Can you pls provide the source of the rule which bars lawyers from taking cases of confessing clients. As far as I knew a defense attorney's job is to poke hole in the prosecutor's case and you can still do that without giving false evidences or witnesses to help the client. The client can always ask to give legitimate evidences that may help his case even if he is confessing to the crime, as long as that evidence is not falsified.
