Completely agree with all of this. Might I add, a relationship is its most successful when the women’s endurance and strength in all aspects of personality complements the man’s. A strong man will require a woman who rivals his individual level of strength. If it is not matched correctly, insecurity and envy will be inevitable.

God what an incredible poignant answer. This reads beautifully, thank you.

Sweetheart, it sounds like you have an anxious-avoidant/fearful-avoidant attachment style! Your situation sounds very very similar to my own (24F). And to answer your question, definitely go to therapy and/or seek out online self-help at the same time. You may not necessarily need to stop dating as meeting people is incredibly important when you're healing/going through therapy for one fundamental reason: you need to be putting the things you learn in therapy into practice, and that comes throug…

Someone who values self maintenance but not high maintenance. It takes me enough time at the moment to have a hair routine, skin routine, workout routine that anything more would just be too exhausting. As long as my nails are clean and healthy, I don't really care for painting them etc, same with makeup although I do see the value of makeup. Swearing less, being more kind, being more orderly. Smiling more. Being there for my partner, not speaking over him, listening to him, offering a safe ear,…

That it should be okay for women to sleep around when so many men sleep around and don't get the same treatment. When in fact men should actually be slammed for sleeping around just as much as women should get slammed. Sex is one of the only acts in this world that encompasses pure love for one another and it's been twisted into being "just an act" and therefore transactional, something to barter with even. A man who has slept around is not someone I would want to be with: it simply shows that h…

If he still had feelings for any of his exes he would probably still be with them or would be actively trying to get together with them. Men, especially successful men the guys you want to be with, are quite straight forward when it comes to going after what they really want and are also pretty straight forward at communicating that. If he hasn't given any red flags indicating he's chasing one of his past relationships, think it's pretty safe to say that you should trust his actions - which are …

Marina and the Diamonds, Florence & the Machine & Jannelle Monae but only her first two albums (her songs are literally about everything, you could come across stuff you don't like)

Feel the same way, 21 & having graduated from an extremely liberal degree in one of the most liberal and progressive universities in the UK (and yet is STILL criticised for not being supposedly 'progressive' enough, lol). Completely changed world view, mindset, morals etc at the end of first year, dropping out not an option, and not being able to just go along with the reeeeeeeeally all-consuming SJW mindsets and activities around me has left me friendless.

If you find the right man to commit to, he should see past the number that you've slept with (which is all in the past), recognise you're a different person, and instead actually consider it very honest and open of you to be disclosing something so personal and so potentially risky (or could be perceived as).

It's not all about him. He says he wants you back, but it's probably because he knows you're easy to manipulate and coerce because he knows you're hurt and hurt people are vulnerable and easy to manipulate. If he really did love you, he would take the fact that he has hurt you seriously and he would be respectful of your need for space and time and wouldn't be pressuring you to make any rash decisions. He may have known that he was hurting you, or he may have not, but the relationship clearly wa…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
