fucking did the right thing...even when you're at your lowest point. Mission number one has been accomplished. It's the best way to heal, I removed all things that reminded me whatsoever o…

Well I think if you’re complaining about her thirty pounds after children and you were at 320, you’re taking a very hypocritical approach. What has killed your sex drive? You have a porn problem? Had a buddy who used to have one and it almost killed his marriage, he stopped jerking off for thirty days and said it rebooted his system, he stopped watching porn too. I’d seriously stop masturbating whatsoever, have your balls build up so much pent up energy that by the time you screw her, you shoot …

Put divorce totally out of your head, this isn’t grounds for divorce. I fear that your gym vanity is your subconscious wanting to keep you marketable to outside women that you’re attracted to because you’re not attracted to your wife. I mean, leg day means you can’t screw? That’s a big problem, no offense. This woman has popped out kids for you, rarely do women bounce back to their level of attractiveness to when you first met them after they’ve had children. You learn to love her as a person mo…

Well, I honestly think it's a silly reason for divorce, hear me out here on this: You made eternal vows to one another, and short of real abuse or sexual infidelity, you shouldn't divorce. Divorce statistically puts children at a serious disadvantage, and your vows should be what keeps you together. Even if you can't stand her, you have to stay strong for your children's sake. Here's what you do, when she acts like a bitch to you, you throw a dagger right back at her. When she gets mad you simpl…

Make it joint only, because if there is a surgery she wants performed on the child and you don’t, then she can override you. Same for educational choices, all kinds of stuff that you need a say. Don’t give her exclusive right. I used my join managing conservator right to override a foolish surgery she wanted done when my son broke his nose. Long story, but I got it overridden and hospital stopped the surgery. You don’t want to give her ultimate authority. It might say split legal custody but tha…

Seven long years indeed, but what it primarily did for me was teach me all of the nuances about myself, about single women in this current day and age, taught me to dig deeper and discover what it is that I truly want in a woman, made me learn a lot of things about myself as well. You said women often marry up and men marry down right? So what you do, is make the chick prove herself as to why she is allowed to join your kingdom that you've worked hard to create. None of this chasing girls on you…

Yeah, this is a bitter remark. Don’t fall victim to these poisonous echo-chambers like this. Just because one woman has wounded you, doesn’t mean they all will. I dated for 7 years after my divorce until I found a good one. Popping the question next month.

You don’t get past flakes, you instead take the mentality of “prove your worth to me before you’re allowed to join my empire” So when they pull dumb shit, you know it’s her loss. Society places a lot more onus on women to find somebody than a man who just enjoys his bachelorhood. You have a career, you can provide for a family and it’s proven already, you have your own place, car, all these things I’m assuming if you’re affording to date and travel right? I wouldn't say a narcissist, I would just say she is foolish. Her past, which she considered better than her present, had you in it...she mistakenly thought of this as a remedy to her present situation. She associated being happy with her past life, and being unhappy with her present life, so an element of the past would bring happiness again, does that make sense? Red flag - she was married and exploring other options, just like she was with you and flirting with your friends. Not trying to kno…

Usually you have to show a history of threatening behavior in order to obtain a protective order, this usually means police reports of alleged behavior to establish a history as to why the order should be granted. Not sure if you have done that already, but I have seen folks try and get one without establishing a pattern of threatening behavior with officials first, and it doesn't happen.

I know girls from school who took the urban route after high school and made these grand careers and keep up this stellar image, but the problem is they feel no guy can measure up to them. Lots are gorgeous at 35 and make lots of money, but then wonder why they’re still alone with no marriage or children. Careerism and feminism is killing traditional family units.

Find hobbies, make good friends to confide in, find way to occupy your time to make you happy until you get to see your kid again. Read material to advance your career, take certification courses to advance your career, chase another degree, learn to play guitar, go fishing, play a new video game, plenty of ways to occupy your time and give you “purpose” outside of your kid. Do yourself a favor here, get an attorney to get that lowered for you and also, find a means to increase your own income. I have a friend who prevented his ex wife from doing this by starting his own business, he then found other means of distribution to himself besides a W-2 in order to prevent the ass raping of his finances by her. He was a drywall specialist who is now a millionaire, and she only gets 600/month from him still.

Happened to me, she wanted to take back custody after four years, We were in very simple terms at that time, I even helped her do a job résumé, but she decided when I was laid off from an old job that she wanted to try and strike when I was unemployed. She’s not cooperating, she’s putting on a show for the judge. It’s like this, if you were a little kid and your brother kept picking on you, and then you went and told mom, he would get warned right? After that, mean brother would just get sneakier and more devious, but do you think he totally stops being an asshole to you? Basically, she now knows there can be consequences for her behavior so she is not gonna give your lawyer any ammunition to use against her, don’t be fooled. This is the scary…

Usually there is a standard possession order in your state, I recommend that you go read an example of one so that you can know what to expect. It's usually 1st, 3rd, and 5th weekends go to non-custodial parent. Father's Day weekend goes to dad, Mother's Day to mom. Christmas and Thanksgiving (sometimes Spring Break) is split into even and odd years, and summer is usually split into a fashion that gives non-custodial parent thirty days. 50/50, or this 3-day-a-week arrangement you want, only happ…

Hah, well keep on listening here... Dated a girl in 2018-2019, she was definitely a 9.5/10, blue eyed brunette with a long set of deer legs and just pretty as can be. She lived with her 2-year-old son, ex walked out on her, and she also lived in a trailer with her parents in a notorious "white trash" town. It's like this, the younger we are and less experienced we are, we think with our little head. Oh she's smoking hot? That will justify turning on the blinders and ignoring the red flags. As you get older you start to think less with the little head, and more with the big head as to why is this girl so strikingly beautiful but no man seems to stay with her? This is why you see guys in their 20s be foolish enough to fall for a girl just because she is "hot", and usually mid 30s is when we start to…

It's like this, narcissists will absolutely use a victim mentality in order to justify their abuse of others. I know the narcissist line is getting really overplayed these days, I see women do it every time they don't get their own way, "he's a narcissist that's why!" Check my reply up above, should shed some good light to you. There isn't anything wrong with single moms that are single moms for a GOOD reason. If the single mom is on the receiving end of a shit husband, then you might have yourself an amazing woman that was discarded by a fool. Single moms are usually more down-to-earth than the college ring wearing sorority types who spend their free time trying to impress their friends and the world. Lawyers REALLY strain the co-parenting relationship that needs to occur though, if mom agrees to keep attorneys out of it then that would be best for both parties. Sit down and see if a discussion can be held as to how to split everything, be willing to compromise...especially if you make the lion's share. Every situation is different though. Biggest thing to think about is that no matter how well a house you can provide, no matter how easily you can afford day care, you won't be getting primary custody of the kids. Their current primary caregiver is SAHM, who is usually the one to tend to their almost every need. Judges are always extremely reluctant to change that unless you can have OMG evidence, meaning evidence that is so egregious against her that a normal person hears it and says "oh my god!", my attorney described this as "vi…

That's the key to dating now, take that self-esteem that you've now realized that you have, and put it in your pocket. Know what you will tolerate and what you won't, and move forward. Know your worth, and don't compromise it.

Narcissitic personality disorder, victim mentality is a staple to it. Everybody has an internet megaphone now, so lots of people think they are a whole lot more important than they really are.
/r/Divorce_Men23/02/21 10:22 PM
4

Yeah, the easy way I explained narcissism to my current girlfriend... narcissism is basically a person who has a very grandiose sense of self-importance. They will run people over in attempt to establish their existence, validation, and importance. Anything said or done can be related to them, because they're the most important person in the world, and they commonly use victim-mentality in order to justify their abuse of others.

I've seen women that will demand a man make this much, looks like this, acts like this, makes her laugh, and all these other things and what you get in return is....wait for it... The privilege of being with HER It's very self-centered, and lots of chicks nowadays with the BS spewed from IG etc are now "all take" and "no give". When men stop chasing these divas, they will fade into the sunset with menopause and twelve cats.

If I tell my child that he is not allowed to have the toy he wants from the store, then that is not abusive. Sadly, there are adults who think that just because their partner won't give them what they want...then they are victims of abuse. Just because a person denies you a piece of candy, does not mean that the person is abusive.
/r/Divorce_Men23/02/21 10:16 PM

Victim mentality is used to rationalize irrational behavior. Social media feeds into this victim mentality by having an instant echo chamber that gives blind sympathy and further encourages more irrational behavior. Immature "adults" fall right into this category. We are in a society that now empowers victims which is a good thing, but we also empower those who aren't really victims who claim to be victims because they want the attention and sympathy as well. This is particularly dangerous in th…

Biggest thing that I’ve found is to teach them how to have the same respect for themselves in the same manner that has them put women on a pedestal. They will not value own time and efforts towards women because of this pedestal they’ve put girls on, ask them if they are seeing women that they date show them the same exalted respect toward the man. Ask him if they bend over backwards for him in the same way that he does for them. Answer is probably no, and that makes him a sucker. She wants you …

Confidence attracts women, the nice pushover guys never win. You can flirt between that fine line of cockiness and confidence, but chicks have a strong nose for false bravado. Don’t just be an actor, work on yourself physically, mentally, and financially until your balls are as big as Randy Maresh’s are in a wheel barrow. Then when you date, let her know through your demeanor and actions that you want her, but you certainly don’t NEED her. Get that testosterone up, go fishing with friends, watch…

Well I always attribute this mentality to the media and RomComs, they’ve ingrained into society that how a woman feels is the most important thing on the planet. Remember the Oprah book, “He’s Not That Into You” 🤮🤮🤮 What about how a guy feels? Ladies, Copernicus called, turns out...your emotions are not the center of the universe. Social media has ruined dating. People see nothing but blissful relationships, vacations, and happy families on social media. People don’t post fights and problems and other turmoils usually. So when they find somebody on a dating app and there is the slightest bump in the road or the smallest indication that this won’t be their “fairy tale” (fairy tales don’t exist just FYI), then they just get out an app and find a new chance in five minutes.

Victim-mentality is used to control situations and validate her side. She will get blind, baseless sympathy from all the online girls and it will further hinder emotional growth because she will always find solace in the echo chamber. Herd mentality just rationalizes irrational thinking and she will have a hard time finding another man worth his salt.

Women these days think that every guy is a narcissist when they don't do something they want. Think about the term racist nowadays and how nonchalant it is thrown out there, same with Nazi and commie. Using terms in such a cheap manner like this dilutes the magnitude that the word is supposed to have. A trait of narcissistic personality disorder by the way, is thinking other people are narcissists LOL
/r/Divorce_Men02/02/21 03:32 PM

All depends, was she a stay at home mom for many years and you provided for her? Judge might make you carry for a year while she hunts for employment. In MOST cases, non-custodial parent covers medical costs for premiums, and then the parents cover 50/50 on all uninsured costs. I can’t see the judge making you carry her on your insurance though unless y’all were married for ten years or more and you provided it because her job didn’t. Just speculation though.

Also, all the romcoms that have these fairy tale scenarios aren’t reality, and too many women think that man who is going to stimulate them in every way possible exists. In the same way essential oils have been peddled to solve every ailment, narcissistic personality disorder is being used as the Swiss Army knife of relationship excuses. Much like the word racist, narcissism is being cheapened and diluted to where it doesn’t hold the same value that it once did. Anything somebody does to emotionally wound another person in any way, passively or actively, now means they are a narcissistic person.

Look at it this way. Marriage, is a forever bond between two people. Not sure your religion but to some it’s a vow before God. On top of that, it’s an eternal vow that you make to each other. When somebody breaks that vow, that means they aren’t keeping their word. Anybody worth their salt doesn’t want to be with somebody who isn’t trustworthy, somebody who gives up easily, and somebody who just throws in the towel because “they aren’t happy”.
