You are life giving for your wife. The seed you have is what she craves and desires. Your semen contains vital minerals for your wife. It’s really a one way street, you give and she receives. By what measure of insanity could we believe that we as a church, add to Christ in any way. We are wanted, not needed. Your wife needs you. You want your wife. For her to be complete, she must have you. For the church to be complete, it must have Christ. Consider this....you are to your wife as Christ is to…

25 years of marriage, 23 1/2 years as a drunk captain. In the last year or so I’ve encountered this same situation (my sons are 19, 16, and 10)..... with a smile, physically turn her around, slap or pat her on the ass and say...”I appreciate your help young lady, but I got this. Take care of yourself, so you’re not late.”

If one is led by the spirit of God, one of results of being led is self control. If one is being led by the flesh, the results of being led by the flesh is no self control. Because we are responsible for and have accountability for what we do in our flesh, we should not allow our flesh to run wild. Your inner man is new and you want to do God’s will. Your flesh is still wrought with carnal desires and wants to do its will, as it’s always done. You, the new man, wants to bring glory to God throug…

Thank her for a good time, next. You’re not paying hookers for the sex.... you’re paying them to leave.

Does she have postpartum? That behavior for a new mom isn’t normal. My wife had postpartum for a very long time, and I had no clue. Meds helped but they came with a whole new set of problems. IMHO, and take it for what it’s worth...be the compassionate leader. Was she like this before you had a kid? She probably would never overtly tell you. Educate yourself.

There are many rules the church avoids. I have to agree that sex is a problem. “we” heeded the voice of our wives....and have allowed the doctrine of balaam to infuse the church. Blue pill is absolute abdication of the throne. Red pill, is realizing this error and crawling back on it.

My wife and I are not a traditional couple. She’s 5’7” and I’m 5’3”. We both like dancing, but are somewhat mismatched. What style of dance would you recommend?

I think the whole idea is being the Alpha in our marriage like Christ is Alpha. Other than God himself, there is no one more Alpha than Christ. God is Christ’s head, Chris is ours, and we are the head of our wives. Read Ephesians 5 Be the Alpha we were called to be, Being Beta is settling into a a role, abdication of your calling. Christ led us by teaching. Christ also led us by example. We are not left alone to figure this out by ourselves. We have the Holy Spirit, and we have each other. Pray …

I know this book isn't in the sidebar, but have you read The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks? It talks about upper limits and how to dissolve them.

Adam was AMOG’d by the serpent. Eve looked at the serpent as an authority over her husband. Hypergamy was at play. I see Hypergamy not as a design flaw in women, but a feature to always regard the highest alpha available. In Adam and Eve’s case, God was Alpha. Eve committed the first act of Idolatry by regarding the serpents word above God’s word. Notice that neither Adam nor Eve were cursed by God, only the ground and the serpent. Adam suffered the consequences of his indiscretions. Eve was giv…

If you are going the right way, then there is no need to turn around and go the other way. If we all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, then repentance is logical and necessary.

I totally agree about Satan. He reminds you of your sin using shame as a tool to control you. Satan, you’re not the boss of me, nor do you have a right to judge me. The Lord rebuke you.

I can’t think of a time Christ expressed shame. He was the spotless lamb, our scapegoat. He had zero sin of his own, therefore no shame. The sins of men he carried to the cross in his flesh. He poured out his soul and his spirit returned to God who gave it. The corpse on the tree cursed with sin from you and me. We are free to live for God and to love unsparingly.

Right on...it reminds me of when I was a kid in the 70’s there was a super bouncy rubber ball. This thing would hit the moon if you were able to bounce it hard enough.... we can simply let it go, and resist catching it again....or play with it until we get tired of fooling with it. Playing with it preoccupies our time and robs us of time spent doing better things.

The washing and regeneration begins with us trusting in God. This action is done by the Holy Spirit. It’s our job to not get in the way....like Peter telling Christ “you’ll never wash my feet.” Christians love to carry their shame like the mother monkey carrying her dead baby. Christ said his yoke is easy and burden light..... we have this proclivity to judge ourselves worthy of the iron yoke, and heavy load ( 1 kings 12:10) Quench not the spirit brother.

Most people will try to deal with the shame before they deal with the sin. Our model is Adam and Eve. Before sin, they’re eyes were closed to the fact that they were naked. Once they sinned, they were aware that they were unworthy of being in the presence of God. Children for example, do things unhindered by shame until we tell them they have sinned. When we internalize that we are flawed or bad (This doesn’t have to be true, just perceived), we feel unworthy of love. The shame cycle goes on and…

God sent.... he sends people, messengers, prophets, the law, plaques, fire, his son, the Holy Spirit, a beautiful landscape, natural wonders.... to turn you to him, to get your wide awake attention. Everyone wants to be wanted including God, but God does not need you. We do however, need him. God extends the invitation to every soul. Those that grab this golden ticket by faith are given every provision needed to complete their time on earth. Those that forsake their own mercy are allowed to go t…

Shame is absolutely the #1 thing men need to address aside from sin. The sin issue is paramount, then shame. The horse is sin, the cart is shame. Count me in on this discussion.

Married 23years. 48yrs old. 4 sons. Christian Spiritual Endure this season one moment at a time. You’re 27, you’ll die when it’s your turn.... it’s not your place to take your own life. Get out of your own head, but meditate on Gods word and name. You have a lot of shame. Without Christ Everyone has shame. You think you are not worthy. Without Christ, No one is worthy. You have a broken spirit, and you feel abandoned by God. Christ felt the same way. He pleaded with God to take this cup ( death …

There are Three things I see. 1. Wives are instructed to submit themselves to their own husbands. I know from experience that a wife will follow the lead of another man if her husband is not a. Leading her or b. not competent in scripture or Christ’s teachings. Even in the first century church, It would have been common for the wife to admire and respect the pastor over her own husband. Paul is putting things in order. 2. Husbands love your wives just as Christ loves the church. Clearly by right…
