Anytime I bought my kids anything they enjoyed, my ex sold it or gave it to Goodwill. Nintendo Cube, Xbox, PS2, all brand new and taken from them by spring.

It's crazy how just acknowledging truth is enough to make us "right" and "conservative," now. Two terms I never would have associated myself with ten years ago.

I commend your resilience. But listen, you'll die sooner if you remain married. It'll drive you into the grave. Even if you leave the marriage in poverty, at least you'll be free. Debt can be overcome, especially once you're rid of the one spending all the money. Start living for yourself.

I grew up in the 80's. Elementary school no one I knew had divorced parents. By graduation ('92) I didn't know anyone whose parents were still together.

You don't get to believe the lies that make you feel good. Gods? Magic? Romantic Love? Make believe is make believe. It's frustrating to see so many men who claim to be MGTOW still clinging to religion. Religion is not the only way to have a moral code. Christians are some of the worst apologists for women. "...yes original sin, but God wants us to marry and multiply..."

Twice married, twice divorced. Cheated on by both women. Alienated from my own kids. Financially ruined for years. Women are blessed with the disturbing ability to rationalize anything to themselves, and convince the man they cheated on that he was somehow to blame for her infidelities. I don't want to be blackpilled. But I can't see any hope anymore.

Exactly. Micro-detailing fiction betrays a lack of creativity. And on a side note, so many reboots, prequels, franchises everywhere these days. I'm reminded of what slowly killed jazz. Everyone started paying the same "standards." Before you jazz fans start foaming at the mouth, I know there's still good jazz out there. But how many young people are listening and carrying on the art form. Pop and rock music is going the same way. Or maybe I'm just getting old.

I'm with you there. "Career Builders" are still the good little work horses that the slave masters throw scraps to. I don't understand how you can see through the illusion of "love" but still believe in the illusion of bootstrap economy.

You can see a similar example in media. Movies, particularly fantasy, sci fi, horror, used to be vague. You didn't always see the monster in the shadows in full CGI detail, the aliens' methods of propulsion didn't have to be scientific, characters didn't need to be observed and demonstrated in every conceivable circumstance. Horror movies today are cold, boring, fully explained and rationalized. And people are trying to be the same. No one likes ambiguity. No one tolerates grey areas or subtleti…

It's not a "movement." No more than stoicism or atheism are movements. That said, there are no hard lines dividing MGTOW from RedPill or Blackpill, even PUA's. There are subtle shades in most of us. You could stand two of us next to each other from the far ends of these three related concepts and we would probably have little in common. Men's philosophy is to help us understand. Women tend to think of ideas for defending their nature. Cultures that accept female nature and deal with it realistic…

This is very true. A lot of guys want a conflict and resolution quickly. But this will be a glacial event, spanning generations. Just as it took generations to get to this point. I've already raised kids unsuccessfully, been married and divorced twice. Now I'm alone. And I'm still relatively young. Kids are grown, so I'm done paying support. I used to look around at the current situation in our civilization and despair. But now it feels like the perfect time to be alive for a solo middle aged ma…

I have nothing anyone wants. As long as the neighbors on either side of me have more shiny things in their house, they are a more attractive target. I also live alone in a rural, isolated, depressed area with a low, aging population. Young, unpredictable, dangerous people leave and don't come back. I have a menial job that will be difficult to automate. But because I've been at it for so long, I make enough to get by. I drive a small car that is easy to ignore sitting between an SUV and a huge p…

I've watched Blackpilled's stuff off and on before. As an atheistic pantheist, if you can forgive that convoluted title, I feel like he puts too much emphasis on Christianity as a structure of successful society. Otherwise, a well put together deconstruction of the movie.

When I was 20 and in love with my wife and expecting our first child, I saw Forrest Gump 4 times in the theater. I loved it. 25 years, two divorces, finally alone and beginning to build my own world, and this movie only makes me angry.
