1	Who is more invisible to society, broke unattractive women or broke unattractive men? And that’s also because of societal standards which are often perpetuated by the patriarchy. We have been taught that men should be able to pick themselves up by the bootstraps and be independent. Because of this, there are a lot less resources for men for receiving help. Studies have shown that when men and women are looking for a spouse, men prioritize looks while women prioritize stability. You’re more likely to find a conventionally unattractive man with a conventionally attractive woman than the other way around. 1	Who is more invisible to society, broke unattractive women or broke unattractive men? I understand what you’re saying but looking at more of the societal standards, it makes sense. Men commit (or at least are arrested for) over 70% of crimes. It’s more reasonable to be more cautious of men than women. Also, you mentioned that it appears to be less homeless women too, so they stick out more. Because they stick out more than the men, people are probably more inclined to think about them and try and help. Also, let’s talk about WHY there are more homeless men on the street.
