I wasn’t “whining.” I wanted to know why he believed a gendered term like mansplaining was inherently sexist while a gendered term like bitch wasn’t. Which he already explained and I already accepted.

I mean, I don’t believe that I implied that it was okay for women to call men names so I am unsure of your question. But I understand your perspective that mansplaining and bitch are not the same as bitch as an insult is usually intended to be hostile while mansplaining is intended as a way to stop certain behavior. I have trouble accepting the validity of the first part of your comment, as the original comment was directed toward a man who clearly already views “mansplaining” to be insulting. However, I can understand the argument that the word is meant to be vulgar and crude and therefore they are not the same/ are not comparable. I suppose “bitch” would be more comparable to “dick,” as they are both (generally) gendered slurs used as insults, while “mansplaining” is more comparable to “gold-digger” or “d…
