There's so much advice on staying quiet, but what about actually making conversation, being charismatic but also being the one that gains information rather than reveals it?
/r/TheRedPill18/01/17 03:44 AM

I've seen a lot of girls at the gym who are smiley and stuff then make a horrified look once the guys walk away. What was your magic opener that made her become so engaged?

I posted this in another response, but I'd like your input as well: The hardest thing about it isn't making mistakes — it's how to make them when you don't even know how to talk. TRP talks about keeping your mouth shut, thinking like sheep, taking rather than giving information, etc. and it becomes even more confusing when you also need to polarize, build rapport, lead interactions, and so on. So what do you do?

I understand your argument and it is a very deep-rooted. Similar to the argument of "Ignore praise because it will give the criticism more power." I do believe that people ought not to be a certain way. It may be a result of me having the anger-stage lingering around, and resentment over my past self. However, it still stands that there are always ways to optimize yourself and you should not be satisfied with anything less. The people that refuse to do so are inherently lesser. It may be an egot…

I'm not going to give you validation. Reread what I said, and read the sidebar. You really think that if someone out there was a 10/10 except for his brown skin, he can't get anywhere? Think about how ridiculous that sounds.
/r/askTRP13/01/17 09:24 PM

Zayn Malik is a brown dude, and he's still out there slaying it. The only ones that have a problem are the ones that think there's a problem. It's a result of Asian culture making them ridiculously submissive and shutting down critical thought. It's because Asian culture expects you to be a slave to your parents once you are able to provide, in order to "return the favor" for raising the child. The best shift in paradigm for this is that you only have a single life, and Kantian ethics dictate th…

Is rational male worth if you've been reading TRP for a while? It just reiterates concepts such as AF2BB, hypergamy, etc.
/r/askTRP13/01/17 07:49 PM

Both of my parents were the same as your mother, and I have such vehement and powerful resentment towards them, just absolute rage. Like my dream would be to give it all back, when I hit two plates on bench to fight my overly-macho father or get a loud enough voice where I can make them feel like children in front of me. Just the fact that they caused so many issues and set me back so far behind, the fact that I became cynical and happiness was sucked away from me as a child, the fact that you h…

Once you've discovered the root what's the solution? Whether that was death of parents, abuse, neglect, bullying, etc. you can never really "take away" that root. Are you just damaged forever?
/r/TheRedPill10/01/17 07:59 AM

Taking pleasure in the misery of others is victim mentality Why? For example, everyone does badly on an exam and it curves my grade up. Or if someone misses out/messed up on a job opportunity and I capitalized on it.

"We're both attractive people" is golden. Thank you. Any additions incase you're still wanting her as an LTR? Like "I'd like to be with you, but we're both attractive people so we'll be fine..." Also, is it bad to let a girl know she's a bit different to show your attraction without being too invested? For example, rather than directly showing interest I'll tell her, "I'm surprised, you're one of the few sorority girls that isn't a complete airhead" (tell me about yourself, etc). I'm not sure if…

Any way to get around without drinking? I know it's poison for your body but you look autistic if you can't drink. The poker chip idea is funny and actually really cool. How does the conversation usually go about the topic? It seems kind of weird to be honest, but still a great idea to tangibly show you're a man of your word. Also, best way to learn social etiquette? Tips on getting better with people and being a better salesperson? I just don't like people in general and when I see someone do something stupid or act autistic it gets me infuriated for some reason. Few questions: 1) How do you find what you're absolutely driven for? I enjoy many small activities such public speaking, gym, cooking, origami, calligraphy, and I might even be looking into MMA and Dance next semester. As far as subjects go, I enjoy finance, philosophy, and literature quite a bit. I think I've spread myself too thin, but I don't know where to focus. Well, here's the instance. Everyone in my group of 20 was discussing respecting differences to not offend anyone. They all talked about how they were mad about people's ignorance. I got up and said something along the lines of "This whole thing is dumb. Instead of being offended, why not take it as an opportunity to cause change and not blame them for what they don't know? Won't spilling feelings to your friends do several negative things though? First, knowledge is ammunition. I forget the exact quote but it's a Law of Power. Why would you give them emotional information, some of the most powerful things that they can use against you? Next, you're giving them something that they will give you shit-tests for, it's not good. It'll degrade you in the sense that respect forms bonds between guys. It might be "just banter" but it's worse than just keeping your feelings…

This is difficult. I've tried this and my head shuts down, I don't know what to say. A girl was unbelievably into me and I blew it by trying to be "nonreactive and not desperate" and she ended up telling everyone that I was socially awkward and didn't know how to talk. In other instances when this doesn't happen, I'm creepy. Advice?

Still keep eyes open for disrespect How do you attack disrespect non-physically? Just recently I was talking to two guys who are chill and help me out a lot. I told them I found a roommate online, and one said "What, off of World of Warcraft?" They both laughed and I couldn't think of anything to say so I said "Nah, just Minecraft." They asked if it was true and I said "Hell no, it was off of a roommate website."

End result? Women I knew called me creepy. I'm facing the exact same thing. What did you do? I'm trying to fix myself but its led to hyperaggression. I also don't know how to handle "pecking" (for pecking order) when first entering a group.

/r/TheRedPill12/06/16 08:42 AM

How would you recommend developing emotional intelligence? I've tried to be more aggressive and it's led to the loss of many friends from either instant cutoff or them thinking I'm insane. Being more soft only leads to the inevitable "pecking" which decides the hierarchy, but you can't act aggressively without seeming butthurt. As for keeping your distance, you don't really form friendships then.
/r/TheRedPill08/06/16 07:02 PM
2

This is exactly what I was thinking. How do you apply this for someone who decides to take over when they realize you're under their whim, i.e. essentially AMOGing you once they realize you've opened the door for them?
/r/TheRedPill08/05/16 07:43 PM
1

I'm not trying to disagree for the sake of just disagreeing, but if I fake it then there's no purpose. There is no legitimacy and it means nothing to me. Isn't that true?
/r/TheRedPill24/04/16 02:58 AM
2

So confidence is a skill rather than something you should cultivate. As in, I don't have to have anything to be confident about? Where does the legitimacy stem from then?

Thank you for your response. Friend zone happens from not being alpha enough. Creepy happens for the same plus not attractive enough for her taste. But I'm using examples where they were attracted first. It's unfortunate that you can lose being alpha for not being good enough beyond your looks. You don't want to be a robot. Show emotions and show that you understand her emotions. The emotions to not generally show are serious anger or sadness, but you want her to feel your positive emotions, esp…

Thank you for your response. I feel a bit awkward, and hell no I don't use pickup lines. I let things flow naturally which has the downside of not taking action. But the awkwardness happens even when they're attracted first. I can't help but think that "Are her standards that low?" And I don't know how to respond when someone is only coming at me for my looks. It feels shallow because it takes me personally some more digging for initial attractions. Especially when they're with someone else. As …

Thank you for your response. I suppose calibration is the easy answer. But there are still complications. Even when being an asshole, it hurts your reputation and puts you on not just rude but creepy. You're putting in investment in a strange way, which is what I've been trying to say. I got 7 upvotes but no answer on an earlier thread for posting this question: What about when you can generate some visual attraction, but don't know whether to be cold or hot enough? Have had girls weirded out that I tried too hard (friend zone or creepy) then on the other hand, girls who are even more weirded out when I don't show enough emotion (autistic or awkward). I see, thank you for your responses. I appreciate it very much. I can't help but be bound by them unfortunately. Not only because people like Newton discovered calculus before I knew it existed, but even at a local level I see my peers better by default. Why is cockiness bad though and where does it differentiate from confidence? For example, if I said "You're great" to myself in the mirror, it could be considered cocky but apparently that's how you establish a baseline for confidence. Cockiness is what helps you maintain actual frame, too. The only bad part of this would be overblown confidence that gets you into trouble if you go around talking about it, but Law 4: Always say less than necessary should cover that
/r/TheRedPill21/04/16 11:25 AM

How do you just "feel" confidence? I can repeat a mantra to myself in the mirror, but is that actual confidence or am I just brainwashing myself just to feel better? There will always be people more competent, thus where is the end goal of you feeling genuine confidence and self-esteem? You can always "fake it till you make it" but isn't it still fake?

You sound like a nice guy I agree with almost everything you've said except the above quote. I actually find it insulting. Nobody in this thread has understood or talked about the concept that I've tried to explain numerous times called 'manners,' and it seems as though you base your comment off of that. What I'm trying to explain is not that you should be submissive, but not being polite in instances where it is necessary can screw you over. This pertains to bosses and teachers. I'm saying this…

Thank you for your response. Yes, you are correct on the fact that I am not very masculine and despise the fact. I have nonexistent relations with my father, and my mother was overprotective. I also do not have any other female relatives. Of course, I am trying to fix this. I have begun lifting, but I find reading to be too onerous.
