13	Longest hunger strike in US history in protest against his wrongful conviction. Force fed and tortured. That's the WHOLE POINT. You have nothing left but to be heard by somebody. His life has been wrongfully thrown away, and yes he can just eat and make the best of his prison life, but he'd rather do whatever he can to get attention to his situation. He can't really protest any other way. Think outside of your box and imagine something you feel so strongly about that you would neglect your basic needs for it. 2	Perv = Desire I think this is the problem that's being addressed. Your definition of "perv" is more or less correct, but feminists in particular believe that showing any sexually interest in a girl makes you that "perv". I wouldn't believe that even four out of ten guys would come back around more than twice in a disrespectful manner after mustering up the confidence the first time and getting shot down. People don't seem to remember the average guy who's hints weren't picked up by the girl and how he disappears after.
