Accept that you're different, and don't waste time stressing over it or beating yourself up for it (to whatever extent those apply to you). Obviously I can't possibly know your circumstances, but just because you're not able to get "professional" speech therapy right now doesn't mean you can't work on it. I'm sure you know this. To put it bluntly, I think you're making something that is legitimately already a non-issue, into an issue. Ahh yeah- had something like that when I was younger but they always hurt my ears where the plastic part rested on them. I honestly don't know anything about the whole Beats line except they apparently don't have a flat frequency response and that can be problematic when attempting to mix. Since it was mentioned, I just wanna reinforce the fact that you should take every precaution to protect your hearing. It is incredibly easy to damage the various tiny, delicate parts of your ears. They got the tyrant fired by having a bouquet 'accidentally' sent to her (the tyrant's) boss. The card indicated that she (the tyrant) had been secretly interviewing for other jobs, and not only had accepted one but hadn't been upfront with her current boss (who was the 'accidental' recipient of the bouquet).
