Get your European standards out of here, they make too much sense. In America, you either believe in having financial freedom or social freedom. Never both. Never none.

I like hundreds of thousands of women. Every woman I see goes into one of two categories: would bang / would not bang. If I’m really bored, I can think of more categories, like: would bang a second time / would bang only once. You clearly don’t know what love is. Sure, to the untrained mind, the flood of emotions you get while doing the dirty dirty can easily be misinterpreted as love. But let me assure you, it’s not. Next, while you’re searching for potential partners, you need a way to organiz…

I was specifically referring to the number of men that receive alimony compared to women. Article like this quickly confirms their bias that women do receive special treatment, either legally or via cultural expectations. https://www.sflg.com/blog/2014/11/why-are-only-3-percent-of-alimony-recipients-men/ FYI, I’m neither here nor there on this. The statistic is what it is, and I’d need a lot more background information before making a judgment.

Well the manosphere looks at it like any other statistic is generally used. Reddit is particularly bad about saying “here’s a statistic, must be true”

Vague question, since you’re involved in law (and I’m not). A lot of the language is “considerations” or like at the bottom “Any other factors the court determines are just and equitable.” Sounds like courts really have the freedom to do whatever they’re going to do. Are courts, more or less, obligated to follow precedent of earlier cases? Or do they have more freedom, based on how they feel at the time? Like to put this in context, I’m an engineer. Numbers go in, numbers come out. This level of…

I should probably replace “solely” with “primarily”. But yeah, i wouldn’t mind if you could walk me through how alimony works in like California. Never been through the process myself.

Obviously depends on the woman. Ideally in a relationship, you cover each other’s weaknesses. For many women, the primary benefit is income. Out of my 4 neighbor couples I regularly communicate with, 3 of the wives are stay at home mothers. Those 3 really don’t ever express any desire to get a job. They enjoy what they’re doing now. One of them divorced her husband, and already had his replacement picked out before the divorce was finalized. She’s now enjoying child support and alimony, and won’…

It may be less common, but doesn’t mean it’s non-existent. Alimony varies by state, but is often solely based on income difference. Smart and hard working doesn’t imply equal income. So when there’s a divorce, the court often sets out to give the lower earner (usually the woman) more money to help offset the quality of life change. For an extreme example, there’s MacKenzie Scott, ex-wife of Jeff Bezos. She got like 59 billion or something out of her divorce.

Then why you mad, girl? Think about this for a second, if entire cultures exhibit a behavior, why is it even remotely absurd that individuals outside that culture would exhibit a similar behavior? Toxic masculinity isn’t just reinforced by men. I do think there needs to be a balance though. You show too much weakness and it’s only understandable that you’re perceived as being weak. There’s some truth to RP when they say that many women want to feel secure and protected by men. And if you’re an emotional wreck, you don’t put off a sense of stability. I wouldn’t date an emotionally unstable woman (again).

I think there’s a certain truth in Red Pill statements. There’s a certain psychology to attraction and dating. And methods to explain are perfectly fine. What bothers me is the virgin fanatics on here that still live in their parent’s basement who claim they’ve figured out the entire human psyche. It’s quite a ridiculous claim. They wouldn’t be so mad about being incel if they did. Like your husband, I’m kind of Red Pill without being “Red Pill”. I think men should have balance in their own live…

When you’re proven wrong, it doesn’t mean the goal posts were moved. It means the original statement that you support is wrong. The original person I responded to asserted that controlling men do not exist. I simply pointed at the most obvious example.

I’m simply referring to numbers. It’s almost a pretty even split between males and females in most countries. Strictly talking about the numbers. If you have 100 males, 100 females. 70 males are in a relationship, 80 females are in a relationship. Either multiple women are dating the same man, or they’re dating each other.

Haha. Oof. When I was younger and more naive, I thought the regular stuff, like love conquers all. No matter what problems a relationship faced, I could work through them. I dated bipolar once. Happy cake day. Also, never said it applied to most men. But I don’t think OPs question applies to most men, since most men to not meet both requirements set by OP. Men that do, frequently have psychological or emotional issues. Psychology is inherently anecdotal. While you can apply statistics to anything, statistics provide little insight to how people think, even if they provide a lot of information on how they act.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/21 10:52 PM

Sure. But I don’t think OP was referring to average. Some of the loudest people on here are crazy. I think if you get most of us in the same room with a beer, you’d find out that most people aren’t too crazy. I also think that using finances is an entirely unhealthy manifestation of being needed, which can totally backfire on the man. And generally leads to low quality relationships.

Yeah… I can relate to that a little bit. My father frequently reminded us that his authority came from god. I was homeschooled for several years too. Was allowed to be independent, as long as that meant doing/saying/believing whatever he wanted me to. Spent a few years of my life adjusting back from the brainwashing. I think it’s scary how common it really is. I’m happy with where I ended up. Unfortunately, I can not give any advice on that. My wife is wonderful, but how I ended up with her is a…

Not a single person mentioned red pill. Further, there is a toxic minority that exists on reddit that actually want to subjugate women and look to the middle east as an example of how women should be treated. One of the core tenants of the Red Pill is to explain HUMAN BEHAVIOR. It's rather ignorant of you to argue that just because it's a different culture, it doesn't apply here. Red Pill is about denying what society tells you to believe and look towards evolutionary psychology. I'm simply poin…

His actions made sense, when you put them in perspective of the girl that just broke up with him. It absolutely devastated him. And it was a way for him to maintain control in his own life. I get that. Maybe I'm wrong on why he criticizes her, I was just looking for an explanation. He does say she's stupid, and that she wouldn't survive in life without him. But he's not ruthless towards her, there's still some amount of appreciation. I don't fully understand that one myself

There exists, in some men, the desire to maintain absolute control in a relationship. The woman not working ensures that she must rely on the man 100% for food, shelter, etc. Resenting her for it is, in a way, enforcing the idea that the man is superior. I know someone who was absolutely devastated when his girlfriend broke up with him. His response was to go out and find a girl who was entirely dependent on him financially and emotionally. He married someone who is autistic enough that she need…

“Dehumanizing” cannot have any moral implications if you can’t define what a human is, and justify why things that are less human don’t have the same moral implications when they are harmed.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/21 09:55 PM
2

Don’t fall back on society’s standard. Because right now, society’s standard is that abortion is legal. Since it’s legal, it must be morally acceptable. That’s using your own logic. Done with you. Go read a book or do something to enhance your critical thinking, kid.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/21 09:35 PM

If you can’t explain why killing a pig is morally acceptable, yet killing a human embryo is morally wrong, you have no business lecturing people on morals. “Because human embryo is human” is not an acceptable answer
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/21 08:58 PM
1

It’s very clear that your only argument is: “abortion is murder, because fertilized egg is human.” But back to my original statement, you’d never be able to program a computer to recognize what a human is. Interesting isn’t it? That YOU don’t know what a human is
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/21 08:30 PM
1

No, I said a strict definition. “Capacity for human thought and reasoning” Mentally sound is used differently within normal speech. Now answer my question, what’s the difference between the two embryos? It’s okay that you don’t know.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/21 08:28 PM
1

Nice straw man. Im kidding, this is a low quality debate. You’ve yet to answer my early posed questions. Or rebute that your whole argument is simply based on the future potential. EZ answer. Capacity for human thought and reasoning is the qualifier for being human. Think about this for a second. 2 embryos, one human, one pig. Why is it only murder with the human embryo?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/21 08:09 PM
1

No, it’s not as human as I am. I am absolutely suggesting that a fertilized egg is not as human as we are. It’s not thinking. There is no capacity for thought or feeling in a fertilized egg. That’s an absurd statement.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/21 07:55 PM
1

You’re ignoring the next 9 months that also have to go well. There is a high possibility that it will grow into what we recognize as a human, but there is a chance that it won’t. And that chance is probably higher than you’d expect. It’s simply a potential human.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/21 07:48 PM
1

No, it only undergoes they process if it remains in the womb. If ejected from the womb, that process stops. If you look at a fertilized egg under a microscope, it looks quite similar to a non-fertilized egg, except for an extra packet of dna.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/21 07:40 PM
1

I don’t agree dude. Mere potential doesn’t determine humanity. If a child was born brain dead, it’d be murder to take it off life support, by your reasoning
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/21 07:32 PM
1

Wow. I knew courts often rule in favor of the children’s best interest, but that’s odd if both parents agree to it.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/21 07:30 PM
1

You’re the one that suggested it is human, by virtue of it potentially growing to be human one day. Same thing can be said if any unfertilized egg. Letting an egg go unfertilized must be murder as well, right? It’s still human dna, wrapped up in a nice little package
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/21 07:21 PM
1

So conception? So it’s the mere fact that the fertilized egg has the potential to one-day be a human?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/21 07:09 PM
2

I would guess that men can only sign away their parental rights if the mothers let them. Usually, the man is on the hook financially, if the mother wants him to be. I could be wrong though. And let’s be honest, most people don’t pass up a free pay check. Some do, but not most
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/21 07:07 PM
1

I’ll take the bait. I’m not even really pro-choice, but your statement is loaded, so let’s debunk that. At what stage is it considered murder? When does a human become human? What are specific human traits, the absolute necessary ones, to determine what a human is. Like if you were teaching a computer. Describe to me exactly.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/21 07:04 PM

There’s been a lot of discussion on the internet that men should be able to financially abort a child, as long as it’s held to the same restrictions as a physical abortion. Counter-argument is that children who are financially aborted would suffer because of it.

That doesn’t necessarily have to be a romantic partner. Support and love can be from friends, family, community, etc. But I do agree. That sense of belonging and support you get is very important to mental health.

We already went down that road. You could just as easy say gouge out your eyes if you don’t need them to be happy. I don’t think people need dogs to be happy, but I wouldn’t get rid of my dog either. Edit: it’s a ridiculous statement to tell people to sacrifice something they love or heavily depend on just to prove that they don’t need it. There’s a whole lot of things that my happiness doesn’t depend on. I’d still tell you to go fuck yourself before I throw them away, just to prove a point. “Bu…

Sure, romantic relationships are important to happiness. But there are other sources, like the companionship of good friends, the feeling of accomplishment, the appreciation for new knowledge or experiences, or even that content feeling you get from safety after a near death experience. Sorry to hear that. I’ve known a few people to commit suicide. But I think that kind of depression goes deeper. I believe they need more help than simply being in a relationship. Mental health is a real pandemic right now, and we aren’t terribly good at recognizing and treating problems.

You said can they “live” when I think you meant “can they be happy”. I think people can be happy without significant romantic relationships. Alcoholics have the lowest appreciation for alcohol. When he’s sober, he will drink anything he can get ahold of, even moonshine at the expense of his vision. No disagreement on any particular point. We find partners because it makes happier to be emotionally connected to others. Sex is quite nice too. We are social creatures. But I think there’s a lot of value in learning to make the best of the current situation. Happiness really does come from within, even if there are external contributing factors. You’re right, I wouldn’t leave my partner. But I don’t think that’s a fair question. That’s like saying “if you don’t need a dad to grow up and function fine, you’re okay with me killing yours, right?” It’d be the same as asking anyone to empty out their bank account, sell all their possessions, and donate everything, because they say “money doesn’t buy happiness”. It’s just supply and demand. People like driving up demand over artificial scarcity, see crypto. One thing that honestly bothers me a little bit is women’s unrealistic height expectation. Women than can’t use a tape measure know that they’re unwilling to date anyone under 6’. My wife’s best friend from high school is not attractive. That’s fair. I don’t know how true it is. It may have a bit of truth to it. One problem I see is that if a woman is being nice and respectful just because she’s expected to, there is a component of the relationship that you’ll be lacking. There are many marriages that don’t have love, but they do have respect. And those marriages will often last. But I’m not sure that’s the type of relationship I’d want.

Meh. I think mathematically, you’re correct. And then there’s preference, which really inflates the numbers. Both women and men prioritize the wrong things in relationships, then are confused when the relationship goes bad. For example, a 7/10 woman chasing Chad is confused when Chad just pumps and dumps her? 35 year old former Chad is confused when his trophy wife cheats on him because 35 year old Chad is now a fat plumber and they both got married strictly based on looks? Been with a lot of women? If you have, maybe women act different with women than men? My wife didn’t say “I was playin go games”, but she said “hard to get”. So, I do apologize for that, since “games” does carry more negative connotation. Before I became a little more assertive, I tried flirting with a girl and it didn’t go anywhere. We remained friends, and after she was married she was asking why I never tried to date her. I told her I did, but she didn’t seem into me. Her reply was “you didn’…

All women are different. But no one is arguing with you on the definition of “no” It literally only has one meaning, even if the girl is playing games. My wife loves to flirt and be coy. While we were dating, she said no to me, so I immediately stopped, started getting dressed and got ready to do my own thing. She got reassured me she was just playing games like many women do, and we got back to business. Women playing games really isn’t uncommon. I had to teach my wife (while we were dating) th…

Bullshit they don’t. What are considered human rights varies from culture to culture, but everyone recognizes that they don’t want to be tortured or enslaved. And yeah, there are definitely people I’d have removed from the planet. I freely admit my ignorance with other cultures. But there comes your self-righteousness again, assuming that you’re the moral superior and less ignorant. I’ve been talking to an Iraqi refugee all week about his experiences in a war-torn country. Listening to his persp…

Nope. I simply stated that what other countries do matters. And that’s definitely the case when it comes to human rights violations. There are justified situations where we (the international community) cannot stand idly by. If you disagree with that, you don’t deserve to live on this planet. 🤷‍♂️

Women being submissive (enslaved) is literally mentioned in OPs post. You’ve got a morality issue if you see nothing wrong with enslaving women. There’s also a huge disconnect if you think we need to stay out of other countries’ business, yet you think it’s okay to enslave another human. I don’t think you understand what morality is, buddy. Lastly, look up the definition of “self-righteous” and try again to tell me how you don’t think it applies to you.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/21 10:27 PM

Everyone is self-righteous. That’s a human trait. And all your arguments are called “straw-man” arguments. I never once said any of the things you accuse me of. But you literally did say women need to be submissive, it’s still in your comment history. Now, stop trying to establish yourself as some kind of moral superior, while suggesting that women are property of men. It’s clear you don’t have a moral foundation to stand on.

Countries exerting their will how how the world works, unfortunately. Not to suggest it’s right, but this goes on all over the world. China is actively trying to take over Taiwan, and just got done subjugating Hong Kong. Russia… doesn’t need examples. Iran is very active in Iraqi affairs. France, UK, Denmark, Netherlands still have territories. The list goes on and on. Does it justify US imperialism? No. Is US unique? Not at all. US just gets the most visibility

Saying we shouldn’t have ever invested as much time or money into Afghanistan is a fair statement, and may be true. I think we had enough justification to go after Bin Laden, but maybe not any further. Saying “not your land, not your business” is pure ignorance. Why do your care about what we did there? “Not your land, not your business.” How about you practice what you preach and stay in your own lane with your head in the sand
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/21 03:44 AM

Dude, no. Worst statement ever. A broad sweeping general statement like that has no value in any discussion. Children being molested next door? “Not your land, none of your business” Nah. At some point, other people’s business does become our business. Should we be all up in everyone’s business all the time? No. Did we do the right thing by getting involved in WW2 against the Nazis? Probably.

Basically you’re saying “I can get most women into bed with me, if they come willingly into bed with me.” That’s really a big accomplishment, I guess. Like yeah, I get what you’re saying. Personality is important, definitely. But by “most women”, you actually just mean a subset of women: single, horny women, whose minimal standards I meet, and like my personality enough.

It does provide some legal benefits. But yeah, people shouldn’t consider it lightly. You can experience all that life has to offer without the marriage.

I don’t think there’s a limitation as far as the “slightly above average salary” goes. Women are well aware they’re in a class, and they’re always trying to do the best they can. You can’t really blame them. But even below average income looks good to someone used to far below average, and that is marrying up. Edit: you can’t blame them, because everyone is trying to do the best they can. It’s a goal in life.

I used to hang with an ugly guy that had game. Attitude matters. He never came home alone from a night out, unless he wanted to. Some girls he picked up were very attractive. Now what I consider ugly and what girls consider ugly might be two different things. Apparently, girls were attracted to him enough. But it was his personality that got him laid, not his face.

Maybe slightly off topic. I was in a very toxic relationship with a woman who had many issues that I wasn’t equipped to deal with. I thought she was hot, and Completely ignored all the red flags. The relationship lasted only a year, and I’m surprised it lasted that long. I came out fine, no baggage or anything. But I really learned which traits I value in a partner. It was an important lesson for me, completely changed how I rate women.

Congrats on your journey. I experienced something similar myself. It’s funny that you say everyone assumes you’re a natural. I definitely don’t think women want only naturals. I think it’s a minor factor at most in their decision making process. But I do think they care less about the journey and more about the destination, unless you’re both on the journey together.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/21 12:30 PM

I dunno, can go either way. “Naturals” have a higher ceiling. At least it’s often perceived that way. Since the natural doesn’t have to try as hard, when they start trying, they’ll surpass their peers. It’s usually not until your late 20’s or mid 30’s that you see most of the naturals from high school ended up nowhere, because they never learned how to overcome a challenge.

No. Attraction is subjective, not objective. There's no measure for attractiveness outside of human perception (bias). There is a general consensus that youthful appearances are often more attractive. But this cannot be stated objectively, just statistically. There’s probably far more factors than I could possibly guess, but: 1- wealthy men have more options to upgrade to newer models. It’s hard on middle class couples. 3- religion may play a part. I think there might be a correlation between wealth and religiousness, and that might contribute to the stats. I am assuming that religious couples divorce l…

That’s the assumption I made. But I think status does play a much larger part than most people give credit. I think being a “Chad” has more to do with societal views, rather than physical attraction. But that’s just my thought, and they really don’t matter much :)

Having women “love” you and having a meaningful and close relationship are not the same. Lots of women “love” douchebag celebrities, and don’t know them. If using divorce rates as an indicator of unsuccessful relationships, then douchebaggery is a very clear indicator for traits that will ruin a relationship. There are definitely people within the RP community (maybe most of them), that just want to be PUA. I think that’s where this debate stems from. Many RP habits are just healthy body, healthy mind. And everyone likes people who are healthy, inside and out. That being said, most self-proclaimed “RP” posts and comments make me cringe. Lots of guys have turned to RP solely as a strategy to pick up women. Sorry bud, you have not mastered the entirety of the human psyche just because you started worki…

You’re trying to generalize everyone. While averages may play into the your statement/question, it simply isn’t true on an individual basis. Some men are far needier (emotionally) than many women are, and vice versa. I’ve seen both sides, they both exist. Both society and expectations suggest that women are more needy, and that may be true on average. But some of that is probably due to societal gender roles and expectations. All the stupid crap on TV. But there are enough examples of the revers…

Takes two to plan for things. Few people have mentioned there’s no safety net when the average man (person really) makes bad decisions in other aspects of life. Now, I’m completely supportive of women developing skills before pumping out a few children. This is a conclusion that the couple should arrive at together. It’s not simply for divorce, but a medical catastrophe could happen to the male as well. Hell, dude could just get laid off during a recession. I’m not for or against alimony, there …

In a more perfect world, you’re absolutely right. There are some logistical concerns to be considered when you throw a couple women into an all male unit. Normally, they try to separate male and female berthing/barracks. You’d probably want to assign the unit a female doctor, in addition to the normally male doctors. I peed in a 2” pvc pipe for like two months. I don’t think there were any women on that FOB. But they would have had to add some extra facilities. Of course that can all be addresse…

Upvoted. I’m all for empowering women to put them on equal footing with men (where reasonable), and argue for the same for men (when reasonable). There’s never going to be true equality, since our biology is different, but we should be able to get fairly close in regards to laws and social treatment.

I tend to disagree. Women would create a standard and it would constantly update. We’ve seen what is considered attractive constantly change throughout history. Very fair skin, for example, was and is considered attractive in many cultures. But in America, very fair skin is not seen as attractive as having a “healthy tan”. Attractiveness is not completely driven by biological factors, cultural influences also play a large role. The simple fact that humans are envious will artificially create sca…

Just depends on the person. Kids don’t want to play with their old toys, unless another kid is playing with it, then they’re jealous. Many adults aren’t vastly different than children. New toys are always more exciting, for a little while. So yeah, you’re right. But I wouldn’t want to be married to a woman completely driven by those emotions.

That as a blanket statement just isn’t true. Haven’t you seen or heard about how much attention a guy gets once he’s in a committed relationship or married? There’s something to be said about the confidence boost on the male’s part, but a wedding ring is just a challenge to many girls.

I do see your point about “I’m right, so if you don’t agree with me, then you’re opposed to science and fact.” That’s been said like 12 times in this thread alone. It’s kinda douche-like and makes me cringe. On another note, is it coincidence that RP is also role player, and both Red Pillers and Role Players are pretending to be someone else and trying to increase their stats to get booty?

Fair enough. I believe more women would do fine in STEM, if they chose to. ME was a tough degree at my school, but the few girls that put in the time and effort did just as well or better than the average male. They tended to be just as good at math. I don't think mechanical intuition comes as easy to most females as it does males, but I think that's cultural upbringing.

You're right, in that I am not always impressed with the knowledge displayed by healthcare professionals. But nonetheless, health is a highly technical field, even if a lot of "professionals" are average. A good doctor has a wealth of knowledge and understands many of the inner-workings of the human body. Even in math and engineering, you end up with the same situation. Most mathematicians teach or work in a field that is mostly unrelated. Most engineers do not use most of their skills from scho…

OP, you're so obviously right, did it even need to be stated? While I do like how you pointed out that health is a highly technical field that is dominated by women, there's not even any room to debate with your statement. I'm referring to "all women..."

He and you, both also appear to agree with OP. There's a type of man that seeks validation through high n count, when it's not a good measure of success. OP just says he's a virgin (negative connotation), but virgin shouldn't carry negative connotation, except to men (and women) that seek validation through high n count.

Would you elaborate? I seem to agree with early feminism, though I haven't studied it in any detail. Susan B Anthony argued that women shouldn't be bound by laws that only protect and grant rights to men. I tend to think sometime between then and now, there has been a drastic change in the movement.

I agree with cxj here. In a fair system, man should only pay half. But I'm not gonna fight for that, I'll settle for the paying full and getting out of child support. What is really funny though, is if the man wanted to keep the child and the woman wanted an abortion, we could never find common ground for equality. We all see eye to eye on the case where the man wants out but the woman wants to keep it, but if we reverse it, say man wants to keep the child and woman wants to abort it. Then we go…

Critical and judgmental towards those with different opinions? That's pretty close to the definition of bigot. But instead of going down that road, how does me being submissive towards my spouse, or vice-versa, have any impact on you being a man's equal? Btw, I wish you the best in your search for equality or whatever you hope to find, but I'll give you a hint: you cannot combat social injustice with intolerance. You an I are equals in almost all legal aspects, but only tolerance will let you be…

Bingo! Thanks for replying. You're a pretty good example of the person who hijacked feminism. Now when you're attacked for the way you behave, you can say you've earned it, it's how you treat others.

It's because feminism has been hijacked. It no longer represents equality, but to empower women, and classify dissenters as sexist. Examples in recent history: 1) women should be allowed to serve in the infantry, but not be forced into the draft. 2) women should have full authority over abortion; men's vote should not count. Yet men should still be forced to pay child support; men rarely win custody battles. 3) "equal pay for equal work" is only aimed at getting women into high level white colla…
