Downs syndrome people are also abnormal. Handicapped people are also abnormal, it's all up to you if you're cool with being tactless or not.

In a strictly scientific sense, you're correct. But it's not tactful to point out differences with language that may be construed as hurtful.

There's not really a concrete boundary; it's different based on each individual and the level of established attraction.

I just have her on FB because she posts this kinda stuff almost daily. Why the heck would you want to be upset "almost daily"? That seems like an odd choice for you to make.

I think you'll find that most direct threats to men come from the small, extremist minority of SJWs on tumblr, you know, the kind of people advocating eugenic policies towards one gender (e.g. males). If you can distill feminism into a mainstream ideology, I think you'd find that the majority aren't threatening men or men's issues in conscious effort, but rather through dismissal and ignorance. That is, it's not malevolence per se, just misinformation and apathy in light of their own concerns.

The key to complimenting a woman is never to compliment something that they have no control over. A girl didn't get to pick how nice her butt looks, or how pretty her eyes are (though this is safer for a more intimate scenario like a date), hair is usually a safe option of you're seeing her a regular intervals. Of course, if she wears the same hairstyle everyday, there's no use in complimenting her on something you've seen ten times because she'll see right through you.

Okay let's break it down: You know, a big part of having an intelligent discussiob is making a bit of effort to realky listen to the other person, not misrepresent what theyre saying etc. Here's your main point, educating on what makes for an intelligent discussion. Youre really failing at that. I'm failing at your idea of an intelligent discussion. ilikehowdumbpeoplearesoconfident Are you calling yourself dumb? Look up the word "summation", I wasn't quoting you. I was using an ad hoc example of the idea you expressed. If you're going to go out on a limb and start calling people less intelligent, I feel like you should take the time to spell check and use proper grammar.

The drug war disproportionately impacts African Americans because there are a disproportionate number of them living below the poverty line. Ugly men and ugly women face different issues, but you can't use the argument that because a man will stick his dick in an ugly woman, an ugly man has a human rights issue because a woman won't fuck him.
/r/MensRights05/10/14 03:06 PM

As with your example of Fight Club, just because there's been a huge following of annoying people who hold the film up as the gospel, does not detract from it being a very good film. Despite your claims, everything you've said points to the hipster label, I don't think you find Louis CK bland or middle of the road, I think you're tired of his fans. I guess I'll try a third time and ask: What comedians do you like? What makes you laugh?
/r/MensRights05/10/14 02:44 PM

I can't agree with her. She's taking social constructs of the last 50-80 years and applying them to the entirety of human history. Many women can be spoiled brats in today's society, but historically they have never had this luxury. That doesn't make it right, but to whitewash all historical marital/sexual relationships as akin to the modern problems associated with third wave feminism is disingenuous and inflammatory. That's not to say that she doesn't raise some good points.
/r/MensRights05/10/14 05:14 AM

May I ask what comedians you consider to be your favourites? Again, I don't want to sound condescending, but many successful comedians admire Louis CK and think he's one of the best. To hear tell, they've been doing that admiring for years before he was famous. You'll often hear him described as a comedian's comedian. I really can't see how you can call him bland at all, he's far funnier than a truly bland comedian like Jeff Dunham. I am truly curious to find where your taste lies.

If it makes you feel better, video evidence of the crimes surfaced after her plea deal and there was a public outrage. Of course, she was released in 2005, remarried, left Canada and currently resides in South America with her three children.

The police chief seems to be aware of the legal system's double standard: At the press conference, Kenner Police Chief Michael Glaser addressed the double standards surrounding the situation involving a male student and female teachers versus a male teacher and a female student. Either way he said the crime is sickening.

ignoring the penalties of marriage If you examine the language of the article, it's pretty clear that author is pro-marriage (e.g.- noting that the decrease in marriage since the 1960s is a "grim" statistic).

So to summarize his point: Advertisers' visions of men and women are often blatantly stereotypical and possibly harmful to society, BUT if you think that anything should be done about the depictions of men specifically, you're a woman hating, basement dwelling loser who needs to check his privilege. Can you give me an example of a gender-neutral paragraph that attempts to recruit fathers into a more active role in their child's schooling?
/r/MensRights01/10/14 03:10 PM
2

How about writing it as a gender neutral piece. How do people keep suggesting this?! It's a promotional pamphlet for Take Your Dad to School Day, directly intended for the male gender. The term Dad is inherently not gender neutral.
/r/MensRights01/10/14 03:00 PM
-23

Agree 100%; there's nothing anti-male or anti-father in this pamphlet. It's a resource that the school is using to reach out the the fathers who may be wondering "Why the hell is there a 'Take Your Dad to School Day?'. I'll admit that the phrasing seems a little flippant, but I don't think it's offensive at all to fathers or men in general. It clearly says "some" not "all", it isn't even generalizing.

Well, the language of chemistry (and most hard sciences) is derived from Latin. Cis and Trans are just Latin prefixes that mean "on this side of" and "on the other side of" respectively.
/r/MensRights20/09/14 05:35 PM

I think a lot of it is rooted in the 'outsider' perspective and bitterness that many transpeople may have experienced during their transition. Cisgendered people invariably treat them differently when they learn of their transgender nature and this can cause some of them (especially the younger tumbler SJW types) to develop a hatred for all things non-trans. It's just another example of human beings forming cliques and groups and saying that anyone outside of this group couldn't understand us an…

Cisgender is the opposite of transgender. It is someone who identifies with the biological gender they were born with. Now your next question may be: Why can't we just call that "normal"? Well think about implication if you are not cisgender, you'd be calling transpeople abnormal, which just isn't that tactful at best, and at worst is an attack on their identity.

WE've always been the settlers, discovering new places, building the frontier towns, the brave, the ones who died first. WE've always been the rational beings. I wonder if the systematic oppression of women prior to the 20th century had something to do with that?

It depends entirely on the jurisdiction; for example: in the United Kingdom, rape is defined by when a man "intentionally penetrates the vagina, anus or mouth of another person (B) with his penis". Essentially you cannot be a rapist in England unless you have a penis, so in the United Kingdom it is legally impossible for a woman to commit rape. You would need to read the specific statues of each jurisdiction (or just the one that you live in), to find out how the law defines rape per location.

How long have you been living together? If it's longer than a month or two, then she probably doesn't see you as a sexual prospect anymore. If it's a shorter period of time, you have to be willing to take a risk if you want a reward. Just understand that the risks may include, losing her as a friend and/or a roommate.

Mens Rights are not about debunking feminism; it's more to do with raising awareness and discussion over the fact that society is not equal for either gender. Feminism should not be embraced at the expense of men.

No, I don't get your point. I don't ask women out for dates just to hang out with them. I ask them out for dates because I'd like to make a connection, get to know them, and because I find them attractive; I'd like to fuck them. I'm not saying that I expect it with every date, but the intention is there each time I ask a woman out romantically.

While she claims that he needs to "play it out to understand stand it", her behaviour and tone suggest that she would rather he NOT play with violent toys, she is imposing a pretty pacifist view onto a young boy who really has no concept of why he shouldn't be playing the way he enjoys playing. She's a therapist who has no idea about childrens' developmental stages. I used to play guns and swords and violence all the time as a child. As an adult I have been in 0 fights, have never hit another person in anger and have only fired a gun once or twice. Anecdotal for sure, but I had a normal boy's childhood and guess what? If you understood the concept, then your reaction is emotionally based, rather than logically based. How do you account for your emotional fervor over a simple toilet seat? It seems irrational to me. It sounds like you're implying that women who complain about the seat are immature, when in fact it is far more logical for the seat to be down by default.
