Yeah no I don't assume all women are treated that way. I met a couple of women who were pretty rude and vulgar to them and got along fine with men but still warned me to be careful. Nope. The men didn't sexually harass each other. I wasn't allowed to go to the bathroom on our breaks because they all just piss outside. Clearly you don't get it, but I was treated like an object of harassment rather than a coworker.

I don't hear women complaining about it more, as I just said, I literally experienced it. I work in healthcare and I've never witnessed men being dismissed or sexually harassed even as close to as much as I did working on pipeline. People like us are always going to disagree about something like this, so just save it.

Exactly. I've worked on several pipeline jobs and the harassment is incessant, and sometimes scary when you work and sleep at the same site/camp. Comments in this thread also pretty much make the point that many men don't think women are as capable anyway, so there's that additional pressure of always having to prove yourself, or just being dismissed altogether.

I'm going to guess you've never worked construction yourself. Or even a labour job? I've done summer jobs in construction and pipeline since I was 17 and I was never the only female. Exactly. When/if men are involved at this stage, they tend to have a say as well. Most women do value the opinion of their partner (otherwise they wouldn't/shouldn't be in a relationship).

I'm not looking far too into it. I find it odd that people are defending this and trying to appear innocent, like "he didn't even mention the womens' march". Ok then. A bit patronizing. I am glad I asked about the manspreading, etc. I do read redpill and the like but haven't actually heard anyone explain without getting super intense and angry which takes away from a lot of the great points you made.
